I love fall too. It's my favorite time of the year. Hiking in the fall is great. November hikes are my favorite. Hayrides in the fall are great. My mother and I used to go on a hayride every fall out in the Osage. Fond memories. I also like pumpkin patches. I just like the way pumpkins look. I could live inside of fall.

Though I love this time of year, admittedly am not keen on pumpkin spice drinks. I have no problem with pumpkin spice season and all those that love pumpkiny drinks. I'm just not really big on sweet drinks. I'm probably considered fairly boring when it comes to drinks. Through the day I drink straight up black coffee and water. That's just what I prefer.
I wish I wasn't into sweets otherwise lol.

I like some pumpkin treats...pumpkin whoopie pies, pumpkin cake roll, and maybe some pumpkin candies depending on how they taste.

When it comes to pie though, I'm one of those people who greatly prefers sweet potato pie over pumpkin. I like pumpkin pie, but I won't bat an eye if given a choice...sweet potato is first choice for me when it comes between the two.
 
Weeeeeell now, there's a difference we gotta talk about here...

Are we talking REAL pumpkin spice? Like, allspice, cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon? That stuff, individually or all together, is wonderful and should be included in more things.

Or are we talking ARTIFICIAL pumpkin spice? That stuff is a witch's brew of chemicals that would get the SPCA and PETA both on your butt if you fed it to a dog... If the dog would even glance at it, that is. Anything commercial (not homemade) that is labeled "pumpkin spice" is likely to have stuff you can't even pronounce in it.

So it's important that you specify which kind you're talking about here.

Well, without reading the box (which is already long gone) I couldn't tell ya what's in it.
BUT I made 2 of those pies and had 4 different jello boxes (2 per pie).
The first 2 had 1 design on the box, the other 2 a different design.
Now it just so happens that I was in one of those moods where the sameness has to stay together.
I dumped the first 2 into a bowl, then the other 2 into another bowl and noticed that the coloring was slightly different between the 2 different pictures. Also noticed later after it set up a bit that while they both were pretty good, one was slightly better than the other.
Different manufacturing plant? Different date of production? šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø
IDK.

i hate most pumpkin spice products. They taste like corn syrup and chemicals. However I just had Baskin-Robbins Pumpkin Cheesecake ice cream, and it was pretty amazing!

so i just am stuck replying with my uber-logic.
 
I'm here to confess that I purchased a Little Debbie product. This wasn't so much about the pumpkin spice though, it's just that I can admittedly be a sucker for new products. Except I won't be trying the pumpkin spice M&Ms. I hear nothing but bad things about those things. Has anyone here tried those diabolical M&Ms? Anyway, I thought these Little Debbie pumpkin spice things were tasty with a cuppa black coffee :coffee:šŸŽƒ

I haven't tried the ones pictured above, but they remind me of Dunkin' Donuts pumpkin spice donut holes. :oops:

Jiminy Crickets, please don't let me loose around those things... I can eat a dozen in one sitting by myself. :eek: Unfortunately, we don't have Dunkin' where I live, but I do look forward to these Little Debbie cuties each fall:

I haven't had them in a while, but unless they've changed, they're a soft cookie with a scrumptious pumpkin filling.

Although... It does seem like there's a little less filling included every year, which is hauntingly tragic. :cry:

I remember my dad getting the Pumpkin Delights a long time ago. He offered me one and I wasn't keen back then. They were okay, but I guess I wanted something more cakey with fluffy filling. As I got older, I started to like them more than he did lol.

One of these days I'm going to try to make a homemade version. I have so many recipes. I need more than the great pumpkin amount of time for all of them šŸŽƒ

I made these soft pumpkin cookies from scratch that are tasty and I have ideas for turning them into Pumpkin Delights. Whenever it happens, I'll be sure to report the results and I'd definitely share if I lived nearby!

My taste buds and scale also have the same reactions lol.

I think cakes, cookies and donuts are a much better vehicle for pumpkin spice than coffee. You can put real ingredients [pumpkin, fresh spices] in them rather than artificially trying to recreate the flavor in a frankensyrup. But that's just me.

It's definitely seasonal for a reason; kinda like egg-nog. You're not supposed to abuse it.

I don't know if I would do pumpkin-spice Ramen; that might be taking it a little to far. I like my Ramen spicy... anywhere on the spectrum from a minor stimulating singe to a completely incapacitating spiciness that has me on death's door and seeing into the afterlife. Depends on what mood i'm in.

But, yeah; Coffee, creamer, ice-cream, candles... whatever, it's all good as long as you don't overdo it.
