it was not addressed to me but I will answer nonetheless, I want to go directly to Jesus Himself on this because His words settle the question more clearly than anything else.

You included this verse in your own post:

Think not that I am come to destroy the law or the prophets. I am not come to destroy but to fulfil. (Matthew 5:17)

But then the conclusion drawn contradicts what Jesus said in the very next breath:

Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments and shall teach men so he shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 5:19)

That is Jesus speaking — directly to His followers — warning against teaching others that the commandments no longer matter. That warning did not come with an expiry date.

And when a man came sincerely asking about eternal life Jesus did not say the law is finished and behind us. He said:

If thou wouldest enter into life keep the commandments. (Matthew 19:17)

Jesus then went deeper into the commandments in the Sermon on the Mount — not to abolish them but to reveal their true and fuller meaning. Do not just avoid murder — deal with anger in your heart. Do not just avoid adultery — deal with lust in your heart. That is not abolishing the law. That is Christ taking it deeper into the soul than any external rule ever reached.

And He closed the question of love and obedience with perfect simplicity:

If ye love me keep my commandments. (John 14:15)

Nobody here is saying the commandments save us. Salvation belongs to Christ alone — His life, His death, His resurrection. That is not the debate. The question is how a believer who truly loves Christ lives — and Jesus answered that question Himself clearly and repeatedly.

The commandments are not a yoke of condemnation for the believer. They are the natural expression of a heart that loves God. Jesus said so Himself.
Jesus was sent to the covenant people only, Israel.

The commandments are not the ten commandments.

Gentiles are under grace and not under the law.

1 John 3:23-24
This is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another,
just as He commanded us. The one who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him.
We know by this that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.

You are under the curse of the law.

You started off wrong. Jesus came to lost sheep of the house of Israel. His audience wasn't Gentiles, no matter how diligently you attempt to make it so. These Israelites were still under the old covenant. They were obligated to the whole law. The Gentiles were never placed under the law. To ignore this is to misunderstand the difference between the 2 covenants.
if i follow your logic, then all Jesus did and said is for Jews only and you cannot be saved......

You forget the mission Jesus gave to his 12 disciples to go to all nations and teach all he said and did. this is what scripture says about it . I have a lot more texts to prove this point.

Jesus words are for all - Jews and gentiles. the ten commandments are the the covenant, please read the opening post so we can discuss if you want.

Jesus was sent to the covenant people only, Israel.

The commandments are not the ten commandments.

Gentiles are under grace and not under the law.

1 John 3:23-24

just as He commanded us. The one who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him.
We know by this that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.

You are under the curse of the law.
Let us take these one at a time and go straight to Jesus Himself.

"Jesus was sent to Israel only."

Jesus did correct a Gentile woman initially with these words — but then He healed her daughter and honoured her faith above all He had seen in Israel. (Matthew 15:28). And His final command before ascending was unmistakably universal:

Go ye therefore and teach all nations. (Matthew 28:19)

All nations. Not Israel only.

"The commandments are not the Ten Commandments."

Jesus was asked directly which commandments. He quoted directly from the Ten:

Thou shalt do no murder, thou shalt not commit adultery, thou shalt not steal, thou shalt not bear false witness, honour thy father and thy mother. (Matthew 19:18-19)

Those are the Ten. From the mouth of Jesus Himself.

"Gentiles are under grace and not the law."

Grace and the commandments are not opposites. Jesus never taught that. He said:

If ye love me keep my commandments. (John 14:15)

No exceptions for Gentiles anywhere in those words.

"You are under the curse of the law."

Jesus did not come to curse us. He said:

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world but that the world through him might be saved. (John 3:17)

The foundation remains simple and unchanged:

If thou wouldest enter into life keep the commandments. (Matthew 19:17)

If the law cannot make us holy, righteous or justified & instead condemns the sinner without mercy to death. And was to be preached UNTIL Christ's arrival (Gal 3:19).

Then why are so many people determined to place New Testament believers back under its yoke of condemnation?
The law that was preached Until Christ's arrival was the law of ordinance found in sacrifices and offerings.

