I would say that our sins do not affect what is given to us through Christ not that we should be practicing sin by any means but if our sisn had the power to overide what Christ has done and given us then I don't see the point of the cross

Maybe one day I can receive healing for my eyes I have seen others receive healing but I myself have never been able to receive it in fact I have never received any miracle before I have seen others receive it though through prayer.

The cessationists do not receive because they have shut down the avenue for miracles due to their own personal doctrines but as to why some believers can receive and others not I am not sure all I know is that God is the same today as he was yesterday

If we want to keep a sickness He will let us.

Yes miracles and the gifts are still for today and there are many fakes out there this is true however that is how the enemy works he plants seeds of doubt with the fakes and then the real thing is usually scarce because of the unbelief that the fakes have caused within the body.
Many christians don't know this is exactly why Satan produces all these fakes to begin with. They are weapons of unbelief.

I dont quite understand Gideon in saying the Holy Spirit is not Lord.
[/QUOTE]
The Holy Spirit is not Lord. Right now, only Christ has that designation because the Father declared it.
In Revelation, when Jesus is totally finished with the Church, He will give that authority Back to the Father who is above all.

Notice how we quickly focus on "there are fakes", when Jesus teaches we need to focus on Him? Me too, of course, that old roaring lion has no opening as we focus on Jesus, frommy experience.
YMMV?

It is the responsibility of the accuser to provide evidence.
The accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
I presented evidence with the quotes. You are just wanting me to requote what I quoted. go read if you want to.

The God of the Bible is most certainly not bound by the need for human faith.

Even a child understands this.
A child has the faith the believe and when did you ever see a miracle happen in the bible without faith? God is not limited of course but without faith you cannot please God

Yes precisely this is why we have to disregard all the fakes out there and believe in the God of the impossible

That's easier said than done to the babes & weak minded who are swayed at every new teaching. That's why Paul tells us to go on to perfection(maturity).

Age of miracles?

Yes, we believe God Performs miracles in all ages, however, we also believe that
the dispensation where He, through Christ, on earth, Taught Israel these promises...:

“And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive”
(Matt. 21:22).
+
“Again I say unto you, that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that
they shall ask, it shall be done for them of My Father which is in heaven” (Matt. 18:19).
Rightly Divided (2 Timothy 2:15 AV) From “Things That Differ!” (online):

...the above promises are now "on Hold", because In Today's Dispensation of His Amazing
Grace,
we now find Christ, From Heaven, Revealing to Paul In His Mystery, For us, The
Body Of Christ, These Promises:

What "we know" = Many can quote this:

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that
love God, to them who are the Called according to His Purpose.”
(Romans 8:28 AV)
But, how few are able to quote this, from the same context? = what "we Don't know"?:
"Likewise The Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we
should pray for as we ought: but The Spirit itself maketh intercession for us
with groanings which cannot be uttered. And He That Searcheth the hearts
knoweth what is The Mind of The Spirit, because He Maketh Intercession for the
saints according to the Will of God." (Romans 8:26-27 AV)

So, what ( critics? ) "lack of faith" did Paul have when he asked God, in prayer,
three times for his infirmity, and "did not see a miracle"? Bible Answer:

"And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the
revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan
to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
For this thing I besought The Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And He
said unto me, My Grace Is Sufficient for thee: for My Strength Is Made Perfect in
weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that The
Power of Christ may rest upon me." (2 Corinthians 12:7-9 cp Romans 8:28 AV)
There is so much more to this, so please be encouraged and edified in further

When Did the gift of tongues Cease? (I) [scroll to bottom of pg 18]

When Did the gift of tongues Cease? (II)

Yes precisely this is why we have to disregard all the fakes out there and believe in the God of the impossible
We do believe in This God, [ not according to our sight ( experiences )]
But According To His Specific Word to us, The Body Of Christ!
That's easier said than done to the babes & weak minded who are swayed at every new teaching. That's why Paul tells us to go on to perfection(maturity).

Amen, well said!

No, YOU are guilty of false accusations. Look it up.
Don't sin by falsely accusing me. You made a strawman argument. I quoted it and pointed it out. You used a false dichotomy, and I quoted it and pointed it out.

Ditto. I doubt it. Innocent until evidence is shown in a current post, not by alluding to some nebulous ancient history. 😇
