Gen 3:5 . . God knows well that when you eat of [the tree of the
knowledge of good and evil] your eyes will be opened and you will be like
gods, who know good and evil.

Was the Serpent's prediction true? Yes; to a certain extent.

Gen 3:22 . .Then the Lord God said: See, the man has become like one of
us, knowing good and evil.

Apparently human life was created minus intuitive moral values; which is
likely the reason why some expositors refer to the time before the forbidden
fruit incident as the age of innocence.

FAQ: Did Adam know it was wrong to taste the forbidden fruit? And if so,
how did he know it was wrong without an intuitive sense of right and wrong?

A: Right and wrong were irrelevant in the beginning. Adam's early life was
governed by sovereign oversight. In other words: God's instructions served
as Adam's conscience, i.e. it wasn't incumbent upon him to make judgments.

Isa 48:17 . . I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is good and
leads you along the paths you should follow.

Ps 32:8-10 . . I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I
will counsel you and watch over you. Do not be like the horse or the mule,
which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit and bridle or
they will not come to you. Many are the woes of the wicked, but the LORD's
unfailing love surrounds the man who trusts in him.

FAQ: Was Adam's disobedience a Hell-worthy transgression?

A: No.

According to Gen 2:17 it was a death-worthy transgression rather than Hell
worthy. In other words; the proper penalty for Adam's mistake was simply
his loss of immortality. (cf. Gen 3:19 and Gen 3:22)

Eph 2:2-3 . . As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in
which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the
ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who
are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the
cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts. Like the
rest, we were by nature objects of wrath.

It's believed by a pretty large percentage of modern Christians that the so
called fallen nature spoken of in that Ephesians passage is inherited from
one's biological father. Oh? From whence did Eve get it?

She was constructed with material taken from Adam's body prior to the
forbidden fruit incident. Since himself tasted the fruit after Eve was born;
then it was impossible for Adam to pass the so-called fallen nature to her by
means of procreation.

The ruler of the kingdom of the air-- i.e. the spirit world --has the power of
death (Heb 2:14) and the ability to tamper with the human body and the
human mind in ways not easily detected; e.g. Luke 13:16, Mark 5:1-5, and
Eph 2:2.

I really have to hand it to the Serpent; he's very good at shifting blame
away from himself. For quite a few years now it's been traditional to believe
biological fathers propagate the fallen nature; when it's been the Serpent's
handiwork all along.

How he has managed to deceive so many people for so long a time I don't
know, but what's really ironic about it is that there are people behind pulpits,
and chairing whole Sunday school departments, working with him as a sort
of propaganda machine of unsuspecting accomplices.

FAQ: When does the Serpent go to work on people. . . in the womb or out of
the womb?

A: Adam and his wife demonstrate that that the ruler of the spirit world can
do his dirty work on adults, but I'm guessing that for most of us, the
tampering of our minds and bodies takes place in the womb. (Ps 51:5 &
58:3)

When Jesus told his opponents that they were the Devil's offspring (John
8:44) he wasn't just speaking in simile and/or metaphor; Jesus was
speaking very close to the fact of the matter.

"For you are the children of your father the Devil, and you love to do the evil
things he does."

There are Christians parroting that passage on and on, apparently oblivious
to the truth of Eph 2:2-3 that John 8:44 applies to the core of their own
natural being just the same as everybody else.

Gen 4:8 . . Cain talked with Abel his brother; and when they were in the
field, Cain set upon his brother Abel and killed him.

The Hebrew word translated "killed" means to smite with deadly intent, i.e.
murder.

The Bible's retribution for murder is capital punishment; and that comes out
very early in God's communications with Man at Gen 9:5-6. However; Adam
didn't have to prosecute Cain as required by that rule because it was
enacted ex post facto, viz: the laws of God are not retroactive. (Deut 5:2-4,
Rom 4:15, Rom 5:13, Gal 3;17)

Consider a Jewish man who has undergone circumcision the eighth day as
required, and successfully completed Bar Mitzvah. From that point on he is
obligated to comply with the covenant that Moses' people agreed upon with
God on oath per Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy.

