Phoneman was a satanic?
He was quite legalistic with his Sabbatarian 7th day adventist views... so he ragged on people a lot about not keeping the Sabbath, and claimed he was not judging WHY people believed something, because to judge or assign motive to beliefs was evil/anti Christ/Satanic... I forget the exact word he used, but the message was clear... and then he would turn around and say people believed OSAS specifically so they could sin all they wanted, ... now that is judging motive if ever I saw it. So him outing himself was inadvertent, but people in error cannot help but contradict themselves.

salvation can not be lost. as it can not be earned

sour 16 (whatever this is) does not disprove this biblical fact.
"Whatever this is" is in reply # 154,044, but here it is again. I hope you will read it this time.

The sour 16:

MT 10:22, “All men will hate you because of me, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.”

RM 11:22, “Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off.”

1CR 15:2, “By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.”

GL 5:4, “You who are trying to be justified by law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace.”

CL 1:22-23, “But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation—if you continue in your faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope held out in the gospel.”

2THS 1:4-5, “Therefore, among God’s churches we boast about your perseverance and faith in all the persecutions and trials you are enduring. All this is evidence that God’s judgment is right, and as a result you will be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are suffering.”

2TM 2:12, “If we endure, we will also reign with him. If we disown him, he will also disown us;”

HB 3:6&14, “But Christ is faithful as a son over God’s house. And we are his house, if we hold on to our courage and the hope of which we boast… We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly till the end the confidence we had at first.”

HB 6:4-6, “It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age, if they fall away, to be brought back to repentance, because to their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace.”

HB 10:26-36, “If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God… So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.”

JM 1:12, “Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.”

2PT 1:10-11, “Therefore, my brothers, be all the more eager to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never fall, and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”

2PT 2:20, “If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning.”

1JN 2:24-25, “See that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. And this is what he promised us—even eternal life.”

JUDE 21, “Keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.”

RV 2:10, “Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life.”

Most of the time I have no idea what he says with all these abbreviations?
I did ask for him not to do it and he refused.
I don't bother reading what he says any more as I feel for non Christians and Christians who have no idea either.
In response to your request, I posted the abbreviations on my "About" profile.

Hmm, "initial salvation"
I have not read those words in the Gospel of John. He seems quite clear.
Saved is saved.
Rom 8:23 and not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.
Rom 8:24 For in this hope we were saved (ἐσώθημεν, esOthEmen, aorist passive indicative). Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees?
There was a time we were saved.

1Co 1:18 For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
2Co 2:15 For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved (ἐν τοῖς σῳζομένοις, en tois sOzomenois, present passive participle) and among those who are perishing,
There are people who in the process of being saved.

Mat 10:22 and you will be hated by all for my name's sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved (σωθήσεται, sOthEsetai, future passive indicative.)
Mat 10:22 and you will be hated by all for my name's sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved (σωθήσεται, sOthEsetai, future passive indicative.)
1Ti 2:15 Yet woman will be saved (σωθήσεται, sOthEsetai, future passive indicative.) through bearing children, if she continues in faith and love and holiness, with modesty.
1Co 3:15 If any man's work (building on the foundation of Christ) is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved (σωθήσεται, sOthEsetai, future passive indicative.), but only as through fire.
There is a future salvation that we may or may not endure to receive.

Rom 10:9 because, if you confess/ed (aorist active subjunctive) with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe/d (aorist active subjunctive) in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved (future active indicative).
The aorist here is gnomic, stating a general fact like "If the water boils/ed at 100 degrees C, you will know there is one atmosphere of air pressure." We can deduce this is gnomic because the next verse uses the present active indicative, when it says -

Rom 10:10 For a man is believing/keeps on believing (πιστεύεται, pisteuetai, present active indicative) with his heart into justification/righteousness (εἰς δικαιοσύνην, eis dikaiosunEn), and he is confessing/keeps on confessing (ὁμολογεῖται), homologeitai, present active indicative) with his lips into salvation (εἰς σωτηρίαν, eis sOtErian).

Those who persevere in confessing and believing keep on being justifies and saved. The tenses used in the Received Greek Text do not allow me to presume that a person who was saved at some point in time by believing and confessing will be always saved perpetually into the future. I don't need an assurance of perpetual salvation to make following Jesus worthwhile. Knowing Him now is sufficient reward and motivation. And I know that when I slip up, His mercy endures forever, and He is the same yesterday, today and into the ages.

there is no initial salvation..thats a legalistic way of looki9nn gat thing.

hence there is no question to ask

once again, if I am not saved today, i was never saved.

stop listening to false teachers. They have led you astray
You are free to believe that, even if you can't demonstrate that the scripture say that. I don't need to believe that to make following the Lord Jesus Christ worthwhile.

No problem. I find them quite useful and only a few are unusual, such as POS, KOTH, PP &
GRFS, which I use most often, almost daily.
I'm not great at remembering them.

I remember once when one of my kids text me that they got an A in maths.
I replied with WTF.
Apparently it doesn't mean "Well that's fantastic"

Well, perhaps both opinions regarding the one gospel can be partly right and even more right/one when rightly harmonized.
Gal 1: 6 I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different (Heteron - Another one of two) gospel, 7 which is not another (Allo - another, one besides, another kind) ; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert (Metastrepsai - to change, to alter, to distort) the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.

Paul is quite clear here.

there is one gospel. if anyone tries to change, alter or distort the gospel. it is not a different gospel (both are not salvic and both are ok) and anyone who teaches this perverted gospel is to be accursed.

change one word. you have perverted the gospel and made it into a new gospel. this is what Satan does.

there is no such things as my gospel and your gospel and lets all be friends we will both get to heaven

there is Gods gospel.

reject that by denying it, or changin git. and you will be lost forever