By understanding that the law that is holy just and good is not nailed to the cross and has not changed you can understand why the bible talks about keeping it today.

2 laws with different purposes

One is the moral law to define sin.
Rom 7:12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.

One was to point people to Jesus the saviour.

Heb 9:10 Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.

Heb 8:6-8
6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. 7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. 8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

More excellent ministry....
Better covenant....
First wasn't faultless....
Findind Fault with them....

The Ten Commandments were given by God Himself and written by God's own finger. It is faultless.

Is there a law more excellent then the Perfect law of God?
Can you write a BETTER law?
Is the law Faulty in anyway ?

The perfect law is faultless so it is not the reason why the second was introduced.

The laws of ordinance were not as good as the ministry Of Christ
The blood of lambs was not as excellent as the blood of Christ.
The Shadow laws were faulty when it comes to taking away our sins.

The second covenant was better, more excellent and faultless in the sacrifice of Jesus.

Heb 9:1 Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary.
Heb 9:9-12 KJV 9 Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience; 10 Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation. 11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; 12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

Heb 10:1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.
Heb 10:4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.

The laws that were given to point to Jesus, the cerimonial laws were replaced by Jesus and this is why the second covenant is better.

But the 10 commandments are perfect.

You really should try harder. And we know what the disciples shared. It is written for us. As is other instruction given by Jesus through the hand of Paul. So yes, by all means promote the words of Jesus. But in the promoting, promote them all.

But the 10 commandments are perfect.
In saying A new covenant, God made the 1st old, & what is old obsolete (Heb 8:13). The context is the entire Sinai covenant, not merely sacrifices. Paul reinforces this by calling the law written on stone-the 10 Commandments - the ministry of death & the ministry of condemnation (2 Cor 3:7–9). That alone disproves the idea that only ceremonial laws ended. The moral law is holy, just & good (Rom 7:12), but it still demands death (Rom 7:10–11) & works wrath (Rom 4:15). Hebrews says the 1st covenant was faulty because of the people (Heb 8:8), not because the tablets were imperfect. The covenant failed, not the stone. Christ is the end of the law keeping for righteousness (Rom 10:4) & after faith has come we are no longer under the schoolmaster (Gal 3:25). The law exposes sin & condemns the sinner, but Jesus fulfilled its demands & gives life through faith in His finished work

Hebrews also states that with a change of priesthood there must be a change of law: For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law (Heb 7:12). The priesthood changed from Levi to Christ, therefore the law itself, not just sacrifices, had to change. Jesus summarized the entire moral law in 2 commandments: love God & love your neighbor (Matt 22:37-40). Paul repeats this, saying love fulfills the law (Rom 13:8-10) & all the law is fulfilled in one word: love your neighbor (Gal 5:14). If love fulfills the whole law, then the 10 Commandments are not the covenant believers live under. They were shadow of the greater law of Christ written on the heart by the Spirit. Love accomplishes what the tablets could never do: it produces righteousness from the inside out.

If love fulfills the whole law, why are you trying to put believers back under the stone‑tablet covenant that Paul calls the ministry of death? That no living person has ever been under.

This response sidesteps the most important voice in the entire conversation — Jesus Himself

You must have missed what Jesus said in Hebrews 10:9

Hebrews 10:9
Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.

you cannot do it by talking past the direct words of Christ.

You cannot do it by ignoring the direct Words of Christ.

Look, the moral laws of God in the New Covenant are a higher standard than in the old covenant.

A good example of that is thou slat not commit adultery.

Under the old covenant it was not actually a sin unless you did the deed, but in the New Covenant Jesus said if you lust after a woman in your heart it's the same as doing the deed and is sinful.

Jesus did not say keep the commandments as a childish starting point you eventually graduate from. He said:
Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments and shall teach men so he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 5:19)

Yes, He's speaking of the Doctrine of Christ that is taught when the Gospel of the Kingdom is preached - remember what Jesus said in Luke 16:16

Luke 16:16
The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.

