Well thats the reason for my question. Can anyone help me work this out through Jesus words?

Does Jesus and Paul contradict each other?

No, they do not. Paul even tells us so and tells us to withdrawal ourselves from those that don't accept what Jesus says:

1 Timothy 6:3-5
If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;

He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

It seems Jesus is teaching a works based faith.

Faith without works (corresponding action) is dead James 2:26

The act of choosing to repent of our sins to believe the Gospel and get born again is one of the good works God has ORDAINED that we walk in.

Ephesians 2:10
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Some people refuse the ORDINATION of the Lord so they will have an excuse to continue in sin. After all they claim God made them to be a sinner when they were conceived in their mother's womb so they believe they cannot escape sin. These people are the tares the Lord warned us about who teach and embrace false doctrine.

James 1:22
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

Romans 8:13
For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
(NOT in our own strength - see Philippians 4:13)

Romans 6:14-16
For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

I would need to conclude then that Jesus and James are foundation and Paul is secondary for a deeper faith. Must use discernment. I don't belive its fair to say Paul is speaking for Jesus. Its sad to see the church knows more about Paul then Jusus. I would go as far to say that Paul should be challenged and questioned.

It seems Jesus is teaching a works based faith.
These are some teachings of Jesus and then Paul

“For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; and hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man. Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, and shall come forth;

they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life;

and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:26-29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

and now paul teaching the same thing with more revelation

God “will repay each person according to what they have done.” To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life.

But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger.

There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile;

but glory, honor and peace for everyone who does good: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. For God does not show favoritism.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭2:6-11‬ ‭NIV‬‬

The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; and shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:41-43‬ ‭

And Paul

“Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭6:9-

you have to be careful with Paul’s letters like Peter warns because people distort then and get us away from the truth , the word of Christ which Paul echoes in all of his teachings .

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad. Since, then, we know what it is to fear the Lord, we try to persuade others. What we are is plain to God, and I hope it is also plain to your conscience.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:10-11

He often uses imagery like this to call believers to repentance and obedience

“Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation—but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it. For if you live according to the flesh, you will die;

but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:12-13‬ ‭NIV‬‬

later he defines what the deeds of the flesh that being death are and we find out it’s sinful actions and behaviors and mindsets

The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:19-21‬ ‭

Paul was always telling them these things just like Jesus at the same time offering those who believe comfort and assurance if they continue on they’ll be saved

I would need to conclude then that Jesus and James are foundation and Paul is secondary for a deeper faith. Must use discernment. I don't belive its fair to say Paul is speaking for Jesus. Paul claims to have received revelation directly from Jesus.

Does Jesus and Paul contradict each other?

They had different audiences;

Mat_15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Rom_11:13 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:

All the red letter parts. Jesus very much stresses good works. He says if you love me then obey me. To follow the law of love brings you back to the law of one.

MATHEW 5
He said:
3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are those who mourn,
for they will be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Jesus' own words show clearly what He wanted:

Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?”

Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent. (John 6:28-29, NIV)

Well thats the reason for my question. Can anyone help me work this out through Jesus words?

Jesus quotes to Satan from Deuteronomy 8:3.

And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.”

Note the many times Jesus quotes the Old Testament.
He had no problem giving it due authority, The word of God.

Then you would be wrong and should be disagreed with (unless you are referring to 1Thes. 5:21).
If God is so tricky that He allowed the major apostle and co-founder of Christianity
to write wrongly and mislead folks, then we are in deep doo-doo!

John 14
21 Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”

Do you know Jesus commands.

John 14:15
“If you love me, keep my commands."

Jesus says keep my commands.

Luke 6:46
“Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you?

Jesus commands obedience
1 john 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Gods judgment is based on how we treat others.

James 2:18
But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without works, and I will show you faith by my works.

Again works based faith.

Mathew 16
24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wants to come after Me, let him deny[a] himself, and take up his cross[b], and be following Me. 25 For whoever wants to save[c] his
life[d] will lose it. But whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. 26 For what will a person be profited if he gains the whole world, but forfeits his life[e]? Or what will a person give in-exchange-for his life?

We are not saved by grace but by self denial and obedience.

Jesus gave commands to His DISCIPLES that He did not require for the free gift of everlasting life.

It cost something to be a disciple.
Preachers who mix commands of discipleship with those of salvation are muddying the pure water of the Word. That's why Jesus got so angry at the preachers who claimed to represent His Father. They didn't know the Father. Jesus didn't know them either. They were none of His and they made their proselytes two fold children of Hell.
The same is true today.

To REALLY KNOW God's Word, we will have to ask this guy.
He and Thomas Jefferson have their own Bibles picking and cutting out the sections that are not in agreement with their views. So far he has eliminated over half the New Testament because Peter apparently didn't know what he was talking about when he got behind Paul, so there goes his epistles. Then there were the assistants of Paul who knew the Lord. That ol Luke the beloved physician can't be trusted, so let's ask this Bible scholar if we can trust anything in Luke's Gospel or Acts.

Heck, his pair of scissors must be mighty dull by now.

Really then what happened to the apocrypha from the 1611 KJV bible?

Your not addressing that one teaches works and sacrifice and the other teaches grace and finished work.
No, they do not. Paul even tells us so and tells us to withdrawal ourselves from those that don't accept what Jesus says:

1 Timothy 6:3-5

Mortification is to suffer to achieve sanctification. This is works based.

So teaching the law of love is just for a select fiew?

The law can't save.
We already broke it.
Your topic is on salvation.
You are trying to convince Evangelicals (mostly) that Jesus teaches legalism as the means of salvation and that Paul was a false prophet.

Jesus suffered for our sins, all of them.
He died and arose because people are lawless breakers of Moses law.

10For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

17For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
Do you want to disregard John's gospel too?
