Oh!! That sounds good! But that means that I'd have to go buy celery again. Overpriced? Brown? Preposterous! We used to grow better celery than what is in the supermarket nowadays, lol. I look at it but aint wanted to buy any of it.

Raisins go good with anything. ;)

Celery over here is nice, green and fat. Its also quite cheap at 2.00-3.00 per package. I can't even make use out of all of it haha. I've started freezing it for when I make broth for soups. But it is very yummy.

Im sorry to hear about your unfortunate celery expiriences 🥲🥲

Velveeta cheese isn't bad (I think!) but it melts good in a microwave. So do those mexican canned cheeses. That's what I use for nachos and stuff. Shredded cheese for burritos.

That stuffs good for nachos and sometimes burritos, I use both cheese's for burritos, same for nachos. I learned it from taco bell 💀

What kind of cheese and how? Celery doesnt seem to me like it could hold cheese. At least not over here. Unless youre talking about the forbidden...easy cheese goop...

I don't like celery but try to eat it for the sake of health. Beh!!

I do find it more bearable with cream cheese, especially the chive kind.

I've also heard of ants 🐜 on a log being made with bananas 🍌 instead of celery. 😀

Ha HA. I was given a bunch of celery and thought 'Gee, spread a little PB and I'll be good to go" (been meaning to eat more celery)...
but then, last I checked, the celery was starting to go a little limp

I don't buy white bread (after all, the whiter the bread the quicker you're 😵) but seeing as how that is what I grew up with and have recently been craving all sorts of crazy things I grew up eating, I'm thinking I might just have to go buy some. I am suddenly in the mode for Skippy creamy peanut butter and Smuckers grape jam on wonder bread...
 I wonder, do they even still make wonder bread?

See what I mean about the celery? That's why I wont buy it. It has to be crisp. CRUNCH, every bite or it's no good.

Wonder bread is alive and well, but I havent bought wonder bread in a long time. I buy that $5 a loaf bread and freeze one and use one.

I bought a cast iron Dutch Oven for baking bread! I can't seem to get the hang of it. I didn't know there was secret to baking good bread. I can make skillet bread and bannock, stuff like that but bake a tada loaf of bread in the dutch oven. It never turns out right. I'm missing something!

I bake good cookies, and awesome cheesecake and pumpkin pie, nut not bread, sheesh. Anybody on here bake bread might have some tips on doing it right?

Celery and cream cheese sounds delightful! I would maybe even add some ham chunks or olives. The chive cream cheese though, sounds perfect as is

I've never heard of banana ants on a log! I'll have to try it sometime. Thank you:)

Bread is so hard :(( mine always ends up dry.

I make nann with egg, they end up chewy and soft. Maybe eggs are the key?

Eggs? I never put any eggs into any bread that I've made. I do have an electric bread machine and that works, just add the ingredients and turn it on. But they are such small loves! Geez. And besides, I should be able to male a big ol nice loaf of bread in that Dutch oven like those cowboys used to do 125 years ago! Over an open fire! But I have to whip it in the oven first before I try a campfire with coals on top and all that. Having the same cook ware as one would find on an old time Chuck-Wagon (camping gear) is a big benefit when under the stars!

I watch my wife make Jelly and custard filled glazed donuts ov an open camp fire before. That is easy! A pot full of hot oil and fry canned dinner biscuits in them after injecting Pudding, custard, Jelly, Preserves, whatever you want into them with a cheap pastry syringe. Easy Schmeezy, and very impressive. Sprinkle them with powdered sugar when you first take them out when their hot and the powdered sugar melts into a glazing, Yum Yum!

But no bread tonight dangit.

I currently have a jar of peanut butter, made from only peanuts and salt, mixed with raspberry jam, sitting in my fridge.

I had to add a little bit of water, because when you mix something else with peanut butter it turns to wallpaper paste.

Lettuce has a definite flavor and I don't think it would go well with peanut butter and jelly.

Peanut butter and jelly goes amazingly well on a pancake though. Or on Ritz crackers.

Never, ever store PB in fridge. It ruins the smooth texture.

Usually cheese log style cheese. Try one part cream cheese and one part cheddar, mashed together well.

Alternatively my homemade pimento cheese would go well on celery. Any strong flavored cheese, mayo and diced pimento, mashed well together.

Are you talking about Jif and skippy, or are you talking about 100% peanuts?

Mixing it with jelly ruins the texture anyway. Or at least it makes it different.

Celery is great in pot roasts and stew, but it ruins anything else.

I make my PB&J in three steps. I spread PB (at room temp) (any smooth variety) on one slice of bread, my jelly (room temp) on the other slice of bread, and then press the bread slices together. Sometimes I use Texas toast sliced bread and extra PB and jelly.

It's always smooth.

if someone were to genetically modify celery without the fiberous bits I would eat it a lot more.

My peanut butter of choice is creamy Jiff. My jellies / jams / preserves are Smucker's. Crusts are good too.

Oof. I was nodding my head enthusiastically to all of this...

Until you mentioned crusts.

Which everyone knows are of the devil. 👿😎

Did I read Smuckers jam somewhere?
Honestly, don't know how it's legal to put that much sugar in and still call it jam.
