I ended up being a picky eater but not by choice. It’s pretty simple now that I’ve figured it out. Everything I eat are healthy Whole Foods or minimally processed foods with few ingredients. (Like freshly ground peanut butter or Daisy Cottage Cheese)
If I eat anything heavily processed, loaded with sugar, deep fried or drenched in fat, my stomach tells me. I think I’m getting a little better though. Before I started this journey of healing and growth, I was eating spaghettio’s, hot dogs and fast food, so I’ve come a long way.
The only stuff I won’t eat regardless of that are deep fried foods (hard taco shells, KFC/Popeyes, Fish Sticks, etc.) and bacon. I can feel my veins pulsing like sludge all over my body and my blood pressure go up when I eat them. No. Just no.
The foods I eat daily are chicken, salmon, eggs, fruits, veggies, cottage cheese, protein shakes for post-workouts, a thin layer of peanut butter on a slice of sprouted bread being my guilty pleasure. No sauces, few seasonings. It’s a boring diet, but it yields great results. Carrots are sweet to me now and bread tastes like cake. Though I’m not against eating out, I just don’t do it very often. I have no need to right now. Essentially, I’m going to be the husband and father that the family doesn't have to fight tooth and nail over eating a healthy diet.

Going to save a ton of money in medical bills, too.
Lastly, it doesn’t bother me much what other people eat. I will speak up if someone I care about chows down 3 boxes of cookies in three days. I might mention healthier alternatives like a bowl of frozen berries/fruits compared to a bowl of ice cream. But that’s about it.
