I thought maybe you meant John the Baptist.
I can't find 'cut to the heart' in John 6.
which verse are you looking at?
Did you find the work and will of GOD in Hohn 6?
i did also mean John the baptism when he told those who believed what should we do...the scripture where he told the man with teo coats to give one away and the tax collector not to collect anymore than what was his due
Let me give him some references to feed off of: The answer, Dan_473, to miknik5's question is: found in John 6:29. "The work of God is this: To believe in the One He has sent.
It begins with God's call. We could never even begin to seek God unless he had already found us. The whole initiative is with him; the ground and the moving cause of the whole matter is his seeking love.
It develops in our effort. The Christian is not called to dream, but to fight; not to stand still, but to climb. He is called not only to the greatest privilege but also to the greatest task in the world.
This effort is helped continually by two things:
1). It is helped by the teaching, guidance and example of godly men. God speaks to us through those to whom he has already spoken. "A saint," as someone has said, "is a person who makes it easier for others to believe in God." And there are some who help us, not by anything they say or write, but simply by being what they are, men whom to meet is to meet God.
2). It is helped by God himself We are never left to fight and toil alone. He who gives us the task also gives us the strength to do it; more, he actually does it with us. We are not thrown into the battle to meet it with the puny resources we can bring to it. At the back of us and beside us there is God. When Paul was up against it in Corinth, he had a vision by night in which the Lord said to him, "Do not be afraid...for I am with You" (Acts 18:9-10). They that are for us are always more than they that are against us.
This call and this effort are designed to produce two things:
1). They are designed to produce consecration on earth. Literally in Greek a thing which is consecrated is set apart for God. They are meant to set us apart in such a way that God can use us for his service. The result is that a man's life no longer belongs to him to do with it as he likes; it belongs to God for him to use as he likes.
2). They are designed to produce salvation in heaven. The Christian life does not end with time; its goal is eternity. The Christian can regard his present affliction as a light thing in comparison with the glory that shall be.
It would be more beneficial to first understand why a person can't love In spirit and TRUTH first.
Before JESUS died on the cross on our behalf,men were under the law and men were purifying the outward man but they were not able to purify the Inward man.GOD desires righteousness and wanted man to be pure In TRUTH.The children of Israel would try to keep the law by doing what the law said but they weren't sincere ,In other words,what they did didn't match theire hearts.
When JESUS came to earth HE magnified the law to the Spirit,(If any man look upon a women to lust he has committed adultery In his heart)
No one can be righteous before GOD except JeSUS.
So then If a person Is not In CHRIST then they are under law and already condemned.
So then the example would be a person under law and on their own were to have one sinful thought ,they would be disqualified. GOD will only accept perfection.

I was looking at post#609 and I was wondering what Is your Interpretation on those verses In Matthew 7:22-23 .I mean how would a person be able to prophesy,cast out demons and do many miracles In JESUS name If GOD was not with them?

do you think that maybe they are aware that they can't follow the law perfectly yet because of their present blindness this is what keeps them from calling out to HIM
and why they can't call out to HIM?

Are you saying we are not "Jars of Clay" (in Him)? For we are still weak in Him, but it is our emergence of our New Man and miraculous emergence with Christ as our life that we are weak but He is strong; therefore we are strong in as much as we remain in Him, even in our weakness. The Jars of Clay represents our need to be pliable and humble to God, and the point of His Lordship and Majesty in being the contrast to our weakness, as well as the creator of our holiness, while keeping all of our personality in Him in distinction. This, however, is not weakness in sins. Rather weakness in our mortality and ephemerality, and our limitations as humans.

Romans 7 says it is indeed sin that lives in us
that we dont always do the good that we want to do
a clay pot has no input in the potters work
The clay just allows the potter to work and really the work that we (the clay jars) has to learn to do is to be still and know that HE is God...trusting by faith in HIM that HE who began the good work will complete it
i do agree that when we are weak than we are strong. That we can do all things by CHRIST who strengthens us
But it is in the pruning and the discipline that we come to this revelation that we have to wait on HIM and persevere by our hope and our faith in HIM

Being disciplined and laundered and pruned and refined is not a pleasant work

It seems that some people can't see that fact. I have posted it many times, yet it seems that it is over looked every time.
I take it you have read all my post, or you would know I never said the LAw can save any one.
It seems that some wish to over the fact that I have posted the following many times.
Salvation comes by Faith, followed by obedience. SO I have no clue what is wrong with some people.

When is the day of our salvation....or when was it i would say...I like Psalm 118:24...which says This is the day our lord has made. let us rejoice and be glad in it.. What kills me is when people use that Psalm just to say we use that everyday without the true context of salvation. Psalm 118 is of our salvation....Powerful stuff i would say.

what kills me is those who claim to love their neighbor as their own soul yet lie and declare peace..peace...
and then cones (the day of) destruction.
