We're talking about BDF, right? Man, if someone started a dating thread there he would be labeled at least 15 kinds of heretic. I'm not gonna start it, they'd jump on me so bad I might start questioning my own salvation. :p

That's what I was thinking.

You could start a disgruntled American dating thread.

Actually, I was talking about the Singles forum (disgruntled dating forum). I think the BDF would be more of the ....no, I can't even imagine anyone in the BDF getting along with anyone long enough to even begin to form a relationship that doesn't revolve around violently exorcising the burning demons found in all of those who believe in minute and meaningless differences in obscure and irrelevant areas of legalistic brain-bending useless ideas. (meaning everyone else)

so how bout that hockey eh?

Thanks. I was worried that I killed this thread with my off-topic rant about the BDF. (Though I actually thought about writing a ill-conceived BDF dating profile...) Woops, I brought it up again. Abort, abort! Think Canadian...think metric system, Canadian bacon, and cops on horses. There. That's better. Eh?

I wish you would post one in there. I would love to see the title of that thread.

I would be tempted to do the deed myself but it wouldn't be worth the effort. The thread would get lost in all the background noise before I got to work this morning.

But here's how it would go if I did do it:

Title: Legalist Looking for L'amore

OP:
I'm a legalist looking for that special someone in my life. My hobbies are proving I am right and anyone who disagrees with me is wrong, and long walks on the beach. Lately I have felt there is something missing in my life, a need that beating people over the head with out-of-context bible verses can't fill. I need a partner in my life, someone who can help me look up verses and come up with the arguments I missed.

IMPORTANT! You must already believe exactly the way I believe. It is no good for you to change what you believe to fit what I believe, for then you are a hypocrite. You have to already match my beliefs in every smallest detail.

I know you are out there somewhere and I hope to debate with you soon. I can't say I pray to meet you soon because that would start another "Does God have a special someone for everyone?" thread, and while it would be amusing it would get in the way of meeting you.

Nicely done, Lynx. I couldn't even get past coming up with a title...I got as far as "Looking for love in all the obscure dubiously factual places..."

I've overlooked something very important in this "Canadian" dating thread: I'm sorry.

Single ladies, the Canadian Wonder-Boy is here, and I've got my Justin Beiber "Made In Canada" t-shirt on.

So let the bidding begin!!!

Bidding begins at 1 loonie (that's $1 in American language).

I'm definitely "1" (infinitely single.)

And, I've been called "loonie" more times than I can count. Most especially by family and friends.

Henceforth... where do I sign up to meet this mysterious Canadian Boy Wonder?

I think I more than qualify as a bid. :D

Seoulsearch, meet me at the border. But you won't need a passport or ID to get across our borders, just bring the Canadian security guards a box of Tim Horton's assorted tim-bits, while singing "O Canada", and for good measure give them each a toonie (that is $2 in American language) and they'll let you pass.
