At your neighborhood park, basketball 🏀 ct or any ct, private coach squatter it for his private lessons, which there is a sign says that is not allowed.

So would you say something to that coach? Seeing there are kids on the side and waiting to play on that ct.

My town is actually unique. Most places in SoCal aren't as picturesque. My town has been listed in Money magazine as one of the best places to live in the US. I'd rather not say where it is though, in case anyone's curious.
Money magazine?
There is such a thing? I thought it was Fortune magazine.

Sounds like Montecito or maybe Monteray or some 'Mont' town. I'll respect your privacy though

Oh and my house and my neighbor's house have been broken into and I've had my car broken into twice (my former car and my current car), and someone tried to steal my relative's vehicle parked in front of our house. But this all happened over a span of many years. And there's also earthquakes, but we've only had a few and they're not as scary as the movies make them out to be. Well there was one that was.

I don't blame you. That's a mistake you don't need to make. I've seen remote Picturesque water falls turned into a beer bottle littered hang out for drunk people on ATVs.

We have a problem with those from large cities moving here, taking jobs, properties and the town councils love that money so cost of taxes and everything goes up.

Oh no it's nowhere as rich as Montecito or Monterey. I used to deliver pizza and part of our town is a place where gang members live. I was scared to deliver there at night. The pictures only show the nicest part of town. It was chosen because it has nice scenery and nice shopping centers and is not too far from the city or the beaches and crime is very low.

I see that you are blessed to be in a beautiful place as we are here in our own ways.

Did you ever get mugged or threatened when you delivered pizza?

There was one time the guy said he didn't have the money for it so I started to leave and he got angry and told me not to leave. He went back in the house and came out with the money, but he looked like a gangster so I was pretty scared.

Most people would have no idea that pizza delivery is a higher risk job than a lot of police depending on location.
Pizza delivery people get jumped and robbed a lot more than armed cops. Probably targeted because random strangers can call to a location and the drivers often carry cash.

I delivered pizza in school and a mob of hungry children would wait for me every lunch time.
They had to read 7 books to get one, and I made sure they'd read their 7 books.

Well to be honest, I didn't know about that part of our town until I started delivering pizza. It's actually the original town that was built in the 60s or 70s before all the newer homes were built. We do get strange crimes here once in awhile though. There was a shooting last month, but before that, the last shooting was about 10 years ago at one of the shopping centers and the shooters were from another area.

I know what that's like. I've been shot at a few times and not even in the city.
It's a dangerous world but the Lord has protected us all of these years.

Was it the wrong side of the tracks...eg the other side of the railroad.

Do towns in the US all have a Main street? The typical western town is one where the shoot outs happen. I don't know if that still happens a la cowboys with their guns/high noon duel but that is the stereotype.

The only other thing I hear about is either drive-by shootings or school shootings, and the KKK lynchings. I don't pay much attention to 'true crime' or read it like some people love to do.

Here its mostly people go missing, and the NZ death is more drowning then waving. Or car crashes with drunk drivers. Every holiday, a 'road toll' is announced, it's nothing to do with paying the cost of using the road, it is actually a death toll of the number of people who died on the roads in that particular period.

Mostly those are accidents, but almost all of them have 'alcohol as a factor'. DV is also a thing, which is why we have Women's Refuges.