Remember we need to take Jesus at His Word right?
The commandments Jesus is speaking of are New Covenant commandments, unless one wants to claim Jesus lied in Luke 16:16

As the answer to the question of eternal life — spoken by the Author of eternal life Himself.

And of course you'll need to remember that the old covenant law cannot bring life.

if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law. (Galatians 3:21)

Keeping the ten commandments does not cause one to become born again. You are aware of that right? Lots of people live their lives not violating the ten commandments and when they die they go to hell for eternity.

The Spirit does not lead us away from the commandments of God

The Holy Spirit bring forth a higher standard that the commandments of the old covenant.

And since you are trying to live under the old covenant you have already brought condemnation upon yourself by not keeping the law with 100% perfection

James 2:10
For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

He that hath my commandments and keepeth them he it is that loveth me. (John 14:21)

Yes, keeping the Doctrine of Christ NOT the law of Moses.

Keep swinging dude, one of these days you'll understand the difference between the old and the new and transition over in to living in the New Covenant so you can be alive unto the Lord and not just keeping the ten commandments.

This is the language of intimate love between a believer and his Lord.

If that were true then you wouldn't be teaching against the Doctrine of Christ and the Gospel of the Kingdom which is what Jesus and His Apostles taught after Jesus took the old covenant away so He would establish the New Covenant as He said in Hebrews 10:9

Those are the words of Christ. They have not changed.

Luke 16:16
The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.

Those are the words of Christ. They have not changed.

The moral law or 10 commandments are perfect and have always been God's standard.

GOD made a perfect world.
There were laws to prevent and identify sin..
Adam sinned ....

Thou shalt Love the Lord with ALL thy heart
Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Ex 20:3.

Sin entered

There was continual sin. All have sinned.
Rom 5:13 ...but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
Rom 7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

There has been a law since there has been sin.

God gave the 10 commandments and the laws given through Moses to the israelites because they were to be God's light to the world.
A written reminder that would not be confused..
God wants to save all. Israel was the people God used to preserve the truth.

It does not mean other people could not be saved. Isa 56:3-7.

The sabbath was before the 10 commandments. Gen 2:3
Exo 5:4-5 the word REST is
H7673 Transliteration: shâbath.
5 And Pharaoh said, Behold, the people of the land now are many, and ye make them rest from their burdens.
Exo 16:4-5 KJV 4 .... that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no. 5 And it shall come to pass, that on the sixth day they shall prepare that which they bring in; and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily.
The sabbath is clearly a law and they didn't obey....Exo 16:28 And the LORD said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws?

These laws were there before the 10 commandments were given.

No controversy at all. The sabbath in the New Covenant is abiding in Christ 24/7/365

That's a higher standard than worshiping the Lord just one day a week
No one has said to worship the Lord only one day a week. We should worship Him 24/7.
Look at the commandment.
Exo 20:8-11
8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: 10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: 11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Don't forget the sabbath.
Keep the day (24 Hours) holy
Do your work on the other 6 days but rest on the sabbath of THE LORD which is made holy...

No where in the bible is the sabbath changed or the holy, sanctifying blessing removed.

Creation week is when it was made holy and God has not said anywhere the 7th day is no longer a sanctified, holy day.

Creation even tells of a Sabbath instinct

Sin has almost removed the image of God from the whole world but there is a few animals and creatures in nature that retain an instinct to rest on the Sabbath.

Bees
Beavers
Ox
Dogs
birds
And more.

Look them up yourself
But here is a link to the sabbath keeping bees ....
If the link doesn't work
Type in "Sabbath-keeping bees and sabbath instinct". On you tube.

From now on, I’ll let God speak:

-"For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them." But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for "the just shall live by faith." Yet the law is not of faith, but "the man who does them shall live by them." Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree"), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith."
Galatians 3:10-14 NKJV

-"What purpose then does the law serve? It was added because of transgressions, till the Seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was appointed through angels by the hand of a mediator."
Galatians 3:19 NKJV

***-"Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor."
Galatians 3:24-25 NKJV
Did Jesus Keep the Sabbath?

Yes!

