◄*Ephesians 6:12

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand
in the evil day, and*having done all, to stand firm.*..

we can never defeat wicked spiritual forces in our own power.....worse, some have fallen and cannot get up...kicking those who are already down and telling them to apply the word without helping to hold up those aching arms...failing to stand beside and help....is akin to leaving wounded on the battlefield for the enemy to desecrate

Are you making a stand to enter in close and battle on behalf of your nation and your brothers and sisters?

The days are shorter. ..don't be a part of the fading light...praise and worship God in the beauty of His holiness ...

I am one of those wounded soldiers of Christ, I have been on the battle field in this spiritual war and even now am in the midst of an intense battle with satan, I come on here to cc not to bring down but to lift up. Far to often I have seen fellow comrades in arms fighting and attacking and bringing down each other in this war between Good and evil God and satan flesh and spirit in the bdf alone, I often times will try to still the waters remind everyone who we are what we are called to be who we are at war with, a house divided against itself cannot stand and if an army is quarreling and fighting each other in the midst of an all out war they will be overcome swiftly and harshly.

I don't think we all realize that we are at war that this isn't a practice drill and that time is much shorter than we think it to be, a time is coming and is at the door when sudden destruction will come upon this nation when our hearts will truly be put to the test when everything we believe in everything we claim to be claim to love claim to believe will be put through the fire and if our hearts are not prepared none of us will stand.

In fact this song is the perfect sign of what is coming as if God is giving a clear warning Listen to it and act as if it's God speaking to you https://youtu.be/eE6uZJGp0VA if the link doesn't work let me know I am not used to linking things

Notice Paul's describing armament designed for defense, not offensive action. We should stand firm, and let Christ do the fighting. The socalled 'spiritual warfare' can only be defensive in nature, for indeed we ourselves aren't able to take offensive action against the Evil One.

Yes Blain...I have seen you take that stand for Christ

I am very reticent about sharing what I believe the Spirit of God may be sharing...its so easy to say Gold told me this or that...but I have felt for such a long time the warnings in my spirit of things to come

So I dont readily share the following but I'll just put it out there and folks can decide whether or not God has made them aware of the times...although I think that some things are being shouted out

I saw as though a person...But as the Holy Spirit standing on a cliff facing out to sea with the wind blowing towards land. He was saying..I see many ships coming with their sails unfurled and they are enemy ships.

Now this is not literal ... but the moment presses upon me and I am grieved...time to take up the armor instead
if trying to find chinks in everyone elses

This does not need interpretation and I am not a prophet...but the Lord will impress upon me through images like this and I find no reason to doubt the truth of it...considering
the physical world stage right now

But I take no offense for anyone who disagrees

Prayer is available as a weapon of choice with thanksgiving and praise...these are spiritual forces using the physical and only God in His mercy can cause the wind to blow the other direction

I would understand the very act of putting Armor on as offensive..

None the less, notice we are exhorted to stand AFTER we have done all we can...the battle is the Lords...our part is take up our spiritual weapons, ...AFTER we are protected by our spiritual armor

Fair enough, but that's not what Paul's describing here, there's no mention of offensive action being undertaken. We should be able to take a stand, whatever the Evil One throws at us:

[SUP]10 [/SUP]Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. [SUP]11 [/SUP]Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. [SUP]12 [/SUP]For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. [SUP]13 [/SUP]Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. [SUP]14 [/SUP]Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, [SUP]15 [/SUP]and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. [SUP]16 [/SUP]In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. [SUP]17 [/SUP]Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Interestingly enough he omits the pila (throwing spears) though he's clearly describing the armour of a roman soldier. With those pila legionaries initiated the attack against an enemy.

Do you pray for the current world situation?

Do you grieve over the current cold love so many Christians display?

THAT is the gist of my post

Take action brother....we don't all need constant correction...we should become like little children and not all fancy ourselves a teacher. ..most of would do far bettef to sit on Father God's knee and just be quiet for awhile....I never tell another what I don't say to myself first

Thank you

One more thing as you have missed it....the standing is ONLY DONE AFTER WE HAVE DONE ALL WE CAN

caps are for emphasis
Further...PUT ON armor is not something you can do from a sitting position...and we stand which alone is a verb suggesting one who has accomplished a goal and now defends it..ie. take a stand

But God and I are workin on me :)

In other words
Still crawlin in mistaks I make....
But Jesus loves me so much

The whole book of Ephesians talks about the Christian life...1st part = sitting with Christ...middle = is walking in Christ = last is standing in Christ

We start out complete in Christ and then walk that out. How well we walk in this earth below worthy of our high calling in Christ is determined by how well we sit in the finished work of Christ.

You have to know that you are complete in Christ, you are blessed with every blessing, all your sins are forgiven in Christ according to the riches of God's grace.

Then we walk out of who we already are in Christ
. You are not working to become. You have become. We are walking out of identity in Christ.

Cool.....I like the idea of the "group shielding" ....

there is also the "lance" ( I heard one bible teacher call it that ) of prayer in the spirit while we are standing..or "turtling "..in Eph 6;18

The interesting progression Paul laid out Ephesians is that we first SIT!!
Speaks of learning to rest in His finished work. Eph chap 1-3 esp ch2:6

Once established, we then learn to WALK including our relationship with others.chaps 4-5:9

Then we go on to STAND in battle fully armed and armored. Chap 6:10-20

Standing is essential along with the unity of the spirit. Matthew has another key for our victory agreement! Matthew 18:19. This is very important! Knowing the will of God asking that His will be established here on earth and agreeing it shall be. Now mix that with Faith and we have a changed world.
