You haven’t understood a thing I said about contracts. There’s nothing more I can say. Some worship the Ten Commandments… not the old contract that they were adjoined to… but they take out 10 clauses because God thundered them from Sinai and hold them up as this eternal writ that was created before Adam.

Why did God spake those ten that all may hear ?

Why did he write them twice for himself when they broken by Moses ?

From my Hebrew lesson this morning, reading in Isaiah, the Lord speaks of His Salvation and of those who join themselves to Israel. It also talks of keeping His Sabbath. These are our Lord's words, not the teachings of men. They are spirit, and not flesh. I hope and pray this reaches all the family, and that it blesses each greatly, amen.



Isa 56:1
Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.

Isa 56:2
Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.

Isa 56:3
Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.

Isa 56:4
For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;

Isa 56:5
Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.

Isa 56:6

Yes… "all flesh"… Now since we know, or should know, that “flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God” (1 Cor.15: 50) then this must be a time when flesh lives on the earth. My opinion is that this is just after Christ’s return during the 1,000-year reign. I believe that there will come a time when there will be no more flesh so I have to look at that scripture based on that belief. Now the New Covenant is not between God and flesh but between God and His children who are the “elect” and they are not of flesh but of the Spirit. They, the children of God, the “elect” are not subject to the physical ordinances within God's footstool because they dwell above those ordnances within the Holy of Holies before the very throne of God in heaven, in the King’s chamber from where laws, decrees and ordnances emanate, where there are no sunsets and sunrises and full moons and new moons or weekly cycles.

Now at the commencement of the 1,000 year reign, after Christ’s return and the elect are changed into spirit to appear like Him and are glorified as He is and are crowned as kings and fellow rulers with Christ, those flesh who are left of the nations after His coming, the meek of the earth, those that “shall go forth and look upon the corpses of the men who have transgressed against [God]” will never be able to be at the same level as the "elect" because these elect (who at this time will be spirit) were called out of darkness prior to Christ’s return. After Christ’s return the darkness will be removed so those who live during the 1,000 year reign will not have to go through what the elect had to go through prior to Christ’s return when Satan ruled the world. The earth at the time after Christ’s return will be ruled by God and His elect.... from where law emanates... so all flesh that come to God during this time will go to a place before God to worship.... not as the "elect" previously did who came before their Father to worship Him in Spirit during Satan's rule. There is a strong indication by the scripture that "all flesh" who worship at this time will take part in old covenant observances:

“everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, on them there will be no rain.” Zechariah 14: 16-17

It was the above scripture that convinced me at one time to keep the Feast of Tabernacles, which I observed for 13 years along with many other Old Testament observances. Back then I didn’t understand the utter supremacy of the calling under the New Covenant. And I believe few understand its supremacy today because people either go back to mix in the old covenant with the New Covenant and still practice sinning (like I used to do) and use the New Covenant as a sort of eternal life insurance policy that assures them of eternal life in the future while they freely continue in sin in the present, or they exclusively observe the New Covenant for the same purpose.

Jesus has FLESH AND BONES so will we no where in the bible says we shall be spirits but have a spiritual body no blood but flesh and bones

The current image of the heavenly Man Jesus:

“One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band. His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire; His feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, and His voice as the sound of many waters;”

The above is not flesh

“Jesus answered and said to them, “You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God. For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels of God in heaven.”

Angels are composed of spirit

Flesh and bone is dust... Jesus nor those who are resurrected at His coming are dust

Sounds like a work of law rather than spiritual rest.

There is a real difference between doing a work to be religious and striving against temptation.

The word says strive to enter in (a doing command) and then faith without works is dead.

So when I strive not to lust by looking at a man the wrong way is this a work (sure, I'm striving)
how about when I strive not to make something an idol like sports, or shopping? Is this a work (sure I'm striving)
and then how about entering into Sabbath rest and striving to do so, is this a work? (sure, I'm striving)

I would say striving and fighting against temptation is not a work of the Law but a work of faith.

Luke 13:24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

Save yourself from this untoward generation.

I think this is the core of your misunderstanding of the law. You are taking this entire letter out of context. It was written to people who were not understanding Christ. I think you do understand Christ. If you didn't know that Christ and the forgiveness Christ offers is the key to your eternal life with God, you would need to hear all of these things. You have learned these things, it is done.

If you would read further in the chapter, even, it would explain to you.

Now, there is additional learning that you are standing firm against accepting. It is important to you and your eternal life that you add these things to your learning. It is this. You cannot live with God and sin at the same time. You cannot be sinless, so you need Christ, but neither can you have the attitude toward it that you express. Scripture after scripture tells you so, use your concordance and look them up. You say you reject all God tells you, especially if God says it through Moses. Well, fine, stand firm against Moses if you insist. There are plenty of other scriptures telling you not to turn your nose up to God's law.

Leviticus 25

The Lord said to Moses at Mount Sinai,2 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘When you enter the land I am going to give you, the land itself must observe a sabbath to the Lord.3 For six years sow your fields, and for six years prune your vineyards and gather their crops.4 But in the seventh year the land is to have a year of sabbath rest, a sabbath to the Lord. Do not sow your fields or prune your vineyards.5 Do not reap what grows of itself or harvest the grapes of your untended vines. The land is to have a year of rest.6 Whatever the land yields during the sabbath yearwill be food for you—for yourself, your male and female servants, and the hired worker and temporary resident who live among you,7 as well as for your livestock and the wild animals in your land. Whatever the land produces may be eaten

Leviticus 23:32

It is a day of sabbath rest (Not Friday night to Saturday Night) for you, and you must deny yourselves. From the evening of the ninth day of the month until the following evening you are to observe your sabbath."

I would suggest that if it is so simple then I am sure you are keeping these Sabbath laws which were clearly established by Moses as well.

Are you keeping them or not? If not then by your own definition, you are a sinner as a Sabbath breaker. Now I can imagine that your next move here will be to say that the above mentioned Sabbaths don't apply. To that I will ask where is this stated in the New Testament.

Make sure that you keep these Sabbaths as you feel they will some how keep you right with God.

It is obvious that you didn't read my post clearly. I asked: Is there a sabbath (the one in the 10 commandments) other than the seventh day?
To rephrase my question: Does the Sabbath in the 10 commandments refer to any day other than the seventh day?
Referring to the Sabbath year in Lev 25 - I would observe if I were in farming industry but I'm not. However, many pastors take Sabbath year off while getting paid using Lev 25 to support but failed to observe the seventh day. Ever wonder why?
Referring to the day of atonement - I do observe. Thankyou very much for reminding.
About breaking the Sabbath law, or any law for that matter - there's a rather big difference between knowing the law but denying it's authority and knowing the law but failing to observe 100%. There's no hope for the former.