Now supposing that same Jewish man begins to have second thoughts about
the covenant and thinks maybe he would like to try something else. Well; he is
not at liberty to just up and walk away from the covenant; no, not when he
is very likely indebted to it via one or more of the curses listed at Lev 26:14
39, Deut 27:15-26, and Deut 28:15-68. Those curses have to be satisfied
first before he can even surmise himself free to transfer his affections to
another religion. If that man would like; Christ can do it for him.

Isa 53:6 . .We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to
his own way; and The Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Continued from post No.105

So then, before a Jewish man can sever his commitment to the covenant
that Moses' people agreed upon with God on oath per Exodus, Leviticus,
Numbers, and Deuteronomy; he must first meet two prerequisites.

1» Pay his debts to the covenant, i.e. fulfill any and all curses that he
accrued in accord with Lev 26:14-39, Deut 27:15-26, and Deut 28:15-68.

2» Undergo death. (Rom 7:1)

Christ's crucifixion satisfies the curses. (Isa 53:5-6)

However: in this hypothetical case; the man seeking release from the
covenant is wanting to take up a new religion. How's he to that when he's
dead?

Well; I can't speak for other religions, but if our hypothetical Jewish man is
considering Christianity, then he's in luck because its lord and master has a
solution for problems exactly like his. In some mysterious way that I've yet
to fully understand; Christianity is fatal, viz: Christ's followers are reckoned
joined with him during his death on the cross.

Rom 6:3-11 . . Don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ
Jesus were baptized into his death? . . For we know that our old self was
crucified with him

Gal 2:20 . . I am crucified with Christ

Col 3:2-3 . . Set your affection on things above, not on things on the
earth. For you are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

FAQ: What's to be done about the man's new curses?

A: Christ's followers are placed under the auspices of a new covenant
wherein there are no curses for non compliance.

Jer 31:34 . . I will forgive their iniquity, and will remember their sin no
more.

Rom 6:7 . . He that is dead is freed from sin.

2Cor 5:19 . . God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself; not
counting their trespasses against them.

The Greek word translated "counting" is logizomai (log-id'-zom-ahee) which
means to take an inventory; i.e. an indictment.

John 5:24 . . I assure you: those who listen to my message, and believe in
God who sent me, have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their
sins, but they have already passed from death into life.

Gen 4:17 . .Then Cain's wife conceived and gave birth to a son, and they
named him Enoch. When Cain founded a city, he named it Enoch; after his
son.

The Hebrew word for this city is ambiguous. It can indicate a metropolis, an
encampment and/or a frontier settlement.

On the pages of Scripture, Mrs. Cain's clan had nothing good to say about
Abel's God; nor did they offer Him any presents, nor want Him in their
homes, nor care how He might feel about anything. The Bible doesn't record
even one single incident of Mrs. Cain's village blessing God for His goodness;
nor for His mercy, nor for His providence.

There is no record that any of them ever said one single prayer-- not even a
simple lay-me-down-to-sleep kind of prayer. Every one of the little kids in
Enochville went to bed each night without the slightest assurance that their
maker cared at all for the well being of their little souls.

Gen 39:6-20 tells the story of an immoral woman who destroyed the
reputation of an innocent man in order to cover up her own indiscretions.

I should point out something that goes without saying. Women are not a
protected species. When a bad girl like Potiphar's wife stands before God to
answer for the way she ruined Joseph's reputation, she will be punished just
as severely as if a man did it because there is no gender bias with God.

Rom 2:11 . . God does not show favoritism.

Eph 6:9 . . There is no favoritism with Him.

Col 3:25 . . Anyone who does wrong will be repaid for their wrong, and
there is no favoritism.

