If I have made the impression that I was/am a perfect person, I apologise. Writing up the affidavit has been enlightening as to my part in this. However, I didn't put my husband into pornography, I didn't get him the dating sites, and I most certainly didn't file nor tell him to file for a divorce. I didn't push him away, he pushed me away, even after I apologized for my mistakes.
Yes I hurt and have been deeply deeply scarred. But I am trying to have hope for the future and I am trying to have dreams of good things. Am I allowed to work in some kind of service? Am I allowed to eventually remarry (although I don't really think that I want to at this point)?
I love the Lord and I want to be useful to Him. But I feel like a marked woman. If this means that the only way I can serve is to scrub the church toilets and raise my kids, then I would like to know.
I really appreciate all your prayers. It's probably going to seem stupid but I'm still praying that he will repent and reconcile and dissolve the divorce. Highly unlikely, I know that but it's been my prayer.
In Psalm 139:16 we are told that God wrote the book of our life before we were born. We are given all of our gifts, talents and abilities given to bring Him Honor and Glory. So we need to continue to work on becoming the person He created us to be. We can do what He tells us we can do and we can become the person He intended for us to be. This is the way He sees us. He is not mad at us for messing up He just wants to get us back on track again. He wants to encourage us and give us hope and a future. "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

If ever there was a time of hope it is now that we are in the new year. 2020 is to be a year of perfect vision when we can enter into all of what God has prepared and intended for us to enter into.

Totally on board with this.(y)
But don't settle for anything less than a life transforming born again salvation experience. He's gotten himself in deep and even if he comes back he's going to stay the way he is unless he gets transformed from within by being born again.

Regardless, pornography is still lust of the flesh. It’s just not adultery, as many would argue.
No, it's adultery.
The imagination is a very powerful thing.
A man (or woman) who's been with another person in their mind, especially to orgasm, has indeed committed adultery.
The consequences just aren't as bad for adultery in the mind. But surely no less hurtful for the person on the losing end.

............. You out here defending a cheater good stuff hey. Unbelivable.

It doesnt matter WHAT the wife has done or NOT DONE, it does not excuse ADULTERY or CHEATING on someone. But hey, aint you a catholic? That goes with the territory I guess. We already know what your priests are about.
I'm sure you're aware human anger does not produce the righteousness of God.

Thanks for the suggestion, but my question is what restrictions are divorced women under in service to God? Especially if the women aren't at fault?
None whatsoever, other than the restrictions which God has placed on ALL Christian women.

Women are forbidden to preach, teach, or have any spiritual leadership within the lical church (the assembly). They are commanded to maintain silence during Christian worship (which of course has nothing to do with singing psalms, and hymns, and spiritual songs).

Older women can teach the younger women.

It could be that's all. But I think it's a nation that allows Astrology, Idolatry, abortion and has laws to protect homosexuals, Islam and Satanists... The true Christians of that nation will be raptured and the rest will get blown away at the sound of the 7th trumpet somewhere midpoint of the trib. The world will never notice we are missing and the Devil will have a free hand.

Riiiight... because it says so clearly in 1 Speculations 2:9.

So we can just demand that the female preachers sing their sermons in rhyming verse. Problem solved!
