6When everything had been arranged like this, the priests entered regularly into the outer room to carry on their ministry. 7But only the high priest entered the inner room, and that only once a year, and never without blood, which he offered for himself and for the sins the people had committed in ignorance. 8The Holy Spirit was showing by this that the way into the Most Holy Place had not yet been disclosed as long as the first tabernacle was still functioning.

9
This is an illustration for the present time, indicating that the gifts and sacrifices being offered were not able to clear the conscience of the worshiper. 10They are only a matter of food and drink and various ceremonial washings—external regulations applying until the time of the new order.

11But when Christ came as high priest of the good things that are now already here,a he went through the greater and more perfect tabernacle that is not made with human hands, that is to say, is not a part of this creation. 12He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, thus obtaining eternal redemption.

15For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance—now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant.

25Nor did he enter heaven to offer himself again and again, the way the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood that is not his own. 26Otherwise Christ would have had to suffer many times since the creation of the world.

But he has appeared once for all at the culmination of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself.

The law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming--not the realities themselves.

11But when Christ came as high priest of the good things that are now already here,a he went through the greater and more perfect tabernacle that is not made with human hands, that is to say, is not a part of this creation. 12He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, thus obtaining eternal redemption.

seems like gentiles picking up Old Covenant garments that Israel had to take off to put on the new. and then acting like they're doing something the isrealites could never do and that God never intended to continue is what's trendy.

The law was added. Because of israels transgressions. Bulls and goats could only atone for, or cover their for one year. that's why all the law keepers who focus on the day of atonement are actually focusing on another shadow, since the jews sins were only covered for a year.

this move to acting jewish is not only based totally on myths and lies by individuals who write their own Bibles to make them say anthing but that Christ is the end of the Law for righteousness (but only for those who believe).... the law and the prophets bear witness to it, that is this righteousness apart from the law.

Jesus. and that he actually took away since he didn't just cover it for a year. like if people still need reminders hopefully one day they will come into the reality.

Not even those who are circumcised keep the law, yet they want you to be circumcised that they may boast about your circumcision in the flesh.

Circumcision has value if you observe the law, but if you break the law, you have become as though you had not been circumcised.

For it is we who are the circumcision, we who serve God by his Spirit, who boast in Christ Jesus, and who put no confidence in the flesh

"For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished.19 Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven."

Matthew 5:18-19

Matthew 5:20,48
[SUP]20 [/SUP]For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
[SUP]48 [/SUP]Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God's sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.

know that no one is justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ. And we have believed in Christ Jesus so that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no human being will be justified.

Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses.

I agree wholeheartedly.

You state Christ is the center of the whole Bible, I am not trying to be argumentative here, but if you will do a conccordant search for the word father in the gospels, you will find the Father is the central theme. Christ did what the Father told Him to do, said what the Father told Him to say and came to reveal the Father.

It is not about Christ, it is about the Father.

Peace.

oh my goodness.

A voice came from the cloud, saying, "This is my Son, whom I have chosen; listen to him."

25And He said to them, "O foolish men and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken! 26"Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things and to enter into His glory?"

21"For this reason some Jews seized me in the temple and tried to put me to death.22"So, having obtained help from God, I stand to this day testifying both to small and great, stating nothing but what the Prophets and Moses said was going to take place;that the Christ was to suffer, and that by reason of His resurrection from the dead He would be the first to proclaim light both to the Jewish people and to the Gentiles."

Then I said, "See-- it is written about Me in the volume of the scroll-- I have come to do Your will, God!"

You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me

Isa 56:6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;
Isa 56:7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

Isa 2:2 And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD'S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.
Isa 2:3 And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

Certain elements of the Old Testament became old and legalistic (if forced) when Jesus forbade them in the New T. writtings which He told the Apostle Paul and the others to write. Very simple. Love to all, Hoffco

The law by which those who lived before Moses did not go forth from Zion nor from Jerusalem.

Neither did the law of the LORD given through Moses go forth from Zion or from Jerusalem, but from Sinai.

Therefore Isaiah prophesied regarding a new law. The prophet Jeremiah also prophesied regarding a new law in chapter 31 verses 31 - 34. There the prophecy is of a new covenant.

However, in that prophecy is the statement, "I will put my law in their minds, and write it in their hearts." That this prophecy has been fulfilled may be observed in Hebrews chapters 8 and 10. In the allegory regarding a desire to be under the law which is found in Galatians 4:21 - 31 plainly shows that the bondwoman woman and freewoman are symbolic of two covenants.

The covenant from Mount Sinai symbolized by the bondwoman, but Jerusalem above which is the mother of us all is symbolized by the freewoman because we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.

In Hebrews 12:18 - 24 we are informed that we have not come to Mount Sinai (vv. 18 - 21), but unto Mount Zion, the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn ones and to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant.

