.the gingerbread party last week was awesome. Lots of people and children loading up houses with frosting and candy.

Making plates of cookies and truffles for gifts. I got 5 made up....gotta assemble 5 more tonight.
Then tomorrow night is the SS party and Saturday is the Family party.

Almost all is over. I got three breads to make tomorrow and a pot of soup to vacuum seal. Then the meat and cheese trays, the cookie trays and the truffles put into candy dishes.

8 kinds of cookies
9 kinds of truffles....

LOTS of pieces and parts.

Well....if it don't look right try again but this time drink a lot of beer and see if it comes out right. Sometimes a little adult beverages can make things easier and more straight.
Sounds like a music project somebody made one time. It sounded like jazz, but all the instruments were out of time with each other.

I commented on the timing and he said he wanted to capture the feel of being drunk in New Orleans at 3:00 a.m. He claimed if you drink enough while listening to it, the timing clears up.

No , that's just how jazz sounds 😞 it's called a cacophony .

For the latest 1.5 years I have been working on my spiritual life, taking more time for prayers and Bible reading. It was then I decided to get 1h earlier up each morning so I would have more time with the Lord. And more than anything, God is working on me rather than me working on myself.

My favorite promise is Phil 1:6: He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.

I've been working on a surprise litter my doggie had, they're Chiweenies. Born on 10/19 I've learned how to make gruel (puppy food), and tend to their needs. I dedicated them to the Lord on 10/24 my journal says and the first two went to ideal families. Have two left and they may be gone by Wednesday🙏🙌 Quite an eventful holiday season as I had pneumonia on Thanksgiving also. Thank God my son was visiting friends and covered for me. I was out the next evening and I must say they at the hospital knew I was a Christian. I forgot to turn down the volume on my phone and 'Our God is a Mighty God' kept sounding off, lol.

I've been putting together wood stools and installing a security system this afternoon. The CarriePie of all trades 😂

Sounds like I'm equipping a bar lol

My cell phone, until disaster happened.

I recently damage my phone's existing screen pretty badly. I ordered a replacement LCD display touch screen digitizer assembly kit. Last night, I was doing the meticulous work of removing the back and all the tiny screws and I disconnected all the intricate parts, etc. I was doing this task slowly and carefully. It was taking a while, but it was going well. Once I was getting to the end stages of my disassembly, I went to remove the battery. This part ended up going terribly. As I was removing it, it burst into flames. I quickly cast it aside. I had drinking water next to me that I threw on it. It looked like an angry piece of space junk. I hurried and got more water. I kept pouring water on it. Toxic fumes were burning my eyes and the house was filling up with smoke. I hurried and opened the door, then I turned the fan on high and pointed it towards the door. I went outside for a while as I let the house clear of fumes and smoke. After a while, I brought the charred remains outside and poured more water on it, just in case.

So, if you take it upon yourself to replace your existing cell phone screen folks, be extra, extra careful with the battery removal!

Btw, a dear friend surprised me with a new phone this afternoon. It will arrive tomorrow! I'm very thankful, and also thankful I wasn't injured and the house didn't burn down! The Lord has blessed me 🙏

His loving kindness is around us all. I praise Him for protecting you. May He always keep you close and in His constant care. amen.

Holy cow, what a scary experience! I'm just glad you weren't hurt!

I don't have the skill or knowledge to tinker with my electronics, and I'm pretty sure reading this story is a reminder that I should never try! 😂

Glad you are safe and that things worked out in the end. ❤️ What an amazing friend to bless you with a phone!

Thank you so much! ❤️

I've successfully replaced a screen in a laptop, so I guess I thought I could take on a cell phone lol. I think I would have too, if not for the angry battery. I was reading up on cell phone batteries. It could be that when I had my accident that busted up the existing screen of my phone, it could have also damaged the internal structure of the phone's battery. I also read a post by the Fire Safety Research Institute that says that in 2024 alone, 586 people were injured and 104 lost their lives due to incidents with cell phone batteries.

Of course, there is also the possibility that the Whangdoodles are trying to off me by shooting their laser at my phone battery causing it to ignite. Unfortunately for them, it didn't explode! 💣😂

You can't always be too careful when disassembling tiny things. Sometimes you gotta leave some tabs broken and a few screws loose. Makes it easier to disassemble again and again.
I've never had a battery blow up on me, as haphazardly as I've always handled them.
When I first installed the solar-charged battery in my car, I didn't bother checking if the panel had proper overcharge protection before I permanently assembled it together. So for a few days, I practically had a shrodingers bomb between the front seats of my car. (Don't tell Magenta that)
It did turn out to have proper protection anyway, determined over the course of months of observation.

Lately, I bricked the LTE modem on my laptop by flashing a bad firmware, and the pcie card it's on happens to not have the two jumper solder-pins that make it easy to reboot the modem into emergency mode. So I've had to do some awkward thing, shoving a little wire under the modems CPU to jump it to a far-away data rail, having to stretch my fingers to keep the wire pressed down while turning the laptop on at the same time.

Then the emergency mode seems to have some proprietary way of being interfaced with that I still haven't figured out for my OS.
So, currently my laptop is sitting disassembled in another room, likely to be its final resting place, since Jesus tells me He's going to be here before I'm able to do anything about it.

But that laptop was how I was recording something I was going to show people here. The day it broke, I decided I had to improvise (The USB capture card I was using wasn't very good anyways). So I got a nifty pocket-sized all-in-1 capture device to record everything instead, which just arrived yesterday:
DIGITNOW-iRecord.jpg
No, analog cables are never obsolite. I will gladly convert a purely digital stream to analog and back to digital again, because fidelity is just a fad when fine details are easy to discern anyways.
Anyways, since this device was so old (It was vaccum sealed brand-new, but must've been manufactured decades ago) whatever kind of weird chemical they used to make plastic feel 'soft' back in those days shedded itself off and is now just a sticky film on almost the whole device. I'll wipe it down with a stong solvent when I get the oppertunity.

today, i'm working on purchasing antiques up in wells n.y. enjoy the blessed day from Jesus everyone.
