Hey everyone!

What are some of your best (or worst) "Don't You Hate It When..." Moments?

Here are a few of mine:

Don't you hate it when...

1. Someone sets you up on a date in the forums... and you didn't even know about it until you started catching up on threads. :)

2. Someone mentions a food item that, like a bad song, you just can't get out of your head.

My boss and I were arguing over the pros and cons of seeing a movie in the theater (he was pro-theater) vs. at home (I was pro-rental) and he happened to mention "the delicious, buttery, movie theater popcorn." Aw crud. I've been thinking about that doggone popcorn for 3 days.

Therefore, I now find myself with a bag of full-on butter, full-on fat, full-on-butter-on-fat popcorn (from the microwave... Yes, I know the fumes alone will kill you but I just could not be bothered with making real popcorn today) and ready to chow down.

And thanks to Olerica and Catherder, I've been craving cheesecake for at least a month. Sigh. The thing is, I just can't decide on what flavor or kind I want (and if I really want to spend the $.) One of these days...

Don't you hate it when the happiest parts of your entire being... are your fat cells?!

What are your "Don't You Hate It When" Moments?
 
1. when that whole ariana grande doughnut licking 'scandal' happened a few weeks ago, all could think about was how much i really really really wanted a doughnut.

i satisfied the craving with a maple 'bacon' doughnut from a local vegan bakery.

I find it hilarious, or maybe a bit disturbing, that the story of someone licking donuts and then putting them back for poor unsuspecting folks to buy... actually made you CRAVE a donut to the point of no return.

That donut shop looks SWEET... but I won't tell you about the hairy, unshaven, unwashed guy who works in the back and never, EVER wears a hair net. Or deodorant. Or uses soap.
 
Never ever uses SOAP and he works around FOOD? Hold on, I'm going to go and sit and have a big ol cry.

Also? CALL IT IN TO YOUR LOCAL HEALTH DEPARTMENT. Cause that is gross... and nasty and so ick and wrong. If you can't clean yourself and keep people from you crud? You don't deserve a job where people are being fed. Sorry.
 
When you pull into a drive-thru and the line is long so they bring out your food before you get to the window, but after you get the food you can't leave because the cars are too close together...

This never happens anymore :( Now the food takes forever...
 
WHEN YOU HAD ADREAM YOU JUST WAKE UP,TRY TO SLEEP TO GO BACK TO THE DREAM...AND YOU CANT EVEN SLEEP AND WHEN YOU DO,YOU WAKE UP,AFTER ANOTHER DREAM YOU KNOW YOU HAD BUT CANT REMEMBER..AGH
 
When u ask for extra sauce with a carry out and its a sum total of two packets, along with an “small” charge on your bill.I think its payback for dodging having to tip a waiter if you ate there.