Observe the things mentioned both in Isaiah 2 and here. The fulfilling of the prophecy "out of Zion shall go forth the law. And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem" actually began at literal physical Jerusalem. However, the things which we have considered indicate that the prophecy was not referring to physical Jerusalem, but rather "the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem."

WE are saved for the purpose , so we can keep the laws of God,joyfully. Now, after being saved we can keep God's laws to the happiness of God and our own eternal happiness. agree?? Love Hoff

That would make salvation as a means to obedience which would give the higher value to obedience. I'd rather say that we are saved for the purpose of fellowship with God and with His children. I prefer not to connect obedience to salvation, because they have no direct relation.

How can you both work six days and set six days aside for a Sabbath?

Are we to only worship in the synagogue on the Sabbath day? as was the custom
As Jesus was nearing the end of His ministry, Jesus said to His disciples that every stone of the Jewish Temple would be “thrown down.” Matthew 24:1-2. This occurred when the temple was destroyed by the Romans during “The First Jewish War” in 70 A.D.
---in retrospect, what is the temple of God now?
How do we keep the Sabbath Holy if not to set aside our own ways, and consecrate them for God.
So how to keep it holy...?
Supposedly we're to not do any Real work,
Ok so then what constitutes real work if we can still eat and have a sabbath meal
and feed our donkey?
Or if works of service is ok like healing others...this would mean then that its ok for Doctors and nurses and Ambulance drivers and fireman and police to work on the Sabbath too then right?
what deciding factor draws the line?
Are we suppose to rest so the cares of this world don't stress us out?
Is this the reason the Sabbath was made for man...(similar to how Jesus was made as a sacrifice for man and we rest our souls in him)

As well most aren't farmers anymore today as many were in the OT which is another thing that presents a different element.
What if doing nothing on Sabbath day stresses one out even more because that's the only day one has time to repair the house, repair the car or it breaks down etc.

What I'm saying is what draws the line not to be crossed if the pharisees came at Christ accusing him of breaking the Sabbath then he had to clarify that well...some things just still need to get done even on the sabbath.

Isaiah 58
“If you keep your feet from breaking the Sabbath
and from doing as you please on my holy day,
if you call the Sabbath a delight
and the Lord’s holy day honorable,
and if you honor it by not going your own way
and not doing as you please or speaking idle words,
[SUP]14 [/SUP]then you will find your joy in the Lord,
and I will cause you to ride in triumph on the heights of the land

So I understand your question RedTent, but my question is...how can we not do the very same the other days of the week?
Or to put it another way, should we live 6 days out of the week as we please, and only set aside one for the Lord?
Have majority of idle conversation 85.57% of the time...and only talk of God the other 14.43%

I'll share an experience in my life with you...
I've went to church for well over 20 years since being saved as a teen at 14.
Going to many Wednesday bible studies, donating my time and extracurricular activity to Sunday worship in the church band.
While I was keeping that sabbath day holy and offering myself to the Lord...for some reason my closeness with God did not further itself until I began treating every day as a worship day and time with the Lord.
Now for me...no day is any different than another in the Lord.
Every moment is an experience with him
What if we took it a step further than what is written in Isaiah...
Instead of doing what we please 6 days and giving one day to the lord...
what of giving 6 days to the Lord and only using one day for yourself.

What if I have Faith I can eat pork on Sunday but another mans faith does not allow it?

emo4.gif

I dunno, I try to treat every day equally as a day in the Lord and communion with him.
Should I cut it back to only one per week?

There have been two Temples until now. The Temple built by Solomon and the second constructed after the carrying away, at the end of the carrying away to Babylon.

Synagogue is not strictly Jewish. Synagogue is defined as an assembly, and it is not even from the Hebrew, though today it is thought of as Jewish. One may worship in any assembly, any day of the week, and that assembly may be any denomination of Judaism or Christianity.

Are we grafted in to Israel? What is the Sabbath for? Is it not the sign (like a wedding band) that distinguishes who you belong to? That is what the Sabbath means to me. I am happy and joyful that I have a date with the love of my life once a week. It strengthens our relationship and I am rested and refreshed for the week ahead. Of course, I keep a constant dialogue going (kind of like we texting back and forth) and my love is never far from me. This is a love story and the Sabbath and the other 9 commandments are our wedding vows. Our house has traditions, but they are Yah's traditions and not man-made. We call them the Feasts of Yahwey. There are 7 (8 if you count the Last Great Day separately). From the Garden of Eden and passed on down to Noah, two by two of the unclean animals boarded the ark. But by 7's were the clean animals. We eat meat, but choose not to eat what Yah calls unclean. The Torah is my life manual provided by Yah. Yeshua is Lord of the Sabbath and the Sabbath was made for man (all mankind). You've heard all the excuses for and against Remembering the Sabbath and keeping it holy. But have you heard a deeper understanding why Yeshua/Jesus had to die?

