Very good. And since many argue that Jesus is our example and we are to do what He did, and not do what He did not do, why are those same people telling Gentiles to be under the law when Jesus never did.
I think people confuse the difference between loving as Jesus loved and completely imitating Him. I find it pretty simple to see that Jesus followed the Fathers commandments and then told us to follow His(the Son) commandments. Then the Father backed Him up by saying listen to the Son. Why that is so hard for people to see I do not know. John 15:10 and Matt 17:5 pretty much tells you what you need to know. If you have to string together 10 Old Testament verses out of context to prove otherwise, you’re thinking too hard.

Dude leave me alone. For the last time. I'm not here to debate. Your asking about obedience, and saying we live by the law, really obedience has to do with the law right ? I'm tired and wore out on you. I do know the word says faith in obedience cover a multitude of sin. SO LEAVE ME ALONE. Mr super Christian know it all

So do not believe Him at His word and use your words instead? This is where people go wrong. Jesus knows the difference between man and Jew and used the word for mankind in Greek and Adam in Hebrew when the Sabbath started Exo20:11 before Jew, before Israel, before Moses, just man and God. No wonder why He invited everyone to join themselves to Him and serve Him and keep the Sabbath Isa56:6
Surely you know that the ORIGINAL TEXT of scripture was written in HEBREW NOT GREEK. The Greek version (of the Hebrew Bible) was a TRANSLATION into what became had the common language spoken throughout the Mediterranean. This particular dialect of Greek came to be known as Koine (or common) Greek to distinguish it from the various dialects of classical Greek.

So, after confusing Koine Greek with Hebrew you try to use your misunderstanding as evidence to prove that GOD used the generic (Greek) word for "mankind" in Exodus 20:11. From this hodgepodge of illogic and you attempt to prove that God, commanded ALL MANKIND to Keep Shabbat. From this, I see that you are incapable of understanding the basic conventions of language and narrative. You seem not even to know the basic chronology of events recorded in the Pentateuch. Yes, the Jews were not mentioned in Genesis because the term "Jew" was an abbrieviation for the tribe of JUDAH which did not come into existence until after Jacob and Rebekkah had given birth to their son Judah (who subsequently became the primogentor of the TRIBE that was named for him)

Despite your the incoherence of your views you have the nerve to assert that GOD "...invited everyone to join themselves to Him and serve Him and keep the Sabbath Isa56:6

This is complete fiction. When did He do that? Where, in the context of Genesis did God say anything about God inviting all people to serve Him by keeping Shabbat? The only thing said about Shabbat in Genesis was that God ceased from His creative works on the SEVENTH DAY. Even Moses, who wrote Genesis down as well as the Law of Shabbat did not claim that Shabbat was given in Genesis as a command from God to all mankind. There is absolutely no textual evidence for this. Your feeling of assurance about it comes not from the Bible but from the fanatical presuppositions you picked up from the likes of Ellen White.

Being under the law is always a curse to fallen man. That's why Jesus fulfilled the law so those who believe will never again come under its condemnation. Those who relate to God according to the law will always remain under the curse. Those that relate to God in and through Christ know life and that abundantly.

Koine Greek was what the New Testament was written in Hebrew mainly for the Old Testament. Greek is what Jesus used but neither translation spells Jew. Considering He is our Maker- I trust He knows the difference.

“The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.”
Greek word for “man”: ἄνθρωπος (anthrōpos)

ἄνθρωπος (anthrōpos) = “human being,” “person,” or “man” in a general sense (not specifically male)

The closest Hebrew word would be:

אָדָם (אָדָם / adam) → meaning “man,” “human,” or “mankind”

Original NT word → Greek: ἄνθρωπος (anthrōpos)
Hebrew equivalent → אָדָם (adam)

Jesus was plain on this matter who He made the Sabbath for Mark2:27-28 Isa56:6 and when it started Exo20:11 the issue is in our unbelief in what He says.

Genesis 9:12–13, 16
This is the covenant with Noah — made with every living creature on earth, long before Abraham, long before Moses, long before Israel existed as a nation.
There is no sabbath law or sabbath command in the law of Noah, which refutes the SDA idea
that there was always a sabbath observance.

