So how was man created in image made to resemble God.

Exo33:18, "Then Moses said, "Please, show me Your glory."

And God obliged him in Exo34:6, when He proclaimed His Name, the LORD and called out,

“The LORD, the LORD God,
is compassionate and gracious,
slow to anger,
abounding in loving devotion and faithfulness,

7maintaining loving devotion to a thousand generations,
forgiving iniquity, transgression, and sin.
Yet He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished;
He will visit the iniquity of the fathers
on their children and grandchildren
to the third and fourth generations.”

Bing co-pilot gathered these 13 attributes of God

  1. The 13 attributes of God, as described in Exodus 34:6-7, are:
    1. Compassionate - God shows mercy and compassion.
    2. Gracious - God is generous and gives freely.
    3. Slow to Anger - God is patient and does not rush to anger.
    4. Abounding in Love - God has an abundance of love for His creation.
    5. Faithfulness - God is reliable and keeps His promises.
    6. Maintaining Love - God maintains love to thousands.
    7. Forgiving - God forgives wickedness, rebellion, and sin.
    8. Bearing Iniquity - God bears the iniquities of His people.
    9. Transgression - God addresses transgressions with understanding.
    10. Sin - God acknowledges sin but offers redemption.
    11. Acquitting - God acquits those who repent and seek forgiveness.
    12. Kindness - God extends kindness to His creation.
    13. Justice - God is just in His dealings with humanity.
These attributes reflect God's nature and are seen as qualities that believers should strive to emulate in their lives.

Tell, me Chuckie, do you deny the divinity of Christ?
OK,I see your sweetness and light is a facade , when you turn to that type of sarcastic communication.

To answer your question in a manner your true personality can understand, it would be stupid to think someone who reiterates God's words on the matter,as I did, is denying the divinity of Christ.

Unless of course you love to stoke chaos and shatter peace. Oh! You do.

Because in the beginning was the word. And the word was with God and the word was God.

You'll need to pay attention to this part.
And the word became flesh and dwelt among us.

That you are not saying anything is exactly my point.
If you think BE makes some good points, please share them yourself.
My silence is me taking the higher road so to not encourage you and the purple one in your shameful aggressive graceless behaviors.

If you aren't going to read the links to BE's work so to learn about him, you've already proven you don't care to know.

You judge!
When you could learn something.

That's too bad.

Sweetness and light, huh? Who knew. Anyways, a simple yes or no would have sufficed, Chuckie.

Some remark on how Jesus chose lowly uneducated fishermen to be His closest compatriots and follows
and eventually to spread the gospel message... though we are also plainly told, God chose the foolish
things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.
Paul said his message and preaching were not with persuasive words of wisdom, but with a demonstration
of the Spirit’s power, so that faith would not rest on men’s wisdom, but on God’s power. Men swinging their
dips around should not impress anyone. Within Jesus' innermost circle were Peter and John - unschooled,
ordinary men. But now we have someone who may or may not be Christian recommending we follow the
teachings of an apostate atheist because he is highly educated and supposedly knows more than anybody
here, although how Chuckie knows such a thing seems really just a figment of their deceitful imagination.

My silence is me taking the higher road so to not encourage you and the purple one in your shameful aggressive graceless behaviors.
Is that what you call repeatedly bearing false witness? Hmmmm. The higher road has taken on a new meaning for Chuckie.

Perhaps your own shameful graceless aggressive behaviours escape your notice. They do not escape mine.

Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

For what partnership can righteousness have with wickedness? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness?

We see what it says when man was created..
Genesis 1:27
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

We see what Christ said to Philip when he asked to see God the Father..
John 14:9
Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?

So how was man created in image made to resemble God.

your question reminds of this

“What is man, that thou art mindful of him? And the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, And hast crowned him with glory and honour. Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; Thou hast put all things under his feet: All sheep and oxen, Yea, and the beasts of the field; The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, And whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas. O LORD our Lord, How excellent is thy name in all the earth!”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭8:4-9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Remember that in the Old Testament God made man in his image and likeness and they became sinful and were bound to death ?