1Pet . .You call on a Father who judges each individual's work impartially,

Those verses tell me there will be just as many, if not more, women as men
thrown into the reservoir of brimstone depicted at Rev 20:11-15 because
women's gender won't be a mitigating factor when they face justice at the
Great White Throne event.

Judg 17:1-6 . . A man named Micah lived in the hill country of Ephraim.
One day he said to his mother: I heard you curse the thief who stole eleven
hundred pieces of silver from you. Well, here they are. I was the one who
took them. The Lord bless you for admitting it; his mother replied.

. . . He returned the money to her, and she said: I now dedicate these silver
coins to The Lord. In honor of my son, I will have an image carved and an
idol cast. So his mother took two hundred of the silver coins to a silversmith,
who made them into an image and an idol. And these were placed in Micah's
house.

Micah's mother (I'll call her Ophelia) broke the very first commandment of
the covenant that Moses' people agreed upon with God on oath per Exodus,
Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy by making statuettes to represent
God. (Ex 20:2-4)

The interesting thing about Ophelia's religious confusion is that Jehovah was
her God; but in the wrong way; viz: her religion was a mixture of truth and
error. The sad part is; Ophelia's mixed up religious beliefs didn't lead only
just herself into disfavor with The Lord, no, it led her offspring into disfavor
too.

Christians sometimes extol the mothers of the saints. Well let me tell you
something about mothers. They may mean well; but just because they are
mothers doesn't make them right. Ophelia is a timeless case in point.
Mothers are the best Judas Goats one can imagine. They can lead their
children to disaster with far more effectiveness than the demon world
because mothers have the advantage of trust. Kids are naturally inclined to
rely upon their parents, so they are easy victims of misinformation when the
source of that misinformation are moms and dads-- most especially moms.

You know what can be even worse than going to Hell? Your own children
following you there: and they trusted you. Can you just imagine the anguish
that mothers feel in the netherworld knowing they brought up their children
to follow an ideology whose pot at the end of the rainbow is filled with
brimstone instead of gold. How do mothers bear up under something like
that on their conscience?

Matt 10:39 . .Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life
for my sake will find it.

A major impediment for radical feminists becoming effective Christian
disciples is Jesus' gender. You see, at the heart of feminism, is the drive to
be independent of males. Yet the very lord and master of Christianity, the
supreme male in the universe; demands death to a woman's self interests,
and submission to his domineering control. Good luck on that one ladies.

Luke 14:26 . . If you want to be my follower you must love me more than
your own father and mother, wife and children brothers and sisters-- yes,
more than your own life. And you cannot be my disciple if you do take up
your own cross and follow me.

In Jesus' day, crosses were for executions. So when Jesus told his disciples
to "take up their own cross" it meant stifling their own way; viz: it was a call
to abandon self interests, and follow their Master's leading.

Rom 12:1-2 . .Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to
offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God-- this is your
spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this
world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be
able to test and approve what God's will is-- his good, pleasing and perfect
will.

The bitter irony of it all is that God has delegated the task of humanity's final
evaluation to His son; viz: in the end, it will be a male who casts condemned
radical feminist women into Hell and permanently ruins any chances they
might have had for happiness in the future. For all eternity, condemned
radical feminist women will grind their teeth with hot tears and white
knuckled fury that they ultimately lost out on everything because of one lone
male's obsessive control over their lives.

2Tim 3:1-3 . . This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall
come. For people shall be . . .without natural affection

The Greek word translated "without natural affection" is astorgos (as'-tor
gos) which means: hard-hearted towards kindred; viz: lacking in
sympathetic understanding i.e. unfeeling, pitiless, thoughtless, insensitive,
cruel, and inhumane.

There are actually kids growing up in homes right here in the USA where
their parents never give them even one atta-boy. As a result, they grow up
feeling ugly, unwanted, stupid, useless, marginal, expendable, and
unnecessary.

