ATG Said: So, when any of you work on your sabbath day for pay, you profane your sabbath day?

So, none of you work in any way, that demands working on your sabbath day? Gvt ruler/employee, military, police, first responder, corporate executive, park service...

The LORD told us not to work on the Sabbath, to get all our works/labors in 6 days so we can keep the seventh day holy, the Sabbath of the LORD thy God Exo20:8-11

Jesus healed on the Sabbath so it was never a sin to do that. Jesus said the priests who work on the Sabbath doing priestly things not a sin, like a Pastor preaching on the Sabbath.
True. Nor was meal preparation, rescuing livestock, helping neighbors...

This doesn;t apply to the majority of us- we have no excuse not to keep the Sabbath day holy, resting in Christ keeping the day about honoring Him Isa58:13
So, that would be a no: None of you work for pay in any manner, where work is required on your sabbath day? Gvt ruler/employee, military, police, first responder, corporate executive, park service...

Add train conductor, cruise ship service...

when and if you are serious then contact me not before.
Do any of you work for pay in any manner, where work is required on your sabbath day? Gvt ruler/employee, military, police, first responder, corporate executive, park service...

If so, then some of you profane your sabbath regularly, correct?

So why are you judging God on one of His commandments. Why do you think God would give a commandment that He judges on and than not give us the power to be able to keep through Him. Your objections were similar to the Pharisees and many misconceptions about God's Sabbath.

Can you please quote Scripture on your objections so we can actually look to see what is discussed in context.

You first attempt not to answer was seductive, because I almost believed, that there are some of you sabbath-commanders, who actually keep your own commandment. But your second attempt is just the usual hypocritical effort to insult the messenger.

Jhn 15:22
If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin.

At least when Jesus demanded plainly of the Pharisees, they just said, "We cannot tell" , rather than all the thinly- cloaked blathering.

And so, we see that once again, pseudo-sabbath keepers today, are regular breakers of their own sabbath.

They go on and on ad nauseum about all their self-righteous 'holy' sabbath, and yet profane it for pay at will.

There are some who then try to play corban, by giving special dispensation to their sabbath-breakers. They 'allow' them to donate their corrupt pay to charity, as do corrupt politicians. Or even better, to their priesthood, who are all too happy to dispensate their profaneness for cash.

Mar 7:9
And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition. For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death: But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free.

And ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother; Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.

Once again, we know the difference between the commandments of the Lord and the traditions of men: The Lord doesn't give any 'exceptions' to break His commandments, especially not to justify it by corrupt corbanism.

1Ti 3:2
A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre;

You keep quoting things outside the Bible, I am just trying to bring it back so we can not depend on our own ideas outside of Scripture.

John15:22 is not about how to keep the Sabbath. If you want to discuss Scripture with real examples we can discuss, otherwise I will just agree to disagree.

What commandments did Jesus quote from? Are you claiming the Sabbath is not a commandment of God? Would you care to find that in Scripture because our LORD both spoke and wrote this commandment and called it "My commandments" Exo20:6 Exo20:1-17 Exo31:18 Deut4:13.

You keep quoting things outside the Bible, I am just trying to bring it back so we can not depend on our own ideas outside of Scripture.
I.e. this is not about keeping your sabbath, but only about self-righteously preaching it to yourselves and others.

John15:22 is not about how to keep the Sabbath.
Neither is your sabbath preaching about how to keep your sabbath, but only how to preach and play sabbath-day.

And Jesus answered and said unto them, I will also ask of you one question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.

Do any of you work for pay in any manner, where work is required on your sabbath day? Gvt ruler/employee, military, police, first responder, corporate executive, park service...train conductor, cruise ship service...

Do you people keep your sabbath, or just like to preach and play sabbath-day?

No I do not work for pay on the Sabbath, nor do I work for non-pay on the Sabbath. God gives us 6 days to get all our works and labors done Exo20:6 and commanded us to keep the seventh day Sabbath holy Exo20:8-11 by resting from our works and spending out time honoring God focusing on Him Isa58:13

God doesn't look at the breaking the Sabbath any different than breaking the other 9 commandments. Man might, not God and what He says is what matters to me.

Here we have someone who consistently tries to gaslight everyone in the forum. No sabbathb, the problem is you pretending it is the other person. You gaslight and not very well.
What do you expect from such people, that love to preach their 'holy' thing to others, but don't keep it themselves?

It's just another game of people that preach themselves special, without any honour from God:

2 Cor {4:5}
For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.

Jhn 5:44
How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?

They're no different than the JW's, who have filled themselves with volumes of argument about their 'Jehovah', just to say Jesus is not God.

They're all pseudo scripture-talk, and do not what they say.

Fair enough answer for yourself. But does not answer the question, which is for your congregation:

Do any of you work for pay in any manner, where work is required on your sabbath day? Gvt ruler/employee, military, police, first responder, corporate executive, park service...train conductor, cruise ship service...

Are all such careers and employments forbidden to any in your congregation? If anyone is doing such work for pay on your sabbath, is he or she honorably accepted members of your congregation?

Answer the question given, and I'll be glad to tell you by what authority I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ.