So with that I ask, what Faith?

Christ's Faith.

As verses 26,27 state " We are all children of God through the Faith IN Christ Jesus. For as many who have been Baptized into Christ Jesus, have put on Christ.

We are crucified with Christ: nevertheless we live; yet not us, but Christ liveth in us: and the life which we now live in the flesh we live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved us, and gave himself for us.

Righteousness comes from this faith not the Law. BUT THIS FAITH ESTABLISHES THE LAW as Paul shares in Romans 3.

So... Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)
Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)
But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; (Rom 10:6-8)

The Word in our hearts, that is the word of Faith that we preach. That is the faith that establishes the Law and the Just Live by.

For God has I will put my Laws in their hearts and in their minds will I write them. I will give unto them a new Spirit and cause them to walk in my Way, Jesus Christ.

You must have missed what Jesus said in Hebrews 10:9

Hebrews 10:9
Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.

Lets look at the context, if we allow the Bible to explain Itself, it usually will as it does here....

Heb 10:1 For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come,

Which law?

and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect. 2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? For the worshipers, once purified, would have had no more consciousness of sins. 3 But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year. 4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins.

5 Therefore, when He came into the world, He said:

“Sacrifice and offering You did not desire,
But a body You have prepared for Me.
6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin
You had no pleasure.
7 Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come—
In the volume of the book it is written of Me—
To do Your will, O God.’ ”

8 Previously saying, “Sacrifice and offering, burnt offerings, and offerings for sin You did not desire, nor had pleasure in them” (which are offered according to the law), 9 then He said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will, O God.” He takes away the first that He may establish the second. 10 By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

What was Christ predicted to do?

Dan 9:27 Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week;
But in the middle of the week
He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.

So the law that was a prescription for sin in the law of Moses He was predicted to bring an end to and why???? The Scripture plainly tells us. This is why plucking a verse out of context to make an argument , instead of allowing the Bible to explain Itself, which allows it to explain Truth- which is what we should be seeking. Our truth doesn't save or sanctify, only God's does John17:17

4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins.5 Therefore, when He came into the world

Jesus was predicted to do something else with another law

Isa 42: 21 The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness’ sake;
He will magnify the law, and make it honourable.

He came to put an end to animal sacrifices and magnify another law- the law of God, the one written by the Holy Spirit Exo31:18, the Ten Commandments which He plainly says He did not come to destroy but to fulfil- MAGNIFY which He did by placing them in our hearts and minds and showing how lust leads to breaking the commandment to thou shalt not commit adultery and anger leads to thou shalt not murder. Mat5:17-30

James 2:10
For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
Like the other verse you left off some context that explains this verse.

James 2:10 For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.

Which whole law is James only quoting and contrasting?

11 For He who said,

“Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.”

Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law.

Unlike many Christians today James did not remove God from His commandments. James is quoting what He said, which is God, from the Ten Commandments- breaking one we break them all and have become a transgressor of the law- because the Ten Commandments is what defines sin according to God- they came in a unit of Ten according to God Deut4:13 only the Ten Commandments is under the mercy seat of God Exo25:21 and His blood is what covers the sins from this law- why He warns us of not removing of jot or tittle, because if our sins are not under His mercy seat, they don't do away, we just cover them Pro28:13 which is not the spot we want to be in when He comes Exo20:6 Heb10:26-30

12 So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty.

Why the Ten Commandments is what we all will be judged by Rev11:18-19 breaking one we break them all because they are all interconnected.

AI is a tool the devil uses to deceive people.

