This is a classic distortion of the Word of Yahweh.
When Yeshua made this declaration, it was in direct reference to doing good on the Sabbath (the disciples were gleaning wheat for they were ahungered), NOT teaching man can ever change the order of creation and the day given by our Father as a gift of rest on the Seventh Day.
God forbid His Word be changed by any flesh or any demonic theology. It is demonic to believe one may alter in any manner the Word that is Jesus Christ.
actually if you read it, Jesus was meaning that external practices should give way for moral righteousness. That's why I posted the scripture quoted and then from that exact passage. He desires compassion over a external ordinance.
You may speak for Yeshua if you like.
It is good that you agree with my post in part. However what our Father has declared may not be destroyed by destroyers. Of course mercy is always first, grace and love; they go together.
Therefore, if we love the Father, we do not label His declaration of the order of creation, and His gift to us all, that is a day of rest from our mundane labors to be with Him, a lie, or in error.
The seventh day will always follow the sixth. It is a diabolical lie to say that order is changed by flesh.
It is so easy to get reactions when one speaks truth. Please do not hate others for doing so.
"I desire compassion, and not a sacrifice"
I don't think the priesthood being changed says the law is done away with. When it is replaced by Christ's law, we must look to Christ to find out what that law is. There are lots of verses explaining that, surely everyone here has read them. Written law is to remain, but we are not only to do it but we are to discipline our minds according to law, too. Don't murder, for instance, is advanced to include not calling someone a fool.[=Stephen63;1411726]Hebrews 7:12 (NASB) [SUP]12 [/SUP]For when the priesthood is changed, of necessity there takes place a change of law also.
Hebrews 7:12 (NLT) [SUP]12 [/SUP]And if the priesthood is changed, the law must also be changed to permit it.
The Sabbath was made for us, to help us achieve the blessings that go with honoring this day. It was not made for us to handle any way our carnal selves decide we would like to do with it, we still belong to Christ. The Sabbath will always be the Sabbath on this earth as a day in the week. But for the OP and many others to claim that the external obedience is crucial to one's relationship with God, has made up in their minds that mankind was made for the Sabbath. When the Lord even said that is actually made for us.

Even in the earthly world, if a father gives something wonderful just for a child for his pleasure and good, it would not be given to him so he could misuse or destroy it.
Our Messiah Yahsuah has said" He desires" This is our Master speaking! How much He longs for us to follow Him, stop calling our Father's Law bad! It's man's law that is bad. Thank you Father for your mercy..The Sabbath will always be the Sabbath on this earth as a day in the week. This not only is quoted from the OT, but also by Jesus Himself when the Pharisees nagged on His disciples for picking grain on the Sabbath. He desires righteousness over external practices, this explains that the Sabbath isn't a moral command, rather a beneficial one for moral conduct. Especially for Israel who always forgot the Lord and His deeds when they were greatly provided and fattened in the land. We as Christians have every liberty to choose any day to rest, but it has nothing to do with changing the Sabbath.

This is copy and paste, but says it better than I could:
The Pharisees did not understand Hosea 6:6 rightly for the same reason that they did not understand the Law rightly. Jesus accused them, through the Hosea quotation, of the most extreme hypocrisy, adherence to form while omitting the substance, feigning allegiance to the Lord while practicing idolatry in their hearts. Numerous times, Israel had been told the secret of their relationship to God: “the Lord will circumcise thine heart,” (Deut. 30:6) and “Rend your heart, not your garments,” (Joel 2:13) etc. Moreover, Hosea was not the only one to record the Lord’s displeasure with outward form without inward substance. There is Isaiah,“Stop bringing meaningless offerings!
Your incense is detestable to me.
New Moons, Sabbaths and convocations—
I cannot bear your evil assemblies.
Your New Moon festivals and your appointed feasts
my soul hates…” — Isaiah 1:13,14 (NIV)
You may not know what day it is (it is Sunday today), but you sure know how to contort what has been stated...........bye.
But you see, redtent somehow I see you in the edge between this. Yes as we both agree that the Sabbath was made for us, and its beneficial right? Why would such a command accuse a believer for benefiting it on another day? Either way they are both helpful as God intended right?
But then this is where we cut off ends. You believe it must only be on the Sabbath. This statement is a contradiction to the one above. Your making sound like we are made for the Sabbath, so it must be on this specific day. I don't know how I can break that down redtent.
Jesus is the Lord, He has every right to change the whole covenant of the old and make it new. That's when He speaks as the "Lord of the Sabbath."
Jesus gave us examples of those who break it for the better of good, because it's not really broken...you see?
Nothing I said contradicts the commentary that you pasted, it actually backs my statement up. You see, the Pharisees may have gotten the whole "rest on the Sabbath" thing going. But their hearts were far from God. So whether they kept it or not, they still disobeyed God. That's religion. Practicing the external over the moral. I never said that the laws are bad either. Rather, God's law isn't external because He isn't external. His laws are righteous and spiritual, because He is righteous and is spirit. This means that all external commandments are puppeted by moral goodness. Otherwise you have a dead dummy doing external things thinking they are above everything else.
The point here is not agreeing with other flesh, the point is believing what our Father has told us.
Jesus Christ never changed the order of creation, not did he give me or you the right to say it otherwise.
Either you believe the Bible with understanding, or you are just acting like a believer.
No one is on the edge or between regarding the Word. He either believes it, or he makes himself an editor of God's Word, and this is not to be done.
Leave the Word as it is presented by Him.
Jesus did not obliterate any law, to say otherwise is not believing Him.
The Pharisees got the Sabbath thing going? R U kidding?
Tit 3:9 But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.
Perhaps because one of the main reasons that the day was changed was that it was done by ex pagans who were used to worshipping pagan idols on Sunday. They used the excuse that it was discovered that Christ rose on the day of the Sun so we should worship that day. They were excellent at Christianizing pagan holidays, just changing the Gods they worshipped.
This is objectivity concerning those Jews that followed Christ. Why was it so difficult and such a hard saying for them to keep what Christ commands them to do by eating his flesh and drinking his blood? To do so is eternal life and they would not do it. These Jews were pricked in their ears with this new doctrine because Christ spoke as one who had authority and not as the Scribes and Pharisees. Is keeping the Sabbath a prerequisite for eternal life or have anything to do with keeping righteousness? If I do not keep the Sabbath as was prescribed under the law of Moses is that a transgression of the law and unrighteousness with God? If you believe in keeping the Sabbath as prescribed under the law, where it was given, your answer must be YES or you would be unfaithful in teaching others to keep the commandments and to not break them. JaumeJ can answer also if he would like, but he has written me and some others off already and that his own doing. Show me what the NT church is prescribed under the new covenant as to the Sabbath and as to the rest that God has given to those who have been redeemed under grace through the blood of Christ. You are judging the keeping of the Sabbath as a way of not keeping the Sabbath as Christ told us to do. That doesn't make sense. Do you think that denial of Sabbath is a way to teach the proper way to keep it? I don't think that is good reasoning.
Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.
For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.
Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.
Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth.
Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand
(Romans 14:1-4)
That has nothing to do with the Sabbath of the Lord. It is talking about food.
