Most Christians assume that Sunday is the biblically approved day of worship. The Roman catholic church protests that it transferred Christian worship from the biblical Sabbath (Saturday) to Sunday, and that to try to argue that the change was made in the Bible is both dishonest and a denial of Catholic authority. If Protestantism wants to base its teachings only on the Bible, it should worship on Saturday.

What Protestant pulpit does not ring almost every Sunday with loud and impassioned invectives against Sabbath violation? Who can forget the fanatical clamor of the Protestant ministers throughout the length and breadth of the land against opening the gates of the World's Fair on Sunday? The thousands of petitions, signed by millions, to save the Lord's Day from desecration? Surely, such general and widespread excitement and noisy
remonstrance could not have existed without the strongest grounds for such animated protests.

No Protestant living today has ever yet obeyed that command preferring to follow the apostate church referred to than his teacher, the Bible which from Genesis to Revelation, teaches no other doctrine, should the Israelites and Seventh-day Adventists be correct.
Both sides appeal to the Bible as their "infallible" teacher. Let the Bible decide whether Saturday or Sunday be the day enjoined by God. One of the two bodies must be wrong, and, whereas a false position on this all-important question involves terrible penalties,
threatened by God Himself, against the transgressor of this "perpetual covenant," we shall enter on the discussion of the merits of the arguments wielded by both sides. Neither is the discussion of this paramount subject above the capacity of ordinary minds, nor does it involve extraordinary study. It resolves itself into a few plain questions easy of solution:

1st. Which day of the week does the Bible enjoin to be kept holy?

2nd. Has the New Testament modified by precept or practice the original
command?

3rd. Have Protestants, since the sixteenth century, obeyed the command of God
by keeping "holy" the day enjoined by their infallible guide and teacher, the
Bible? and if not, why not?
To the above three questions, we pledge ourselves to furnish as many intelligent answers, which cannot fail to vindicate the truth and uphold the deformity of error.


The challenge of Rome goes on for many more pages but to sum it up....
They say that the Protestant church's claims to follow the bible and the bible only and no Protestant church does this except the SDA. Because they prove that the change from Saturday to Sunday was not biblical but a change that they made. (Changed by catholic authority from God not the bible). They have all the records and history and the change has no Biblical origin.

After watching these teachings a little over a week ago, a light went on in me, ( I'm sometimes dim witted ), the Holy Spirit enlightening that not only is Ellen White an End Times messenger, a "Third Elijah", and that the Remnant Church in giving the Elijah message as well. It dawned on me that this is the message, being the Three Angels Message, ... that we have been progressing towards here in this forum all along, by our collective efforts in Christ, promoting Truth and obedience to God by presenting Christ and His Righteousness to this world during this awesome Day of The Lord, these "End Time Events"

The lambs book of life is important.
If your name is not in there you are not saved.

A person’s name is recorded in the book of life when they manifest repentance for sin, exercise faith in Jesus Christ, and choose to serve God. True faith.

While our names are entered when we first believe, the Scriptures warn that it is possible for a name to be blotted out if a person turns back to a life of sin or fails to overcome. We are currently living in a time where the records of heaven are being examined to see who has remained faithful to the end.

Rev 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Exo 32:33 And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.

Eze 18:24 But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, .....and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.

Dan 12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Knowing that your name can be blotted out or removed from the book of life is important. You can loss salvation.

You do not know what it means to be saved. You are bound by the old covenant. No one puts new wine in an old wine skin. And that is exactly what SDA attempt to do. SDA takes the new covenant in the blood of Christ and smothers it in the old. Your loss.

And that one truth grasped completely is the key that unlocks the meaning of the Sabbath, the possibility of holiness, the destiny of humanity, and the heart of God's entire plan for the people He made and loves.

This goes back to the manna story and what a deeper meaning it brings and why God connected the test of the manna from heaven with the Sabbath. The manna represents our dependence on God, test of obedience, that God's provides for His people regardless of the conditions we are in.

The Sabbath teaches us these same principles - rest is commanded and provided for by God, He made it possible to rest from our works as He did on the seventh day, showing complete dependence on Him its an act of faith in Him. Joining ourself to Him Isa56:6, instead of depending on our own works of righteousness, but on His Exo32:16 Psa119:172

We reject the idea that being in a new covenant with Christ and His Righteousness, gives anyone licence to disobey God, license to sin and be deceived &diluted into thinking that you are a Child of the Father, His Chosen people and heirs to His Kingdom.

Paul paraphrase those verses in Romans 10:6-8

You skipped verse 4. Do you not understand why Paul quoted that verse? It was to show that righteousness comes from faith, not from following laws. In fact, verse 4 says Christ is the end of the law for everyone who believes.

And I wasn’t mistaken. Gentiles were never under the Mosaic Law. Paul specifically says in verse 8 that the word in our heart is the word of faith, not a checklist of 613 commandments. Why are you trying to use Paul to bring back the yoke he spent his whole life trying to take off?

