So reading the bible and it says if you sin persistently than you are not born of God. I've been struggling with persistent and addictions my whole life if that's the case I am not saved and everything seems rather pointless now
Now that you know you are not saved, you do not need to stay there. So reading the bible and it says if you sin persistently than you are not born of God. I've been struggling with persistent and addictions my whole life if that's the case I am not saved and everything seems rather pointless now
I believe that persistent sin that is an addiction could be considered a disease that needs treatment of some sort. Fortunately, God understands the human condition quite well and takes these situations into consideration. The rest of your life is a struggle and that is true for all of us so please know that you're not alone in this. I will say a little prayer for you as it seems that you need a certain measure of comfort. The Holy Spirit will provide this. He is the 'helper' that Jesus spoke about years ago. The Holy Spirit will provide guidance also on how to best proceed with your treatment regimen. The fact that you are discussing this proves that things are not pointless, on the contrary, things will take on great meaning. So reading the bible and it says if you sin persistently than you are not born of God. Yes indeed I understand that. Another thing is my video game addiction too a lesser extent. I actively avoid games that make me stumble however I play too much. I'm taking a break today but came to the conclusion I have little else to do around here. My porn addiction is much worse obviously since I know it's all sin regardlessUnsaved people generally do not see themselves as sinners, or concern themselves with whether or not they are saved. Your awareness of sin is Holy Spirit inspired. Being led in such a manner will eventually yield fruit. How resistant are you to following guidance? All of us felt at times that we were regaining control, but such intervals -- usually brief -- were inevitably followed by still less control, which led in time to pitiful and incomprehensible demoralization. <-- That line is from what is known as the Big Book of AA. I realize your problem is not alcohol, and yet the feelings of powerlessness and inability to overcome are the same. Even Paul had a thorn in the flesh. Do you have a male Christian accountability partner? It may help![]()

I really wish it was all j7st some quick done and over impulse but sometimes it is and sometimes theres a bit of preplanning involved I feel im going to stumble and it gets the no turning back point than I avoid things that can snap me outta it (however if I see something that can it sometimes does snap me out of it.) Its like a Jekyll and Hyde thing and afterwards I have regret and anger at myselfGod is true though every man be false. This includes each of us, so we must rely on His constance and never look t our own failures otherwise no one would be saved. Be assured, our Lord, Jesus, has don all for each of us. Now the hard part at times is continueing in this faith. Do not worry, the Father has bien us all enough. You will be just fine. Look at Jesus, not at yourself. All love and blessing in Jesus..