  1. Do Not Worship Idols: Prohibition on idolatry and recognizing any other god.
  2. Do Not Curse God: Prohibition on blasphemy.
  3. Do Not Commit Murder: Prohibition on taking a human life.
  4. Do Not Commit Sexual Immorality: Prohibits adultery, incest, bestiality, and other forbidden relationships.
  5. Do Not Steal: Prohibition on theft, robbery, or dishonest gain.
  6. Do Not Eat a Limb of a Living Animal: Prohibits cruelty to animals, specifically meat from an animal while it is still alive.
  7. Establish Courts of Law: The requirement to establish a legal system, courts, and ensure justice.
See vassal, no sabbath commandment in that covenant with Noah.

So easy.

Isa56:6 and when it started Exo20:11
Both Isaiah 56 and Exodus 20, refer to the old covenant between the Lord and Israel.

The Gentiles were never members of that old covenant.

A Gentile (Sojourner) could be circumcised and join Judaism.

Two of those three verses you quoted to support your claim are not relevant to the new covenant.

Only Israel, all the way through history had a sabbath commandment from the days of the Exodus.

You must establish;

1) The sabbath commandment is eternal

2) The sabbath commandment with a penalty was given to mankind

3) That Gentiles are under the law with penalties attached

4) You must explain how the new covenant includes the law

So your view is that God only wants "Jews" to join themselves to the LORD despite He saying everyone? Isa56:2 So He misspoke again and us humans have to correct Him....again. Despite He plainly saying do not add to My words Pro30:5-6 because we are not God.

So your view Jews can't do what the LORD calls evil, Neh13:17 Isa56:2 profaning God Eze22:26 idol worship Eze20:16 but Gentiles can do whatever they want. God has a different standard of righteousness for Jews than Gentiles and Gentiles can sin 1John3:4 James2:10-12 and do whatever they want despite the clear warnings by Jesus given to "whoever" Mat5:19-30 Luke6:46-48 which mean you and me and everyone else Mat5:19-30 In the New Heaven and New Earth- only Jews will be coming before the LORD for worship on the Sabbath, but Gentiles will be separated doing whatever they want, despite the LORD saying it will be for all flesh. Isa66:22-23. I think many sadly misunderstand God will never force anyone to worship Him and we are so opposed to keeping the Sabbath day holy now and worshipping Him on the only day He made holy He would never force anyone for all eternity. Why His Judgment is one of love.

Sad what people do to God's Word. He says it so plainly, the issue is not the He was not clear it is our harden heart just as those who came before us Heb3:7-19 we are told plainly not to follow in their same example of disobedience Heb4:11 over the same topic Eze20:13 Eze20:15-16

There are just two groups in the end- those saved and those lost. Those who are saved keep the commandments of God and faith of Jesus Rev14:12 and allow God to by God and live by His every Word Mat4:4 never looking for loopholes.

Guess it will get sorted out at His soon return, but according to Jesus those who do evil, stay so Rev22:11 and I personally would be very cautious of what our LORD plainly calls evil. Neh13:17 Isa56:2 Mark3:4

No takers?

Was Jesus under the law?
Were the people who Jesus ministered to under the law?
Did Jesus ever command any Gentile to keep any OT command?
1. Was Jesus under the law?
Yes, Jesus was under the law during His earthly life. Scripture makes it clear that He submitted to the Mosaic Law even though He was without sin. Here are three key Bible verses demonstrating this:

1. Galatians 4:4–5 (KJV)

“But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.”
  • Explanation: Paul explicitly states that Jesus was “made under the law,” meaning He fully subjected Himself to its requirements as part of His redemptive mission.

2. Matthew 5:17 (KJV)

“Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.”
  • Explanation: Jesus acknowledges the authority of the law and emphasizes that His mission was to fulfill it, not abolish it, indicating His obedience to it.

3. Luke 2:21 (KJV)

“And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called JESUS, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb.”
  • Explanation: Even as an infant, Jesus was circumcised according to the Law of Moses (Leviticus 12:3), showing His compliance with the law from the beginning of His life.

Summary:
Jesus’ entire earthly life was marked by obedience to the Mosaic Law—He lived under it, fulfilled its requirements perfectly, and even observed its ceremonial aspects. This obedience was necessary for His role as our sinless Redeemer.
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________

2. Were the people who Jesus ministered to under the law?
Yes, the people to whom Jesus ministered were under the Law of Moses. The Israelites were bound by the Mosaic Law until Christ fulfilled it. Here are three Bible verses proving this:

1. John 1:17 (KJV)

“For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.”
  • Explanation: This shows that the law was in effect before Jesus’ ministry, meaning the people He ministered to were under its authority.

2. Galatians 3:23 (KJV)

“But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.”
  • Explanation: Paul explains that prior to Christ, all were “kept under the law,” which includes the people during Jesus’ earthly ministry.