It says breaking one you break them all and James only quoted and contrasted what God said in the Ten Commandments that according to God included the Sabbath. Exo20:1-17 Deut4:13. No one is removing any commandments. No one is saying disobey the commandments.

HOWEVER, we ARE saying going to church on Sunday is not the mark of the beast and no one is condemmed for it. That is just SDA Ellen White false teaching.

The following is scripture from the actual Bible. Ellen White is a false prophet, which makes her a liar and anyone following her nonsense is deceived. I would advise everyone to follow scripture and not cults who usually place their 'prophets and teachers' ABOVE the Bible.

You skipped verse 4. Do you not understand why Paul quoted that verse? It was to show that righteousness comes from faith, not from following laws. In fact, verse 4 says Christ is the end of the law for everyone who believes.

And I wasn’t mistaken. Gentiles were never under the Mosaic Law. Paul specifically says in verse 8 that the word in our heart is the word of faith, not a checklist of 613 commandments. Why are you trying to use Paul to bring back the yoke he spent his whole life trying to take off?

They ignore that too. This whole SDA thing is in complete compliance with the desire of things that want to put the focus on people who are hopelessly and totally incapable of saving themselves (at least that's what God says) and give the backside to God's salvation through His Son.

You are misquoting EGW again and leaving out lots of context- you did not quoted WHEN this would happen.

And I have addressed those passages more times than I can count bringing in all of the context, which not once has anyone ever responded back with Scriptural evidence supporting otherwise, here it is again.


There are several different Sabbaths in the Bible that uses the same word, but has very different meanings.

There is the seventh day Sabbath- instituted at Creation Exo20:11 Gen2:1-3, came before sin, reaffirmed in the Ten Commandments Exo20:8-11, written by God personally Exo31:18, placed inside God’s ark Exo40:20 God called it “the holy day of the Lord” Isa58:13

There are the annual sabbath(s) feast days that are always tied to animal sacrifices, they don’t always fall on the seventh day can be on any day and came after the fall and were handwritten by Moses, placed besides the ark of God’s covenant came after sin.

• 1st day of Unleavened Bread
• 7th day of Unleavened Bread
• Pentecost
• Trumpets
• Day of Atonement
• 1st day of Tabernacles
• 8th day of Tabernacles

We see these in Leviticus 23 and these are additional feasts besides the Sabbath of the Lord- the seventh day Sabbath Lev 23:37-38

So I think we are being quick to assume by seeing the word Sabbath that has different meanings and assuming it means the Holy Day of the Lord that comes with God's blessing and sanctification , without looking at the context that Paul carefully gave and we should let the Bible interpret itself.

Ordinances
τοῖς δόγμασιν (tois dogmasin)
Meaning: “decrees,” “regulations,” “legal demands”

It is a legal document that condemns sinners why Paul used the word “against us” and “contrary to us”. The law does not condemn the righteous, it condemns the sinners.

Just from this context that Paul gave we can eliminate the Ten Commandments, but lets let Scripture interpret Scripture.

2 Chron 33:8 and I will not again remove the foot of Israel from the land which I have appointed for your fathers—only if they are careful to do all that I have commanded them, according to the whole law and the statutes and the ordinances by the hand of Moses.

What law is the law that was contrary and against?

Deut 31:24-26 So it was, when Moses had completed writing the words of this law in a book, when they were finished, 25 that Moses commanded the Levites, who bore the ark of the covenant of the Lord, saying: 26 “Take this Book of the Law, and put it beside the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, that it may be there as a witness against you;


It appears from the text that this is not referring to the Sabbath in the Ten Commandments that was written by God Himself by His finger Exo31:18 placed inside the ark of the covenant, not besides like the annual sabbath(s) connected to animal sacrifices.


This is the law that was taken away at the Cross.

This is the exact language referring to the annual sabbath(s) that were handwritten by Moses, placed besides the ark that refer to annual feasts days, sacrifices and offerings that some were also called sabbath(s)

Eze 45:17 and it shall be the prince's part to give burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and drink offerings, in the feasts, and in the new moons, and in the sabbaths, in all solemnities of the house of Israel: he shall prepare the sin offering, and the meat offering, and the burnt offering, and the peace offerings, to make reconciliation for the house of Israel.


What did Jesus say He would come to put an end to? (compared to magnifying another law- by placing it in our hearts Isa42:21 Heb8:10)

Col 2:17 which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ

What are the shadows laws? Lets let the Scriptures define what they are

8 Previously saying, “Sacrifice and offering, burnt offerings, and offerings for sin You did not desire, nor had pleasure in them” (which are offered according to the law), 9 then He said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will, []O God.” He takes away the first that He may establish the second. 10 By that will we have been []sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all

This fits the context of this passage perfectly and makes the Bible harmonize because we see Sabbath-keeping (every Sabbath) 30+ years after the Cross just as Jesus Himself indicated Isa 56:6-7 Acts 13:42, Acts 13:44 Acts 15:21 Acts 18:4 and up to His Second Coming Mat24:20-30 and forever Isa66:22-23
