I brought it up because claiming the "work of God" is bondage is just as bad as saying Jesus sinned basically saying the work of God produces bad fruit, which is impossible. They might not understand the allegations they are making about God and better to understand this now so they can hopefully re-think their teachings than not to say anything at all and they continue on using the name of God in vain, misrepresenting God's character.

I have never called this person any names, or called them Pharisaical. Usually the one claiming others are accusing is the one accusing. Jesus spoke of this as well. Mat7:3-5
Just because you haven't called a person any names doesn't mean you haven't mistreated them.

You call him a sinner by saying he is using the name of God in vain. You are far from innocent on this matter. Don't pretend otherwise. Shifting blame onto others when you are accused of something is also a mark of one lacking integrity.

Hmmm Peter preached to the Roman Centurion. Do you believe that he was a Jew?
Cornelius was a Gentile.

But Peter's primary assignment was to the Jewish church in Jerusalem.

Peter did not go on missionary journeys to other countries like Paul.

Here is a timeline of Paul attending Jerusalem after his conversion.

Galatians 1:18-19
Then three years later I went up to Jerusalem to become acquainted with Cephas, and stayed
with him fifteen days. But I did not see any other of the apostles except James, the Lord’s brother.

Then we have a much later visit by Paul to Jerusalem, some 14 years later.

Galatians 2:9
And recognizing the grace that had been given to me, James and Cephas and John, who were
reputed to be pillars, gave to me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship, so that we might
go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised.

James, Cephas, and John, were pillars in the church in Jerusalem.

The eleven were apostles to the Jews.

Cornelius is an exception to the rule.

The old covenant became obsolete because it was not fulfilled; not because it was cumulative. The Adamic covenant was cumulative. The Noatic covenant was cumulative. The Abrahamic covenant was cumulative. The Davidic covenant was cumulative. They all involved elements of the new covenant. This was never true of the Mosaic covenant.
Jesus already fulfilled the OC.

-""Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill."
Matthew 5:17 NKJV; Romans 10:4

That is open to debate.

I suspect this is @Dino246 in real life.

If God had saved the Israelites out of bondage in Egypt in order to put them under bondage to His law, then it would be for bondage that God sets us free, however Galatians 5:1 says that it is for freedom that God sets us free, so you are not correctly identifying what Paul was speaking against. In Psalm 119:142, the Law of God is truth, and in John 8:31-36, it is the transgression of the Law of God that puts us into bondage while the truth sets us free.

God wanted His children to repent and to return to obedience to His law all throughout the Bible, and even Christ began his ministry with that Gospel message (Matthew 4:15-23), so it would be absurd to interpret Galatians 5:4 as Paul warning against obeying God and saying that we will be cut off from Christ if we repent and believe the Gospel of Christ. In Psalm 119:29-30, he wanted to put false ways far from him, for God to be gracious to him by teaching him to obey His law, and he chose the way of faith by setting it before him, so this has always been the one and only way of salvation by grace through faith, and it would again be absurd to interpret this as if he wanted God to be gracious to him by teaching him how to fall from grace. If you think that Paul warned us against obeying God and God therefore warned us against obeying Paul, then you should follow God instead of Paul, but the reality is that Paul was a servant of God who therefore never spoke against obeying anything that He has spoken.

Everything in the Law of Moses is either in regard to how to love God or how to love our neighbor, which is why love fulfills the law and why Jesus said in Matthew 22:36-40 that those are the greatest two commandments and that all of the other commandments hang on them, so the positions hat we should obey the greatest two commandments is also the position that we should obey rest of the Mosaic Law.

In Galatians 5:16-23, Paul contrasted the desires of the flesh with the desires of the Spirit and everything that he listed as works of the flesh that are against the Spirit are also against the Mosaic Law while all of the fruits of the Spirit are aspects of God's character traits that the Mosaic Law was given in oder to teach us how to embody. The desires of the flesh causing us not to do the good that we want to do is how Paul described his struggle with the law of sin in Romans 7, which is the law of sin that the Law of the Spirit of Life has freed us from (Romans 8:2), so that is the law that we are not under when we are led by the Spirit. The Law of Moses was given by God and the Spirit is God, so it would be contradictory to interpret Galatians 5:18 as referring to the Law of Moses as if we are not led by God when we are led by God.

