I am not sure the point you are trying to make. Forgiving other people is the beginning
of healing, another aspect is admiting you actually got hurt, and why you got hurt, and how
much was ones own fault.
A lot of hurts are because rather than the other party did something wrong, our ego or
wrong perception of ourselves was brought down to earth with a bang.

Jim, we can end up in two different points.
Like I can forgive my dad for not being there for me at all, and never communicating
or making contact. But the damage that caused in my heart and life and development was
devastating. Dads add a unique part to how we grow and develop, which can be made up
in later life, but it is part of our we grow in our identity and so much grows or fails to grow
depending on how we relate.
So forgiveness is about the desire for revenge, or getting back at someone, but what the
causes are and its effects can leave us disabled. I have read of stories of people filled with
the Holy Spirit but holding deep wounds which the Lord desires to reach and touch, but some
cannot even admit to them. I used to dream about my dad and have conversations with him
about things we never talked about in real life. But my Dad was Gods deputy, and now I can
speak to my eternal Father, and speak to words of need and find my heart healed and met.

completely lost me peter but all good for you i wished i was unlucky no to have that relation ship with my earthly father .. deep hurt for me,,,

Jim, what I learnt is we all need this contact with authority, and to know we are loved
and understood and we have nothing to prove before God. I always wanted to explain
myself as if I would not be understood otherwise. This is compensation for a lack of
a father relationship.

I think many invent issues, which they desire to force a debt and resolution of an invented
problem, which obviously I can not do, else I would be reinforcing the idea there is an issue
or even intention of harm.
I learnt through dealing with mentally ill patients, it is important not to reinforce their delusions
but just point out what is reality.
And a reality is, a statement of faith is not an insult, or repeating what someone has stated and
making reasonable observations. But some are so intentionally antagonistic they want to change
everything into a conflict. I simply refuse. I will forgive and ignore, blessing where there is nothing
else.

It's not the goody shoes that gets him in trouble...it's the projection of his strawmen that don't actually display their reality and tends to be insulting....
People don't want to be personal on this forum...they want to discuss the Bible....I have found the testimony or prayer forum is for personal type relating with folks.

I disowned my earthly father when I was 5 years old. I accepted God as my Heavenly Father when I was 3 years old.
I never lacked for an authority figure. God is the best Father ever.
We can't make excuses for our sins. (life treated us poorly,we didn't have good fathers, etc)
We admit we were wrong and learn how to be right with God.