Why Yeshua Had To Die

From a teaching by Maria Merola and explanation of the Hebrew Covenant by Bill Sanford

First it is important to understand at Mount Sinai, YHWH married Israael. The cloud of smoke was the chuppah (a canopy in which a Hebrew couple was married under), The Sabbath given was the ring (the Sabbath given as a sign between YHWH and His people (Ex 31:13-17, Ezk. 20:12 and repeated in 20:20). Moses and Aaron were the witnesses.

He later divorced her when she played the Harlot by not keeping YHWH's commandents (Numbers 15:39-40) and worshiping other gods (Jeremiah 3:8).

The Engagement (symbolized)
In the story of the prodigal son in Luke 15, when the son returned home, he repented for his sins and he was given blood atonement with a “fatted calf.” Why not a lamb?It is because the Lamb symbolizes the House of Judah (the firstborn son) and the Red Heifer symbolizes the House of Ephraiym (the younger son). You see our Messiah ate the Passover Lamb on the first evening of Passover, (for Judah), but the next evening of Passover he was also the Red Heifer to cleanse Ephrayim! The Red Heifer is the only sacrifice that is done outside of the city of Jerusalem(See Numbers 19). When the younger son in the story of the prodigal received blood atonement for his sins, he received a ring on his finger and a garment. This is symbolic of the engagement ring and the wedding garment!

Beloved, what this means is that our Messiah had to eat the Passover Meal the night before he died in order to become engaged to his future bride! In an ancient Hebrew Wedding custom, the couple seal their engagement over a meal and a cup of wine. The groom then goes away until the future wedding day so that he may build a house for his bride on his Father’s estate. He then says to his betrothed:“In my Father’s house are many mansions ....I go to prepare a place for you...I will come again and receive you to myself; that where I am there you may be also” (John 14:2-3).
To the nation of Yisra’el, his backsliding, whoring wife whom he divorced in Jeremiah 3:8, he promised to bring her back to himself in a betrothal (an engagement).

Listen to what he says: Hoshea 2:19-20:“And I will betroth you unto me forever; yes, I will betroth you unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies… I will even betroth you unto me in faithfulness: and you shall know YHWH.” You see, our Messiah had to typify both the Passover Lamb & the Red Heifer in order to bring both houses back together again! That is why he ate the Passover Lamb with the bread and the wine for the betrothal, and then he sealed the betrothal the following evening when he was sacrificed as both the Passover Lamb and the Red Heifer.

If Messiah did not eat the Passover, then he did not partake of an official engagement ceremony with his future bride! In an ancient Hebrew Wedding tradition, the bridegroom would take his bride into the chamber (called a chuppah in Hebrew) and they would consummate their marriage. The “friend of the bridegroom” would stand outside the door and listen for the “voice of the bridegroom.” Once he heard the bridegroom consummate with this bride, then his joy would be complete.

This was precisely the role of YaHuW’chanon (John) the Baptist who is called
“the friend of the bridegroom” (John 3:29). Now if the bride is found out to not be a virgin, legally according to Torah, the bridegroom could divorce her (Deuteronomy 24). But if he decided that he loved her any way, he would kill a lamb and then use the blood of that lamb on the bed sheet, and then bring it outside to the wedding guests to display the blood to the crowd. The guests would then think that the blood belonged to the bride (seemingly proving her to be a virgin). This is how the bridegroom covered the sins of his beloved bride Yisra’el who had played the harlot. Now he was cleansing her with the blood of the lamb and renewing his covenant with her!-Maria MerolaDouble Portion Inheritance: Did Messiah Eat the Passover the Night Before He Died?

Question 1: Why did Yeshua have to die?

Question 2: Along with the ordinances (penalty for sin), what law was “nailed to the cross”?

YHWH divorced the Northern Tribes of Israel for committing adultery (worshiping other gods)

Jermiah 3:8

8And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also.

According to Torah, a divorced woman cannot go back and remarry her first husband. This covenant is only broken by death.

Deuteronomy 24:1-4
1When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house. 2And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife. 3And if the latter husband hate her, and write her a bill of divorcement, and giveth it in her hand, and sendeth her out of his house; or if the latter husband die, which took her to be his wife; 4Her former husband, which sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled; for that is abomination before the LORD: and thou shalt not cause the land to sin, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.

Israel thinks to go back to YHWH after her adultery

Hosea 2:7
7And she shall follow after her lovers (pagan gods), but she shall not overtake them; and she shall seek them, but shall not find them: then shall she say, I will go and return to my first husband; for then was it better with me than now.

Interesting side note: In order to test Israel, YHWH appears to provide blessings to Israel even while they are turning to worship other gods.

