Oh dear. I hope you don't really believe what you wrote. I'm not an anti-fast-food person, I eat greasy fast food everyday and love it (usually) but if you really believe what you wrote, you can be headed for some serious (and very preventable) health problems in the future.
I certainly do, and I think most dietary scares is utter rubbish by people creating an excuse to politicize food. All this nonsense about diet composition and so forth is just vomited forth when it is well known that the actual science of cellular construction and nutritional absorption is nowhere near advanced enough to possibly justify their unending and contradictory 'food facts'.

The entire 'food pyramid' is a laughingstock which exists solely as free advertising for the Agribusiness Lobby, and the same is true of all this GMO/Transfat scare mongering.

And don't even get me started on the idiotic mythology that laymen believe because of some poorly-worded technically asinine puff piece they read in a newspaper.

Basically, almost everything that most people believe is wrong; and if it is right it is usually for the wrong reasons. So I have little faith in our modern pseudo-scientific life charts. Astrology repackaged for people too lazy to read star charts.

So you don't believe that a diet high in saturated fats and sodium can lead to high blood pressure, hardening of the arteries and diabetes? Those concepts are rooted in many years of medical science where they dissect and study humans to see what makes them sick or what killed them (but you probably already knew about that). If you're saying all that is hogwash, then I'm really curious to know what it is that makes you think its all hogwash.

Why do you measure a man on how well he treats his mom, and then get upset if he gives his mom high priority once you're in relationship with him, and/or call him a momma's boy if he is close to said mom?
It's one thing if a man treats his mom with love and respect. After all, she did supposedly take care of him for most of his life. However, when a man puts his mom before his wife, then that's not cool. However, if we are talking about just dating someone, and your not in a serious relationship, your mom may need to come first.

When girls asks questions like - How do I look? Or... do you think I look beautiful.. Do you want an honest answer?

It depends on how I word it. If I say say something like, "Does this make me look fat?" or "Do I look beautiful?" Then your answer had better be that you look gorgeous. Basically, for questions like these, women want reassurance. However, if I'm asking, "Does this look good on me?" then chances are, I want the truth. But, don't worry, more then likely, I'll ask that question to women, not men.

I'll keep my thoughts to myself for now BUT... I'm curious as to what other people think.

Ugh, really? That's my thoughts.

They might be bad for people who have pre-existing conditions. But, as many medical doctors have said, people without these conditions probably don't need to worry.

I think the same is true of cancer. 99% genetic. Every once in a while someone gets zapped with free neutrons, and people disposed to it increase their risks by smoking, but there is nothing anyone has ever shown to 'cause cancer'. Stray microwave rays don't magically rebuild cells to instill immortality - from an engineering and information perspective alone it's ludicrous. It's just scare mongering, and they know the plebs will believe anything they're told.

On top of that, tolerance and absorption for chemicals (i.e., food) varies greatly among individuals and populations; so all of these number-crunchers are just throwing out more star charts.

However, I'm not interested in what or why you do or do not eat anything, and find self-proclaimed nutritional experts annoying, so I'll just declare this terminated.

Whew. I'm really glad you're thinking isn't quite as radical as I thought it was. :) Now I can go celebrate with a nice juicy burger! :)

I was really hoping to push your buttons (^_^)

Consider them pushed. lol

Nah, I'm not uber defensive about it or anything, it's just kinda sad when people don't care about what they put into their body.

and p.s.

*CRASH* *BOOM* *BANG*

That was a SERIOUS thread derailment. hahaha

Um, to RE-rail the thread....

This question isn't a question for women in general but rather women here in the forum. I dress for my lifestyle. I wear clothes and shoes that I know I can run in if I need to that I can work on people's stuff if I need to and that I can be comfortable in regardless of the change in temperature in the weather.

What is the main reason you ladies dress the way that you do?

What do you wear to support your reason?

Modesty, practicality, and decoration.
What do I wear? Long skirts and a blouse, typically; if I am working out/working then jeans and a tshirt.

I dress for functionality. When I'm not working, I'm usually in jeans or sports apparel, as I do a lot of yard work, play with my dog and run often. On days I teach dance class, I'm usually in dance apparel. When I'm working, I'm usually in a suit (pants) because I never know whether I'll be traveling/in a mediation/at court/meeting with clients, and the pants hide my ankle holster. :) On dates, I like something girlie. I really CAN be girlie sometimes. ;)

I wear whatever i feel like wearing at the moment, which is usually jeans always flip flops and a shirt. At home its always some kinda nike or adidas pants and a sweat shirt. If i go on a date... jeans always flip flops and a shirt. Im just real fancy like that.

Why do women not specify details when referring to something? Eg. They might say, "put that over there" and wave their hand in some general direction, instead of saying, "put that jug over by the sink" etc.

Why do so many women get snarky when you open the door to a building for them or offer your seat to them on a bus?

Why can women complain about all men to their girlfriends and go on a tirade about hating them but men can't respectfully complain (not the right word, I know) about women without being labelled a misogynist?

:S what women have YOU been hanging around? lol

As far as i'm concerned:
1. details make the world go 'round. if you want something specific done, you'd better be specific about it.

2. go ahead and open the door for me. less work for me. However if i get there first and open the door for YOU, just accept it as a friendly gesture and not an attack on your manhood....i've heard THAT one before...hehe

3. I don't hate men and i wish people wouldn't generalize and go on about things they ''hate'' about an entire group of people, be it based on gender, race, age, musical preferences (NKOTB...i still secretly love you...) or what have you
