I used to drink that Zevia root beer, quite yummy, but after a while? Too much flavor if that can be a thing LOL.

Now I like Safeway's Compliments' FIZZY key lime. Oh my so yum!!! And zero calorie as well. Sweetened with sucralose.

I tried Fresca for a time but could not handle the aspartame. My body would go into detox mode after two cans.

I am not much of a pop drinker. After my surgeries, I had a bottle of ginger ale in my fridge a for a few years LOL.

I would pop the top and take a swig every once in a while but then eventually threw it out.

The bottle of FIZZY I have in my fridge has been opened for a few months already. They are 1 litre bottles.

Safeway sells them four for five dollars.

Just curious.

I can certainly understand it.

I don't like alcohol on its own (if I'm going to have it, I prefer it in foods, like pasta sauce or desserts,) so if I went 25 years or the rest of my life without alcohol, it wouldn't be any big deal to me.

The diet Shasta root beer I'm becoming addicted to can only be found in 2-liters in my area (and only 2 stores have it -- and not on a regular basis.)

And if it's controversy you want... When I have had little sleep and must get through a w*rk shift, I occasionally get a cup and fill it with 1/3rd coffee and 2/3rd root beer. It makes coffee taste... not good, but at least not terrible anymore.

Yes, that's why I try to only have it once a week, and only a limited amount.

And if I can't find that kind of root beer, I don't have any at all, unless I'm sick and the fizz helps settle my stomach.

I think most everything is poison these days.

Some people like to drink alcohol, which I know some say has health benefits, but I've read about how it can be toxic as well (even if a person isn't an alcoholic.) But I don't like alcohol.

For me, my poison is a once-a-week diet pop instead.

Oh man, I WISH I liked those fizzy waters but haven't yet found one I liked...

They have too much of an aftertaste to me, like most diet pop.

About keeping fizz in it, all I know is it's a matter of air pressure. Like, the lower the pressure, the more fizz leaks out. Every time you open it and it goes psss, that's a little more fizz that will leak out until it gets back up to the pressure where it won't leak fizz any more.

Maybe a sealed lid connected to a bike air pump? That's the only way I know to quickly reestablish pressure after you get a drink.

My Dad had the only antique RC cola AND Cokacola machines in town. The coca-cola plant did special runs once per month or so in the old original 12 ounce bottles for the few collectors. Same with all the old formula RC brands. The men liked drinking those waiting for his hair cuts. His barbershop was pure vintage all the way.
 
Dr. Pepper , Cream Soda, Root Beer for Root Beer floats, and it's Soda Pop