So all of this and not one example and nothing to show where the context I brought in in Col2:16 that Paul was quoting is wrong.

The SDA's do not reject the New Covenant- we just believe what God said it is- His laws now written in our minds so we know to do them and written in our heart because we delight to do the will of God by our love to Him Heb8:10 John14:15

And who is better to define what God's laws are than God Himself- Exo20:6 His own written and spoken Testimony Exo31:18 that He promised not a jot or tittle would change Mat5:18 heaven and earth would have to pass first and its still here. As if God changed we can now worship other gods, or stopped defining what God we are to only worship Exo20:11 Rev14:7 that we can now cheat, steal, lie, no wonder why Jesus taught not to break or teach others to break the least of these commandments- its the path that leads one in a ditch Mat5:19-30 Mat15:3-14
You say that Adventists believe the new covenant then immediately go back to the old. Talk about cognitive dissonance..........

I have been born again for 54 years. I have Jesus living in my heart to cause me to be the person that God wants me to be. That means I do not want to murder, to lie, to slander or commit adultery because Jesus does not do such things. Not once in 54 years has he told me to worship on Saturday.

I am not perfect because I still have a physical body and because Satan still tempts me from time to time. When I confess my sin, I am forgiven. Lord Jesus entered the Holiest place when He rose from the dead, not in 1844. Keep living in the shadows. I'm living in the light. I am under the law. It's not the 10 commandments. It is the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus. You should try it sometime. The truth will set you free.

Its doesn;t apply to myself- its for the people of God Exo20:8-11 Heb4:9NIV

I am not sure the point you are trying to make, It appears you are trying to make the point that one of God's commandments can't be kept, so therefore why try? Or something along these lines- this is something you will have to take upwith God.

Suit yourself, if you don't believe God's laws He wrote in our hearts do not include the Ten Commandments and we can worship other gods and not worship our Creator Rev14:7 Exo20:11 and steal and lie or break the least of these commandments, the opposite of what Jesus and the apostles taught and that's the way to holiness and reconciliation, feel free to continue on that path despite Jesus saying its the one that leads to a ditch Mat15:3-14 Mark 5:19-30 1John2:4. Guess we shall find out at His soon return.

Sorry I meant it doesn't "just" apply to myself. The Sabbath Jesus said was made for mankind Mark2:27 so unless we are not human the Sabbath is meant for us- God wants to spend holy time with everyone why He invited everyone Isa56:6 - I recommend allowing Him to bless us Isa56:2 and sanctify us Eze20:12 because we can't do this ourselves Isa66:17

Take care all and God bless! 🩷

We SDAs do not reject the fact that there is a new covenant, IN Christ ... We reject the idea that being in a new covenant with Christ and His Righteousness, gives anyone licence to disobey God, license to sin and be deceived &diluted into thinking that you are a Child of the Father, His Chosen people and heirs to His Kingdom.

I believe I've already presented you, this Biblical reasoning, scriptural logic that shows that your "religion of disobedience" is what we Christians are in conflict with both physically in this world AND spiritually, Here & NOW ! Evident by the "Cosmic Conflict" between Satan and his angels and Christ & His Angels.
Your slanderous and lying accusations won't wash with me. You claim that I have a religion of disobedience. First, I have no religion. I'll leave that to the 19th century Pharisees and their SDA followers. I have Jesus and He is living in me right not to be all that God requires of me. I do not obey the law that brings death. I obey the Lord Jesus as He leads me according to the law of the Spirit of Life in Him.

You claim to obey the law then cheerfully slander anyone who does not agree with your false interpretations of God's word.

Ellen G White was a false prophet. She proclaimed that Lord Jesus entered the Holiest place in 1844. That is a direct contradiction of Hebrews 9:24. Guess what. I believe God's word before I believe anyone else, including Ellen G White.

You have presented me with a hodgepodge of part truths, pronunciations of a false prophet, slanderous accusations and false assumptions. No thanks.

Go to Israel and become a pharisee. You'll do just fine there. I am already holy because Jesus is my holiness. I am already righteous because Jesus is my righteousness. I'm already in heaven because I am seated in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

The law was given to Israel, not to gentiles. I'm not a Jew. Of course, you are selectively blind to the truth of God's word. Acts 15 is how the written law applies to me. In other words, it does not.

SDA are masters at selectively quoting the Bible. Well, you will all pay a terrible price. I do not say that you will be found in hell, because anyone who is born again will not be found there. I do say that you will be judged as you judge others.

Jesus said of John the Baptist....

Mat 11:9-11
9 But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? yea, I say unto you, and more than a prophet. 10 For this is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. 11 Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

John preached ... Mat 3:2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

He was preparing the way for Christ's first coming and it wasn't a message of peace and safety.

The message to be preached today is ....

Rev 14:6-12
6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, 7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. 8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. 9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. 12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

It isn't a message of peace and safety. It is one of repentance and urgency. It is about getting ready to meet the coming Lord.

In Noah's day they laughed at the thought of a flood...

You can laugh at the message we are promoting but please learn from the past. Read your Bible and tell me which prophet prepared God's people by giving them words that were sweat and pleasing?

Would you prefer people tell you the truth or a lie?

2Ti 4:2-4
2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
