We appreciate your service, @tourist. 🙏🏼

Other times when we've had people posting antagonizing things all over the forum, it eventually came out that they were posting while drunk and/or high.

One guy was writing all kinds of spiritual-sounding things -- and then admitted to doing so while smoking crystal meth.

Of course, drugs and alcohol aren't always the reason, but it makes one wonder.

I tend to answer some of these types of posts, just to try to see what the person is really about.

After that, I just report the most possibly questionable remarks and leave it up to the mods, as it's up to their discretion as to what stays or goes.

Sorry for the ramble.

My apologies to @Jacobfaith for just thinking out loud and making posts that aren't answering the original question.

are you a born again Christian? that's where to start if you are not. millions have gone thru & are currently going thru your suffering. i know well when the suffering has reached its maximum point. the breakdown point, that's where the devil wants you! James 4:6 & 7- "but He giveth more grace, wherefore He says, "God resisteth the proud but giveth grace to the humble", "submit yourselves to God, resist the devil & he will flee from you"! Jesus feels your pain & He's open 24 hours a day to assist. he has all the answers. Hebrews 13:5- "let your conversation be without covetousness, be ye content with such things as you have, for he saith, i will never leave thee nor forsake thee"! i know just about anyone can post what you should do but we all here on CC are with you & hope for a solution soon. you may find it strange but even with my wife & i popular around here we have few friends because so many people are not on God's side. they want to stay out late & party. when we were drinking alcohol & socializing around, everyone was our friend. they aren't true friends who you can call for help. & to find a quality teaching preaching pastor around here, forget it!!! i will pray for you. blessings to you.

I've been a born again Christian since I was 20 years old so... roughly 13 years.
I do speak to God but God doesn't speak back to me, and that's Ok, even though I wish he would say something back, but I do believe he listens to my prayers, I've gotten what I have asked for before.

Just lately I've been fighting to not change into a different person who is completely jaded.

I'm truly sorry for what you're going through, Jacob.

I listen to a lot of social commentary channels, including Shoe On Head (from the video you posted,) and other by young men (Real Life Fake Wizard, Casey Simpson.) who talk about the bleak outlook for young people, particularly men, in today's world. I especially like Casey Simpson because I think he really tries to be fair to both genders in his commentary.

My best friend's college-age son called me last week because he feels a lot of the discouragement that you're expressing here. And he's doing all the right things that society tells him to do.

I was praying on the phone for something uplifting to tell him. I'm "middle-aged" and couldn't come close to buying a house in my area (the median house price is half a million dollars, unless you want a homeless shanty on your front lawn) -- I can't imagine what the kind of pressure must feel like for 20 and 30-somethings.

All I could think of to tell him was the story of when Jacob (the father of the 12 tribes of Israel) worked for his uncle Laban -- who was constantly changing his wages (in the form of which markings the sheep had to be born with as his payment.) But every time Laban changed the conditions, the sheep had lambs that had the marking agreed to be Jacob's wages. God made sure Jacob was paid, no matter how unfair Laban tried to be.

We also talked about how, during the 10 Plagues on Egypt, there were some God chose to save His people from. The Egyptians suffered from a great darkness for 3 days that was so severe, no one could go anywhere -- but the Israelites had light in all of their camps.

As a modern-day example, I had a friend who worked at a factory that made cars. The company went through a wave of massive layoffs, where other line in the factory was shut down -- except his. God kept him employed and paid, despite the chaos around him.

Just today, Cinder reminded me that we have a God who rained down food (manna) to provide for His people in the desert -- but also noted that it during an extreme hardship.

I truly wish I could say something to automatically make it better. As I'd said before, I felt the way you're talking about for many years.

Even I can't really say what changed, I just know it was God. But it was agonizing, and it was very slow, day by day, hour by hour, and all I knew was to keep praying, and reading my Bible.

I'm very happy to hear that you have experienced God answering your prayers.

He won't always answer the way we think or want, but you'll have many people here who have read your plight that will be praying with you and for you.

May God bless you and comfort you in your trials. 🙏🏼

Just lately I've been fighting to not change into a different person who is completely jaded.
Lately, I get that way too due to chronic pain and exhaustion. Hopefully, God will mitigate or remove it for me. I will indeed say a prayer for you for you to feel the positive influence of God in your life.

You should upgrade to the real Jesus!

Yessir, they didn't allow any marxist sissies either.

OK, she. Hopefully she was born a she and wasn't a guy "transitioning" to become a she.
Again: If your life is so boring that trolling on a forum is the best you can do for entertainment, at least you could put some effort into it and come up with better insults. Your cookie-cutter lines are more boring than nothing at all.