If Paul had been speaking against circumcision for any reason and not just against incorrect reasons, then Galatians 5:2 would mean that he caused Christ to be of no value to Timothy when he had him circumcised and Christ is of no value to roughly 70% of the men in the US. In Acts 15:1, men from Judea were wanting to require Gentiles to become circumcised in order to become saved, however, that was never the reason why God commanded circumcision, so the Jerusalem Council upheld the Mosaic Law by correctly ruling against requiring circumcision for an incorrect reason. In Exodus 12:48, Gentiles who wanted to eat of the Passover lamb are required to become circumcised, so the Jerusalem Council should not be interpreted a ruling against Gentiles correctly obeying what God has commanded as if they had the authority to countermand God. However, if you still think that the Jerusalem Council ruled against obeying what God has commanded, then the bottom line is that we must obey God rather than man, so we should be quicker to disregard everything that any man has said than to disregard anything that God has commanded.
You are missing the mark in understanding the Scripture!

-"For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh; but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God."
Romans 2:28-29 NKJV

Those who do His will are His heirs, not the Jews of today.

Jesus already fulfilled the OC.

-""Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill."
Matthew 5:17 NKJV; Romans 10:4
Jesus fulfilled the requirements of the law for all He saves. The Jewish people under the covenant did not fulfill it. So God brought judgment on them just as He said.

You said in #4360:
The old covenant became obsolete because it was not fulfilled;

This is incorrect; it was fulfilled in Jesus.

Jesus fulfilled the covenant for those He saves. If He fulfilled the the old covenant for the entire Jewish nation, why did God pour out His wrath on them in 70AD?

You are missing the mark in understanding the Scripture!
What do you think that I am missing?

-"For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh; but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God."
Romans 2:28-29 NKJV
In Romans 2:17-29, Paul addressed those who called themselves Jews, so he was speaking to Gentiles who had converted to being Jews but who were not following the Law of God and he was making the point that being a Jew is not just about being physically circumcised but is also having a circumcised heart, which is evident by our obedience to the Law of God. In Romans 2:25-29, the way to recognize that a Gentile has a circumcised heart is by observing their obedience to the Law of God, which is the same way to tell for a Jew (Deuteronomy 10:12-16), and circumcision of the heart is a matter of the Spirit, which is in contrast with Acts 7:51-53 where those who have uncircumcised hearts resist the Spirit and do not obey the Law of God.

Those who do His will are His heirs, not the Jews of today.
God has straightforwardly made His will known through what He has commanded in His law (Psalm 40:8).

You still cling to the law to embody God's traits. The law cannot do this. If it could, no savior would be necessary. It's a false premise. God's traits are embodied in us by the Spirit. He is the source of the fruit of the Spirit.

What allows God to be both Judge and Justifier?
We can't embody God's character traits instead of following God's instructions for how to do that. For example, whenever some does an act of charity in obedience to the Law of God they are embodying God's righteousness, the Spirit leading us to be a doer of charity does not involve doing something that is not in accordance with being the Law of God, ad there is nothing about this that means that no savior would be necessary. Jesus saves us from our sin (Matthew 1:21) and sin is the transgression of the Law of God (1 John 3:4), so Jesus graciously teaching us to embody God's character traits in obedience to the Law of God is intrinsically the way that he is giving us his gift of saving us from not being a doer of the Law of God.

No, no, Paul is directly addressing the Jews in Romans 2.

Romans 2:17-18
But if you bear the name “Jew” and rely upon the Law and boast in God, and know His will and
approve the things that are essential, being instructed out of the Law.

Romans 2:24
For “the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you,” just as it is written.

Tell me you can see this Soyeong?

Actually, Jesus fulfilled the law for the Jews because the Jews were under the law.

Jesus was only sent to the Jews to fulfill the law.

The Gentiles were a wild olive tree and are grafted into Christ, rather than being a cultivated olive tree.

I didn't say that Paul was not addressing Jews but that he was addressing Gentiles who had converted to being Jews. It would be an odd way to refer to native Jews by speaking about those who call themselves "Jews" or bear the name "Jew", but rather that is clearly indicating a change in their status by converting to being Jews.

Right, the Spirit, not the law. The embodiment of God is the Spirit.

Saving us was accomplished at the cross. It becomes realized when God reveals this truth to an individual.

Jesus fulfilled the covenant He had with the Father. Thus, the Father gave Him a people for Himself. The beneficiaries of that covenant are those who believe.

You cannot become a Jew.

A Jew is a descendant of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

A Gentile can convert to Judaism but a Gentile remains a Gentile proselyte.

Romans 4:1
What then shall we say that Abraham, our forefather according to the flesh, has found?

No Gentile can call Abraham their forefather according to the fleshly lineage.

By claiming that "if you love Jesus you will obey the 10 commandments ".

I am not teaching righteousness by works. Legalism.
I'm not earning salvation
I'm not promoting or encouraging sin.
I'm not picking and choosing which laws I want to obey and which laws I want to ignore.
I'm not separating faiths part in salvation.

What am I doing wrong?