Hosea 2:8-9
8For she did not know that I gave her corn, and wine, and oil, and multiplied her silver and gold, which they prepared for Baal. 9Therefore will I return, and take away my corn in the time thereof, and my wine in the season thereof, and will recover my wool and my flax given to cover her nakedness.

Isaiah prophecies Israel will be remarried to YHWH:

Isaiah 62:4
4Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken (In Hebrew means divorced); neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah (means “My delight is in her”), and thy land Beulah (means “married”): for the LORD delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.

Jeremiah also prophecies Israel will be remarried to YHWH:

Jeremiah 3:14
14Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion:

…But it won’t be easy. Along with bliss, comes tribulation

Hosea 2:15-17
15And I will give her her vineyards from thence, and the valley of Achor (In Hebrew means “trouble/affliction/tribulation”) for a door of hope: and she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt. 16And it shall be at that day, saith the LORD, that thou shalt call me Ishi (husband); and shalt call me no more Baali (My Lord). 17For I will take away the names of Baalim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name.

This is like the birthing process, the tribulation of the process brings a door of hope (what is birthed).

Even YHWH himself prophecies Israel will be remarried to Him!

Isaiah 54:4-8
4Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more. 5For thy Maker is thine husband; YHWH is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called. 6For the YHWH hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God. 7For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.
8In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the YHWH thy Redeemer.

Ok, how is YHWH going to pull this off without breaking His own commandment?

Romans 7:2-3
2For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. 3So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

So which law was nailed to the cross?

Romans 7:4
4Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.

The law of divorce (in addition to the ordinances/penalty of sin) was nailed to the cross.

There was more to it than that. It requires the understanding of a Hebrew Covenant:

The Hebrew word for covenant is “brit”. It means “to form an agreement”, but within the Hebrew word “brit” are three different Hebrew root words which mean “to make a choice”, “to eat”, and the Hebrew word for “meat”.

A covenant is made to us by choosing to eat meat. We also find the word “make” before the word “covenant”. We find the Hebrew word that means “to cut” as well. So in order for the two parties to enter into a covenant agreement, there must be the cutting of meat (which is the sacrifice) and the agreement is made as they eat the meat, with the understanding that if either party violates the covenant, they will be cut to pieces, just like the sacrifice.

Ten of the twelve tribes broke the covenant with YHWH and caused the dividing of two separate pieces or houses: Israel and Judah. When Yeshua made covenant with the twelve disciples, they broke bread and drank wine which symbolized His body as a covenant , then Yeshua went out and was sacrificed as required in order to fulfill terms of the broken covenant with Abraham and the renewed covenant and to provide a way for the House of Israel to return to the covenant for Yeshua is the covenant that binds us to all of YHWH’s everlasting covenants and promises. For He was sent only to the House of Israel scattered to the nations

It is interesting to note all the Feast Days are surrounded by the participation of a meal in remembrance of all the covenants that have been fulfilled and are yet to be fulfilled on these Feast Days. When we honor the Sabbath or Feast Days with the eating of meat, the breaking of bread, the drinking of wine, what is represented at the table is the symbolism of all the covenants YHWH’s people have made with The Father and we are proclaiming by our obedience that yes, we belong to you and we desire to walk with You in the terms of our covenant and inherit all the promises outlined in Your Torah.

Ecclesiastes 3:14 says:
14I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be forever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.

If you think Paul is saying something different than Jesus' words in Matthew 5, then it's possible
you are elevating Paul's words over Jesus' words.

And I pray and trust that isn't the case.
Okay. . .now I get it.

I don't buy into the "conflict model" between Jesus and Paul
. . .
and I'm sorry this is your case. . .
so I'm out on this.
But regardless of whether we agree or not, and whether you want to keep talking or not,
thanks for your thoughts, and thanks for loving and serving God with your entire life.
Thanks. . .but your cover is blown.

Again, Great Post Elin! Short but sweet!
But these deceivers won't listen!
It's to the Deceived who still love Jesus, that you must speak to!
be blessed!
But your correct, their false covering is blown! Boom!

That's fantastic. So let's go back to Isaiah 56:1-6 and follow
This is what the Lord says: “Maintain justice and do what is right, for my salvation is close at hand and my righteousness will soon be revealed. Blessed is the one who does this—the person who holds it fast, who keeps the Sabbath without desecrating it, and keeps their hands from doing any evil.” Let no foreigner who is bound to the Lord say, “The Lord will surely exclude me from his people.” And let no eunuch complain, “I am only a dry tree.” For this is what the Lord says: “To the eunuchs who keep my Sabbaths, who choose what pleases me and hold fast to my covenant—to them I will give within my temple and its walls a memorial and a name better than sons and daughters; I will give them an everlasting name that will endure forever. And foreigners who bind themselves to the Lord to minister to him, to love the name of the Lord, and to be his servants, all who keep the Sabbath without desecrating it and who hold fast to my covenant...