3. Matthew 5:17–18 (KJV)

“Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.”
  • Explanation: Jesus addressed the Jews directly and reaffirmed that they were under the law, emphasizing that it remained in force until He fulfilled it.

Summary:
The people Jesus ministered to were under the Mosaic Law, which governed their religious, moral, and civil life. Jesus’ teaching often clarified the true intent of the law and prepared them for the fulfillment of the law in Him.

If you like, I can also provide specific examples from the Gospels where Jesus interacted with people according to the Law to show their obedience and obligations. Do you want me to do that?

3. Did Jesus ever command any Gentile to keep any OT command?

No, Jesus never commanded any Gentile to keep Old Testament ceremonial or civil laws. His earthly ministry primarily addressed Israel, who were under the Mosaic Law. Gentiles were brought into covenant with God through faith in Him, not through adherence to the Law. Here are three Bible passages to support this:

1. Matthew 10:5–6 (KJV)

“These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”
  • Explanation: Jesus’ initial ministry and instructions were exclusively to the Israelites, who were under the Law. Gentiles were not commanded to follow the Mosaic Law.

2. Matthew 15:24 (KJV)

“But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”
  • Explanation: Jesus clarified that His mission during His earthly ministry was to Israel, reinforcing that His commands were within the context of the Law for God’s covenant people, not Gentiles.

3. Acts 10:34–35 (KJV)

“Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.”
  • Explanation: After Jesus’ resurrection, the Gospel was extended to Gentiles—not by obedience to the Law, but by faith, reverence, and righteous living. This shows Jesus did not command Gentiles to observe OT laws.

Summary:
Jesus commanded OT law obedience only to the Israelites. Gentiles are called to faith in Him and to obey the law of Christ (love God and neighbor), not the Mosaic ceremonial or civil law.

4. Is it okay for Gentiles to sin and be disobedient to God by not keeping God's Commandments ?
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

4. Is it okay for Gentiles to sin and be disobedient to God by not keeping God's Commandments ?
No, it is not okay for Gentiles—or anyone—to sin and be disobedient to God by ignoring His commandments, according to Scripture. While Gentiles were not under the Mosaic ceremonial law, God’s moral law is universal and binding on all humanity. Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, but true faith always results in obedience. Sin and deliberate disobedience are incompatible with genuine faith.

Here are key Bible points with references:

1. Gentiles are accountable to God’s moral law

Romans 2:14–15 (KJV)

“For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves… Their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another.”
  • Even without the Mosaic law, Gentiles are morally accountable; God’s law is written on their hearts.

2. Faith produces obedience

James 2:17 (KJV)

“Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.”
  • Genuine faith in God—even for Gentiles—must result in obedience; disobedience shows a lack of true faith.

3. God’s moral standards apply universally

Romans 3:23 (KJV)

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
1 John 3:4 (KJV)

“Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.”
  • Sin is universally defined as transgression of God’s law; all humans, Jew or Gentile, are responsible.

4. Summary

  • Gentiles are not excused from sin by not having the Mosaic law.
  • Faith in Christ saves, but obedience is the natural evidence of that faith.
  • Deliberate sin and disobedience demonstrate a lack of genuine conversion.

Here is a Scripture-based comparison of Israelites and Gentiles regarding law, faith, and obedience.

Israelites

  • The Israelites were under the Mosaic Law, which included moral, ceremonial, and civil commands.
  • They were commanded to obey God as a condition of covenant relationship:
    • Exodus 19:5 (KJV): “Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people.”
  • Jesus reaffirmed the necessity of obedience for Israel:
    • Matthew 5:17–18 (KJV): “Think not that I am come to destroy the law… I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.”
  • Faith and obedience were inseparable:
    • James 2:21–22 (KJV): “Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son? Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?”

Gentiles

  • Gentiles were not under the Mosaic ceremonial law, but God’s moral law was written on their hearts:
    • Romans 2:14–15 (KJV): “For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law… their conscience also bearing witness.”
  • Faith in God alone is the means of salvation for Gentiles, but genuine faith still produces obedience:
    • James 2:17 (KJV): “Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.”
  • Gentiles are morally accountable to God’s law:
    • Romans 3:23 (KJV): “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
    • 1 John 3:4 (KJV): “Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.”

Key Principle for Both

  • Faith without obedience is incomplete (James 2:14–26).
  • Obedience is the fruit of faith, not a means to earn salvation.
  • Deliberate sin or disobedience, whether Jew or Gentile, demonstrates a lack of genuine faith.

