You have a major problem to begin with. We are not saved by Faith. We are saved by grace.

This grace is only Applied the moment we in faith call out.

Your issue is your trying to defend a certain theology. Your question is flawered based onb that fact
This provides more succinct directions to salvation so that no one gets lost, if we look at it like a map.

Saved by faith through grace claims that faith is there to get to salvation if we find grace and pass through it. Looked at it this way, we can see how much the Calvinist's GPS will keep you circling around wondering where you are.
And throwing the city of works in there before reaching Salvation risks driving full speed ahead further and further away from it.

Salvation is there (in Christ), by grace through faith, and not of works. Once you get in Christ, you are then equipped, geared up even, for good works.

So, Grace must be there, in order to reach Salvation, and it is, but that doesn't necessarily us lead through faith as much as it opens the road to Salvation, through faith, which was out before, closed to through traffic as Grace was being established... because the works road had too many dangerous dead works potholes that left everyone stranded on that road. However, once you've reached salvation, you can take the open good works freshly paved road which comes out of there...

But that is not God believing for us, which is what you had accused me of saying.

No, we still believe, with our God-given faith.

What did Jesus have to do and say to receive His Spirit? Surely He always had His Spirit.
Now your moving towards what I said from the start , God does give us the ability to faithe, but thats faithing into things that aren't directly connected to our relationship with Him also.

Lets get one thing straight " believing " isn't faith or an act of saving faith.

The Strongs gives the disclaimer in the first line of its definition,at 4100 for pisteuo. " pisteuo means "NOT" JUST TO BELIEVE. "

You seem to like being a hand puppet?

Grace controls our flesh, so our soul can be made able to believe.
Without grace our flesh would oppress our soul's ability to believe.

That is why we are first saved by grace, and faith follows as we accept God's Word.

If what your saying is true, Grace alone would make God, His Son, His word, and the promises in His word our to claim. But it doesn't, without faith ( a personal surrender to Him and a life inspired by such surrender) we are none of His (Rom.5 :8-9and all those things are not ours either.

I trusted God fully 50 years ago my friend. And have been ever sense.

Yes. Your not trusting the God who can rescue you..

The gospel states you are a sinner. lost. and enemy of God. and you can not save yourself. He must save you. that is the purpose of the cross.

If your trying to save yourself. then again,, I think you have proven my point
Your trying to save yourself by submitting under your power and doing the work. And not being the tax collector. unable to ven look up at God. and begging for his mercy.

Nope. Faith is somethign I did. And until God proves untrustworthy. I have no fear of losing that faith. because it is in him.

Since God will never prove untrustworthy. my confidence in him will continue..

Stop pointing to I (I must) when you do that. your pointing away from Jesus

Trusted God for what?

Trusting that He will be the Lord of "YOUR LIFE"?

Trusting that He will give you His eternal life?

Trusting That He will bless you and YOUR LIFE ?

Trusting that The promises in His word (that because you obviously still haven't responded in faith, a personal surrender to Him and a life inspired by such surrender, aren't yours yet) but you trust they are!

Sound familiar?

Thats not the same as a personal surrender to Him and a life inspired by such surrender.

Trusting He will accept the surrendered life everyday. Trusting He will guide and lead the surrendered life as He wills. Trusting that He will complete and finish the surrendered life as He desires. Trusting that surrendered life will become more of Him and less of us. This is correct trust!

Notice anything?

With true faith and faithing, a continually surrendered life, there's no expectations of anything in return for it, to be genuine it has to move towards you expecting nothing in return for your surrender, and " trusting" that your life is nolonger our anymore, but His now.

again, I had that experience 50 years ago, when I fell on my face and cried out to God..

Have you had this experience? or are you still trying to get it by "submitting to God of your own power?"

Let me ask you EG, when i started the surrendered life, things started to happen. Most of them you can find in scripture, some are not. Can you, will you, testify to what those things are and what they feel like on a daily basis.

There is only one correct reply to my request, let's hear it.

Just asking, what do you mean by the abbreviation "AA"? I thought it meant "Alcoholics Anonymous," but that isn't a particularly Christian organisation, so would not have the third step you describe. Just wondering.

Your missing the point. if someone makes a decision to turn their life and will over To God, and doesn't know anything about Him or His name, is that a legitimate act of saving faith?

And mine was the real answer, but if you can explain how God created the world including humans, go ahead.
Where did you get that from?

I don't think you have been following what I said.

My question was?
How could an all-knowing God create man without interfering with their choice to believe, or reject Him?
And, yet allow for the choice to be freely made?

Unless God shows someone?
There is no way to guess.

I got it from this:

The million-dollar question is?

How could God create all our souls without knowing which way we would choose?

Unless God shows the answer to someone?
We could never guess.

I added: How God created anything/performs all miracles is beyond our comprehension.

Then you zigged by saying:

It was a real question. I guess you do not care to see what my answer might be?
It could end the dilemma of God knowingly creating souls for the Lake of Fire.

Did you not follow what I said and upon further reflection now want to zag by saying instead, "Amen!"?
Do we still have a dilemma?

Do you want to ask "Why would God knowingly create souls bound for the Lake of Fire?"

How God created anything/performs all miracles is beyond our comprehension. - Was not an answer.

Here is the answer.

All things created were created through the Son. All things. Including mankind.

For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible,
whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through
him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. Colossians 1:16-17

That is the key to understanding how men could have been created without the one creating them to be knowing how they would choose. And, the insight needed is to be understood by understanding the nature of Jesus in the Incarnation.

End - Part One.

I find I'm getting repetitive, so I'll write this once more, and leave it for the moment. Scripture tells us that God grants us belief, not just the ability.

Putting faith/faithing in doesn't change the result.

It does when the application is is done.

One is just believing, the other is personally surrendered life to Him and living a life inspired such surrender.

Believing avails nothing.
The continually surrendered life avails everything Jesus promised.
