Speaking as a single guy, who is a minor minister in a church (not the pastor) I can say that having a wife provides a shield against certain allegations. Even if the guy has never done a sin or even thought about doing a sin, it can be very easy for people to accuse him of certain sins. The wife's very presence shields against such spurious accusations.
So yeah, there are some good reasons for it.
No matter single or married, in church, always try to have 3 people or more for gathering, for example, a man and a woman if not in dating or marriage, should not be alone too much to avoid wrongful accusations.
There are healthy boundaries we should stick with.

In my observation, if anyone insists to do 1 on 1 visiting, it always ended up with trouble.

Because although supposedly we're not of this world, we're still in this world, and dating inevitably gets you involved with the world, unless you live in a secluded community with a childhood sweetheart, and you both grew up in the church or something. That might seems possible to you, but not to me.
I don't believe the bible has any specific teaching on dating, which is a post WWII modern invention.

And "overcome the world"? Seriously? Have you ever heard of the expression "falling in love"? "My heart was stolen"? Doesn't sound like self control and taking heart to me, lol. Was Lord Jesus Satan by teaching us to pray, "lead us NOT into temptation, but deliver us from evil?"

Then apparently you don't know the difference between carnal and evil. Evil or not depends not on the act of "falling in love" or with whom you fall in love, but your own motive. If it's just "hormones", if it's your own lust, well, I surely wouldn't call it godly.