In the nt later they teach from this psalm about Jesus the son of God

“But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? Or the son of man, that thou visitest him? Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; Thou crownedst him with glory and honour, And didst set him over the works of thy hands: Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.

But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, In the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee. And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me. Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭2:6-15, 17-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

In the nt he came in the likeness of man in order to redeem them from sin and death . Then he died and rose victorious without any sin of his own and was crowned with glory and honor in the heavens

See he made man in his image and likeness because he was creating children that’s what that means. And his full and true image and likeness is Jesus glorified!!

“who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: for by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: and he is before all things, and by him all things consist.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1:13, 15-17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The exciting part for us is as we become disciples of Jesus walking in faith we are conformed to his image by the spirit from glory to glory !!

But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We behold his glory in the gospel. What I’m saying is the children of God are those made in his image and likeness. And that’s why that phrase is applied throughout this part ….

Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people

That you are not saying anything is exactly my point.
If you think BE makes some good points, please share them yourself.

My point regarding the OP was that the word “image” seems to mean having God-consciousness or the capacity to communicate with God and to make moral choices (Gen. 1:26-31, Deut. 30:19). Because both sexes are made in God's image, the word must refer to God’s personality rather than to sexuality.

Again, the essential aspect of being a human rather than a robot or subhuman creature is God consciousness and moral conscience, which enables a person to experience love and meaning. This is what makes humans different from animals, whose behavior is governed mainly by instinct. All normal adult souls have awareness of “the requirements of the law” (Rom. 2:14-15), which may be perceived via creation (Rom. 1:20).

If you knew his credentials you wouldn't say he has nothing to teach us because you judge him as an atheist first.
You witnessed against him.

And yet he is still learned.
"Credentials"?
"Learned"?

Satan has better credentials and is far more learned then this self proclaimed atheist.

When you could learn something.

That's too bad.

Please cite my graceless behavior, because all I did was request you to post an example of BE's work that you like
so we could discuss it here and both learn something.

As a truthseeker, I always care to know, and when I learn something new I add it to our website,
from which I copy and paste to CC for discussion almost every day.

As for the purple one, we mostly ignore each other because of the reason you mentioned in #23.

"Credentials"?
"Learned"?

You give Satan praise for knowledge..
Not a good look.

Knowing nothing about BE so to credit Satan as superior in knowledge, isn't either.

I never said he (the apostate atheist) had nothing to teach, that was just one of Chuckie's many lies.

I'll take a pass on reading that too.
Yes, I am fairly certain a person's theology affects their world view, but for some reason that other person felt it appropriate to go off on me with repeated false accusations because I cautioned people against following an apostate atheist. How would anyone know that he knows more than anyone here? Oh well, I will just call it another one of their lies, because there is no way they can know such a thing. I don't know why supposed Christians behave the way they do. Now instead of repenting of their repeated lies they are acing like I am the initiator.

Actually, you are more of a peacekeeper, always the voice of reason.

That is very kind of you to say, though I know for a fact that you are more
of a peace keeper than I am, and always have a kind word for others...

The image of God is an innocent nature in flesh.

Which Jesus came in the image of God.

In the Old Testament Adam was made in the image of God.

The New Testament says Adam was made in the figure of Christ.

The image of God is the image of Christ.

God created Adam in the image that He would show in the future an innocent nature in flesh.

When Adam sinned he fell out of the image of God.

And no person was in the image of God until the man Christ Jesus was born.

And then all people led by the Spirit abstaining from sin which a Spirit led person will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh.

Which a person will not be led of the Spirit unless they are willing to give up sin and do good.

This, continued belief to the risen Son for me in Father saving me, has taught me to be no more independent on God. Now, daily 100% dependent on God only. The same as Son did when here on the earth in flesh and blood to reconcile us all to himself, only if one will decide to believe God Father in risen Son Jesus for them, not be independent as this world teaches people to be
I see to now be inner-dependent on God anyone else, thank you Father

1 John 3 v 8 The one who practices sin is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the very start. This is why the Son of God was revealed, to destroy the works of the devil.