It's like a nerd who is still reciting lines from Monty Python's holy grail movie, in lieu of real conversation. Yeah it was hilarious the first time, but can we hear something else now?

Come on, give us something innovative. I could insult people better than this all day long. In fact I work with some people who DO insult people better than this all day long.

I'm tired of being ignored, I'm tired of being treated with contempt, I'm tired of people failing me, I'm tired of living in country where it seems it was designed against me.

Why am I nice to people? Isn't it useless?
They never stick around, they never listen and it seems they don't remember me.
Does nobody learn? Does nobody seek understanding?

Why be gentle with anyone anymore?
Why hide what I think? Why hold back my words and my thoughts?

I am given expectations without being told, and when I ask, I'm told to find another.
What is this?

Deep within me is an intense and fiery rage, a great anger towards all of humanity.
I agreed with God that he was sorry he made Human Race.

Why be friendly with humanity when it is being treacherous with me?

You know, I just thought of something. What if you're being harassed, persecuted because you are a Christian and satan is actually targeting you for being one?

These are the last days and he knows his time is short. Hang in there and don't let go of God. That's what satan would want you to do.

I'll pray for your covering!

it is impossible for God not to speak to a born again Christian. something is wrong here. when someone becomes born again, immediately, the Holy Spirit enters your life & lives with you forever. the Holy Spirit is the comforter & teacher. think of P{salm 37:23- "the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord & he delighteth in his way". then Proverbs 3:5- "trust in the Lord with all thine heart & lean not unto thy own understanding, in all thy ways, acknowledge Him & He shall direct thy paths". inis UNMISTAKEABLE when the H.S. speaks to someone. you TOTALLY knows Him. if you are truly born again, the H.S is speaking to you. you haven't learned how to recognize Him. cast out the devil in your life as well as any strongholds: James 4:7- "submit yourselves to God, resist the devil & he will flee from you". step life up, get moving, locate the issue & discard it!!!!!!!!

Probably not a good idea for Christians to talk about getting advice from wizards

This can lead people in to witchcraft causing them to stumble

Seriously, some may think "Brother Cinder follows wizards so maybe I need to look in to witchcraft and find me a wizard too"

The wizard was Gandalf in the fellowship of the ring movie. It's a rather well known movie and quote.

And honestly I can't tell if you didn't know that or if you were just looking for something to find fault with.

In the meantime, oh no I've been misgendered how will I ever survive this great insult and rejection of my identity by a person so completely unimportant to me.

Angry Young Men aren't anything new..I heard it was that way in 1950s Britain when the economy was dire and everything looked bleak, so they made these plays that included the kitchen sink, as that was reality for a lot of people.

The story goes that this man had this education for better things, but this guy could only find work in a sweet shop (or was it sweat shop?) kind like the movie Slackers or Clerks if you've seen that one (these were in the 1990s) . Nothing much has changed.

I don't know how old you are..I'm just thankful I was able to get a job that paid me some money(and lots of people said when I worked in libraries --'at least you have a job!' but now that I don't they can't say anything and look at me with pity. I just have to tell people 'I'm retired!' )

I do have a job lined up now but you still have to 'win a job' in my country because its competitive, lots of people apply, and I'm not one of those people who get the first job I apply for all the time. Its often the 'luck of the draw' or 'a numbers game'.

Forget about starting a family of my own that ain't gonna happen. I think for women, 'winning a husband' is something you might do when you are in your teens/twenties but that childhood sweetheart will change into a person you may not recognise as you get older and life's pressures get to them. Depending on how you are raised. I was raised to be independent, not dependent on a man.

Marriage was for other people, not me. Here, unless someone sells their big farm and makes subdivision into suburbia, it is hard to find a new home to raise a family and you'll have to make do with someone else's leftover houses or rent a place.

What do you mean precisely when you say "God speaks to Christians"?
Are you saying you hear an actual audible voice of God or are you assuming God is trying to communicate something to you whenever something happens?

As far as I understand it, God only audibly speaks to his prophets, and if you're not a prophet of God then you're not going to hear his voice during this time frame.

I'd be very careful about assuming God is communicating things to you just because "X" happens, I'm not saying you can never take something as the "Finger of God" but It's very easy for something like assumption and presumption becoming a falsehood or a Heresy.

The Human mind is very good at filling in blanks with just anything.

My advice would be thorough study of scriptures- especially seeking to understand what it's trying to say and that should come around to the Hebrew and Greek, because I've seen people get things totally wrong and are way off.
