Someone who believes in Jesus as their Savior but has been wrongly indoctrinated by being in a heretical church, even placing all their trust in Jesus, will not be saved because of these errors stemming from a lack of knowledge?

It is faith (trusting) in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus to pay for our sins that gives salvation. Bad doctrine is just a handicap (or snare) that the devil has made use of. By seeking truth one might escape such snares and mature in faith.

If a person confesses Jesus as Lord and Savior they will be saved.
But if they go to a Church that does meet up to the requirements to be Christlike and they believe they will not be saved.
Or if they teach anything that would hinder salvation and they believe they will not be saved.
Gal 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
Gal 5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
2Ti 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

Many Churches teach things that hinder salvation and it is other teachings that hinder other than they cannot abstain from sin.
If a person hates sin and does not want sin and allows the Spirit to lead them they can abstain from sin.
But some deny the Spirit leading them because they will not let go of the flesh.
And love sin more than God and do not come to the truth.
And some denominations teach they cannot abstain from sin hindering all who believe that to not be saved.
Some reduce Jesus' status like Jehovah's witnesses and Mormons.
The Catholics call Pope Holy Father, and Mary Queen of heaven, exalting them when God said He does not give His glory to another.
And works not required of God and saying traditions are equal to the word of God.
And the Pope saying he is the head of the Church and the priests are mediators between God and men when these are Christ's positions.
These are serious errors and much more of their errors having an occult presence about them.
Many Churches that preach things that hinders them from salvation more than preaching they cannot abstain from sin the salvation snatcher.
Or they were not saved in the first place Jesus saying He never knew them and ever learning and never able to come the knowledge of the truth.
Now a person could be saved going to a heretical Church if they do not go by their heresy but why would they be there.

Faith in Jesus, or responding to the call of the Father is "a personal surrender to Him and a life inspired by such surrender."
With that said, it could happen in any of Gods programs. None of them are perfect or correct on their doctrine, as much as they seem to think so.
The important thing is the daily surrender and living a life making all the many decisions each day that show God we really do consider our lives to be His now. If we stick to that, God will lead us into Christ and to the places He wants us. I can think of nothing better than a true temple of the Holy Spirit being in the middle of a heretical group of called out ones.
No, Jesus promised that those who seek truth regarding God's requirement for salvation will find it (Matt. 7:7).
IOW, wrong beliefs will be weeded out as a truthseeker perseveres in learning God's Word (Eph. 4:11-15).

This is not true. We know john 3:16-17 Rom 10:9-10 is truth. So that other doctrine some believe.. does it touch salvation or not?
Salvation is based on what? John 3:16. its " Jesus came in the flesh died on the cross for the worlds sin was burred rose the 3rd day the only way to the father?" Do they believe that.
"Putting all their trust in Jesus will not be saved " Take the sheep and goats. The goats did all these great wonderful works in His name. That name will always work. Its why some false preacher can be up front yet people get saved.. healed set free. The people put their faith in that name. Jesus told the goats I never new you. Then these "errors" is it some groups silly doctrine that does not touch salvation? Its why that "doctrine" touches salvation you run.