Gentiles and Israelites are brought into covenant obedience through faith in Christ, illustrating how obedience flows naturally from faith:

1. Israelites and the Law

The Israelites were given the Mosaic Law as part of God’s covenant:

  • Exodus 19:5 (KJV): “Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people.”
  • God required obedience as evidence of their faith. Through the Law, they learned the character of God and the nature of sin.
When Christ came, He reaffirmed the Law but also revealed its deeper meaning:

  • Matthew 5:17–18 (KJV): “Think not that I am come to destroy the law… I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.”
  • Faith in Christ did not abolish obedience; it perfected it through His example and atonement.
Example: Abraham’s faith was counted as righteousness, but his works—his obedience—completed and manifested that faith (James 2:21–22).

2. Gentiles and Moral Responsibility

Gentiles were not under the ceremonial Law of Moses, but God’s moral standards were universal:

  • Romans 2:14–15 (KJV): “For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law… their conscience also bearing witness.”
  • God’s moral law is written on the heart; Gentiles are accountable and can respond in faith.
Through Christ, Gentiles receive salvation by faith, and obedience becomes a natural outflow:

  • Romans 3:22–24 (KJV): “…even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe… being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.”
  • Faith does not excuse disobedience; instead, it produces the fruit of obedience: love for God and neighbor.

3. Faith Produces Obedience in Both

For both Israelites and Gentiles:

  1. Faith in God’s promises brings salvation (Abraham, Romans 4:3).
  2. Obedience naturally flows from faith—not as a requirement to earn salvation, but as the evidence of true conversion.
  3. Disobedience reveals lack of genuine faith (James 2:17, 26).
  • 1 John 3:18–19 (KJV): “My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth… hereby shall we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.”

Narrative Summary

  • Israelites: Faith + obedience through the Law → prepared for the Messiah.
  • Gentiles: Faith in Christ → obedience as the fruit of faith, guided by God’s moral law written in the heart.
  • Both groups demonstrate the same principle: genuine faith in God’s righteousness produces obedience, which glorifies God and evidences true conversion.

You’re trying to merge the ten commandments into a universal moral law so that you can sneak the sabbath in the back door for gentiles. You still can’t distinguish between the Son’s commandments and the Father’s commandments. You use the phrase “God’s commandments” to avoid the fact that Jesus followed the Father’s commandments and we are to follow the Son’s commandments.

Y'all are ignoring the fact that Jesus kept His Father's Moral Law, God's 10 Commandments PERFECTLY, to be the "Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world" our Savior ... Our character's imitation of Jesus and His Righteousness is our highest Praise, Worship & Glory to the Father.
Necessary for Salvation.
Rev. 14:7

Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

It ain't me! It's the Word of God As those posts proved, Biblically! The Sabbath is part of the Moral Law, being sinful if you don't keep it.

We are not called to imitate Jesus in His actions. We are not called to flip tables. We are not called to make wine and multiply fish. Quit trying to imitate what He did. We are called to love. That’s it. Simple.

You use the phrase “God’s commandments” to avoid the fact that Jesus followed the Father’s commandments and we are to follow the Son’s commandments.
It seems you don't understand the difference between the Mosaic ceremonial &civil law, & God's Moral Law , ... as my post explained !

It ain't me! It's the Word of God As those posts proved, Biblically! The Sabbath is part of the Moral Law, being sinful if you don't keep it.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
For the 20th time. There is no scripture that ever says gentiles were or are under the Mosaic law. The is no scripture that ever says gentiles we’re commanded to keep the sabbath.

It seems you don’t understand that the law was the law. Quit trying to break into parts so you only have to follow the parts you want.

We are not called to imitate Jesus in His actions. We are not called to flip tables. We are not called to make wine and multiply fish. Quit trying to imitate what He did. We are called to love. That’s it. Simple.
We are called to Love, .. God and Our Neighbors .. HOW ? by loving God by meeting Him on Sabbath, not taking His Name in vain, ETC
We are called to Love our Neighbors .. HOW? ..by not lying, stealing, adultery, coveting, ETC .. The 10 Commandment!

No. We are not. Who are you meeting on Saturday whom you aren’t talking to the rest of the week. Do you only worship one day a week? Do you not have His Spirit living inside you. Are you one of those people that believes God only lives in church buildings? Are you still having to go to the temple to worship?

We are called just to love. Maybe you just don’t understand love so you are still clinging on to a stone instruction manual.
