looking for help reconciling the Sabbath with common observation?

I am only to say this as a surface reading.
To understand deeper, it really need holy spirit guidance, and read Bible as a complete message.

1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.

2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

Seems pretty cut and dried that the sabbath is very important.

Yes, but if you note verse 3, "God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it"
it is a singular day.

there is no mention of week cycle until Moses time.
of course one can assume that weekly cycle, but there is no biblical evidence.

Actually, we all have the blood line of Noah and Noah was 10th from Adam.
After the flood, God established these commands and conditions with Noah in Genesis 9:1–17:

1. Multiply and repopulate the earth
   Noah and his descendants were told to have children and fill the earth.
2. Animals would fear humans
   Every animal, bird, and fish would be under human authority.
3. Permission to eat animals
   Humans could eat animals for food, just as they had previously eaten plants.
4. Do not eat blood
   They were specifically forbidden to eat meat with its blood still in it, because blood represents life.
5. Human life must be respected
   Whoever killed another human would be held accountable, because people were made in the image of God.
6. God would never again destroy the earth by a worldwide flood
   The rainbow was established as the sign of this covenant.

Just that 7th day, one single day.

Just like we remember 2021 9, 11, that one single day.
