What a crazy time, I am so thankful for neighbors who helped me dig out.
It is nice to see people care and look out for each other.

What happen? Either a sandstorm or a forest fire? It was very windy here where I live in NE Tennessee a few days ago. Blew the neighbor's tree down and damaged her roof slightly and did a number on the gutters.Super windy. I mean, it's almost always windy in Oklahoma, but it's super windy today. Wind speed here as been around 30mph, with up to 60mph gusts. My electric blew and was out for about 2 hours.
Besides being in a high wind warning, we are in a red flag warning. The air has been smoky today.
Oklahoma, you're a crazy place, but I luv ya.
Here is a view from a different part of the state. Visibility is lousy...

PS, I downloaded it and put it as a screen background... Thank you.Now that seems foolhardy > Perhaps I am off on the subject. God bless the plane and all in it, amen.

The only time I have ever experienced a dust storm was in 1964, Altus AFB, Oklahoma.. It was quite exciting, but then the weather in Oklahoma always is.... God bless that weatherman, God bless you.
Here in England we r slowly moving into spring . Spring and autumn r my favourite seasons . Weather is all in the eye of the beholder , I discovered that a few weeks ago . My husband and I were walking from our house to his mother's , about a 40 minute walk . It was early morning and it had rained the previous night ( we live in the centre of a town ) , the pavements were all wet and shiny , so we're the big windows of the shops , the birds were singing loud and proud . There was no wind at all and the air was cool and fresh but not cold . Hardly any traffic that early so there weren't many car fumes . The sky was very blue and there were a lot of big fluffy white clouds which the sun kept dipping behind and then poking through . We had just remarked that it was a perfect morning for a stroll together . Literally five seconds later , a friend of ours pulled up next to us on his bicycle , he has some mental health problems , he is also one of the kindest people we know . His first words to us were : Hi , how r u doing ? Isn't it a bleak day ? We didn't know how to respond . He then proceeded to tell us all the things that were getting him down that day and we just listened . As he rode away after about 20 mins , we were both so sad for him . He couldn't take any joy from the lovely spring morning , I'm not sure he even noticed how nice it was . And we , we were so shallow that we forgot that some people need more than a bit of nice weather to feel happy .
Tell me about; I live in Southern California, where they say we have the best weather all year round (Hawaii is probably better) and we have a giant mentally ill, homeless and drug addicted population, which I have been all three in different portions of my life.
Even with all the beauty we have here, there is a thorn in almost every citizens side.

It is very sad to hear this, having been raised in Long Beach. I have realized for so long now the many places I have been fond of, I cannot revisit for fear of how they have developed.Tell me about; I live in Southern California, where they say we have the best weather all year round (Hawaii is probably better) and we have a giant mentally ill, homeless and drug addicted population, which I have been all three in different portions of my life.