There are also kids growing up in homes where mothers never hug them nor
bother to take the time to forge a bond between mother and child. Thus they
grow up with reactive attachment disorder; feeling convinced that no one
could possibly ever love them or be their best friend forever. RAD kids grow
up to become adults with some serious trust issues.

Maybe you don't burn your kids with cigarettes, pour Tabasco sauce in their
eyes, or lock them in a hall closet without food and water for two days; but
do you ignore their opinions, demean them with denigrating labels, ridicule
them, threaten their lives, work them as slaves without compensation, deny
them things just so you won't appear to indulge them, and/or say "no" to
their requests for no good reason than that you don't want to seem weak
and under their control?

Do you routinely abuse their human rights, and/or relegate them to the level
of livestock rather than bona fide human beings with feelings and a mind of
their own? Do you nurture within them a feeling of importance, of belonging
in your home, or do you make them feel like an invasive species and/or an
uninvited guest? Kids pick up on things like that.

Rev 16:8-9 . .The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and the
sun was given power to scorch people with fire. They were seared by the
intense heat and they cursed the name of God, who had control over these
plagues, but they refused to repent and glorify Him.

Rev 16:10-11 . .The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the
beast, and his kingdom was plunged into darkness. Men gnawed their
tongues in agony and cursed the God of heaven because of their pains and
their sores, but they refused to repent of what they had done.

You know what's missing in those two scenarios? The element of fright is
missing. The recipients of those acts of God actually get angry and resentful
instead of scared.

Back in the sixth chapter, people panic and actually pray to be buried alive
rather than face the wrath of God. But apparently by the time of the
sixteenth chapter, they're over it. Well; no surprise there.

The first time I heard of Jesus' return I got nervous because, at the time, I
had a lot to answer for. But the nervousness soon passed, and I became
indignant because I don't like being made afraid; so I can sort of understand
the people's change of mood between the sixth chapter and the sixteenth.

NOTE: The people in the sixteenth chapter are accused of refusing to repent
and glorify God. What might that mean? Well; I suggest it means that the
sensible thing to do in a situation like theirs is to fully agree we deserve it;
like this:

"And I heard a voice from the altar saying: Yes, Lord God Almighty, your
punishments are true and just." (Rev 16:7)

Righteousness and Justification are spoken of together in Rom 5:18 the
same as they are in Rom 3:21-24. So then, if perchance someone is
fortunate to obtain the righteousness, then they will automatically obtain the
justification that goes along with it.

FYI: Righteousness pertains to innocence, and Justification pertains to
acquittal.

For example: former US President Donald Trump was charged with
insurrection. His accusers in the Senate failed to convict him, i.e. the
majority voted for his innocence and consequently he was acquitted.

This is what God has done for some of us; except that He has declared us all
guilty rather than innocent (Rom 3:23). However; via our faith in Jesus'
blood as an adequate propitiation for our sins, God granted us an
adjudication of innocence, and consequently an acquittal. It's all spelled out
in Rom 3:21-28.

The first prayer I prayed that made some sense contained the words below:

"God, I know I'm a sinner. I would like to take advantage of your son's
death"

My prayer wasn't much to brag about; but it was the smartest sixteen words
I'd ever spoken up to that time.

The way I figure it: seeing as how God is an intelligent, mature adult (so to
speak) who's never petty, nor capricious, nor biased, nor fickle, nor
impulsive, nor unreasonable, and takes no kind of sick pleasure in causing
people harm; then God must be just as stuck with Hell and can't make it go
away with any more ease than we can.

For reasons I have yet to even guess, Hell is unavoidable even for God
because it's the right thing to do; i.e. it has to be utilized for punishment in
order to satisfy a level of justice that our limited little minds may never be
able to fully grasp.

1John 4:10 . . .This is love: God loved us when we didn't love Him, and
sent His son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

There's two distinctly separate Greek words for love in that verse. The first is
an abstract noun covering every aspect of love: affectionate and non
affectionate

The second is a verb that speaks of benevolence sans any particular
affection and/or fondness. This is the manner of love we're required to
extend to everyone regardless of whether we like them or not.