Beware!
Agreed
No controversy at all. The sabbath in the New Covenant is abiding in Christ 24/7/365
There is no Scripture that says this. The Sabbath is still according to the commandment Luk23:56 just the way God said- no editing Deut4:2 Ecc3:14 Mat5:18-19 Rev22:18-19
That's a higher standard than worshiping the Lord just one day a week
There is obviously a misunderstanding of the 4th commandment. I think you are confusing devotion to God with one of His commandments. We should praise and worship God 365/24/7 but the Sabbath is having a complete rest from work so we can keep the Sabbath day holy. to honor God Exo20:8-11 Isa 58:13 If everyone was keeping the Sabbath holy 365 days, we would all die, because no work can be done. Why God in His great wisdom commanded work for 6 days Exo20:9 and asked us to dedicate ourselves the entire day to keep the Sabbath day holy focusing on His on the day He set aside from Creation Exo20:11, made for mankind Mark2:27 so so He can spend holy time with us and to bless Isa 56:2 and sanctify us Eze20:12 because we can't do this ourselves. Isa 66:17

Jesus related false worship to keeping our own traditions and laws over obeying the commandments of God quoting directly from the Ten Commandments- He said it makes our worship to Him in vain when we do so. He said this is the path that leads to a ditch, which is off the narrow way. He said in doing so it makes the word of God of no effect.

Mat 15:3 He answered and said to them, “Why do you also transgress the commandment of God because of your tradition? 4 For God commanded, saying, ‘Honor your father and your mother’; and, ‘He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.’ 5 But you say, ‘Whoever says to his father or mother, “Whatever profit you might have received from me is a gift to God”—6 then he need not honor his father or mother.’ Thus you have made the commandment of God of no effect by your tradition. 7 Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying:

8 ‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth,
And honor Me with their lips,
But their heart is far from Me.
9 And in vain they worship Me,
Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ ”

10 When He had called the multitude to Himself, He said to them, “Hear and understand: 11 Not what goes into the mouth defiles a man; but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man.”
12 Then His disciples came and said to Him, “Do You know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?”
13 But He answered and said, “Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted. 14 Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch.”

Its best to let God be God and obey Him through faith, even we don't always understand His reasoning but trust He made us and knows what is best for us.

Yes, what I was stating was what the Pharisee said to Jesus and His disciples that plucking the heads of grain for food and healing on Shabbat wasn’t allowed. Of course Jesus is Lord of Shabbat. :)
Yes. But only prohibited by Pharisees, not by God. The Pharisees were effectively putting themselves in place of God, usurping his authority and actually breaking his law by pretending to keep it. These were the Sabbath breakers, not Jesus.

The OC was full of blood, and the same for the NC (via the ultimate sacrifice, Jesus).
That is precisely why the practices and precepts TAUGHT by Moses were united to the people were called the MOSAIC COVENANT rather than the the AGREEMENT or CONTRACT of Moses.

18That is why even the first covenant was not put into effect without blood. 19For when Moses had proclaimed every commandment of the LAW to all the people, he took the blood of calves and goats, along with water, scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled the scroll and all the people, 20saying, “This is the blood of the covenant, which God has commanded you to keep.”j
(Hebrews 9:18-20)

Yes, that was the OT prescription for sin until the Seed. Gal 3:19 Dan9:27 Heb10:1-15- what was handwritten by Moses in a book besides the ark of the covenant- what was inside the ark of God's covenant held the law of God, the Ten Commandments- written by God Himself Exo31:18

Sin never changing, still breaking the law of God even in the NT 1John3:4 James 2:10-11 Mat5:19-30 Rom7:7. God's standard of righteousness (right-doing) never changes Psa 119:172 Isa 56:1-2 it is everlasting Psa 119:142 the foundation of His throne Psa 89:14. What changed in how we go about forgiveness of sins because the blood of goats and sheep's could never really remove sin- why Jesus had to come and be our Sacrificial Lamb. Why Jesus taught Repent (of sin) meaning change our minds! For the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand and still is- we want to be in this group

Rev 22:14 Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.

Not in this one...

Rev 22:15 But outside are dogs and sorcerers (Breaking commandment #1 Exodus 20:3) and sexually immoral (breaking commandment #7 Exodus 20:14) and murderers (breaking commandment #6 Exodus 20:13) and idolaters (breaking commandment #2 Exodus 20:4-6), and whoever loves and practices a lie (breaking # 9 Exodus 20:16 or any of the commandments 1 John 2:4) Breaking one we break them all James 2:11-12 Exo 20:1-17 .