In a nutshell, the love that God expressed in sending His son to die for
sinners was an act of gratuitous kindness, care, pity, courtesy, and
sympathy which should not be mistaken to indicate that He particularly likes
any of us. In point of fact, God most likely detests a pretty good number of
people; yet He's not indifferent to their safety because God is a neighborly
sort of person. (Matt 5:44-48)

The global death toll due to the Coronavirus as of 10/23/21 is in the
neighborhood of 4,955,909
.
That represents approximately .0636% of the world's recent population of
7,797,890,635 people, which is not even one percent; in point of fact, a
good deal less than one percent.

In the future, Heaven will cause the world to turn on itself in an apparent
attempt to self-destruct with weapons, disease, famine, and wild animals
that will cause fully 25% to perish; i.e. one fourth. (Rev 6:7)

If perchance the world's population in that day is the same as now, then
1,949,472,659 people will lose their lives before the calamity is over; in
other words: 1.95 billion. That's something like 893 times the number of
global Coronavirus deaths thus far.

Rev 8:7 . . The first angel sounded his trumpet, and there came hail and
fire mixed with blood, and it was hurled down upon the earth. A third of the
earth was burned up, a third of the trees were burned up, and all the green
grass was burned up.

Although that event is depicted as something completed already, it's actually
yet future. The apostle John wrote of something he was shown; like
describing a movie.

The Greek word translated "grass" includes not only lawns and pastures, but
also crops; particularly cereals, i.e. those farmed primarily for their grain;
e.g. corn, wheat, oats, rye, and rice; et al.

Apparently their destruction isn't beyond recovery because grasses show up
again in a later calamity. (Rev 9:4)

The purpose seems to be the destruction of one whole year's worth of global
harvest. That could be very bad for 3rd world folk who live hand to mouth,
viz: those whose very survival depends upon regular yields.

The cost of grain will already be in a state of inflation prior to the global
destruction of the grasses (Rev 6:6). The calamity described in Rev 8:7 will
surely drive up the cost of food even higher; possibly to the point where
quite a few people around the world won't be able to get enough to eat as
often as they'd like.

One third of all trees are slated for destruction too; which no doubt will
affect not only those used for lumber, but also fruit trees, e.g. fig, orange,
apple, apricot, prune, peach, cherry, banana, and olives etc; along with a
number of those that produce nuts.

In several incidents, Jesus is recorded speaking of the afterlife by means of
the Greek word háidēs (a.k.a. Hades) which was doubtless borrowed from
Hellenistic influences prevalent in that day.

Hades was believed to be a conscious afterlife where everybody went when
they died regardless of age, race, gender, or religious preference; which of
course implies that not only was the rich man of Luke 16:19-31 in Hades but
so were Abraham and Lazarus; even Jesus did some time there. (Matt 12:40
& Acts 2:25-31)

Hades is sometimes thought to speak of people's graves, but the correct
Greek word for grave in the New Testament isn't Hades, it's actually
mnemeion (mnay-mi' on), for example:

Matt 27:52-53 . . And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the
saints which slept arose, and came out of the graves after his resurrection,
and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

Matt 27:59-60 . . And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a
clean linen cloth, and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in
the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulcher, and
departed.

John 11:18 . . Then when Jesus came, he found that he had lain in the
grave four days already.

John 11:38 . . Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the
grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it.

John 12:17 . . The people therefore that was with him when he called
Lazarus out of his grave, and raised him from the dead, bare record.

Those are only a smattering of examples from the New Testament where
grave is properly translated from mnemeion. Bible committees that render
Hades as grave do so arbitrarily, i.e. by interpretation rather than by
translation. Caveat Lector.

HADES UPDATE: 115 days have elapsed since beginning the thread. If the
figures in post No.1 are in the ball park, then something like 7,176,000
arrivals have checked into the fiery sector of Hades since July 03, 2021
