I've read somewhere...a husband of one wife, not a wife of one husband.

A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
(1Ti 3:2)

If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly.
(Tit 1:6)

(oh, and then there is the cultural crowd).
...butPaul takes us back before culture right to the Garden itself...

Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
(1Ti 2:11-14)

LOL You can ask a 100 people the same question about the bible and get 100 different answers plus they all think they know the bible well. You assume all women want to be masculine...I do not want to be masculine

All it takes is a study back in the original Greek, and to look into early church history records and one would see the usage and the deceptions done in the church to try and cover up women as apostles, preachers, leaders, deacons, and so on in the church. Even Apostle Paul acknowledges some of them as I mentioned in the previous post.

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no
male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." Gal. 3:28
It is almost humorous to watch people quote Paul's writings as proof texts to
refute Paul's writings; viz: Paul vs Paul. (chuckle) The battle of the titans;
except that in this case, the titans competing against each other are both
Paul.

What I'm saying is: the apostle of Jesus Christ who wrote Gal 3:28 is also
the apostle of Jesus Christ who wrote the passages below:

†. 1Cor 11:3 . . But I would have you know, that the head of every man is
Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is
God.

†. 1Cor 11:7-9 . . For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch
as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.
For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man. Neither was
the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.

†. 1Tim 2:11-13 . . Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I
suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be
in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve.

†. 1Cor 14:34-35 . . Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is
not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under
obedience, as also saith the law. And if they will learn anything, let them ask
their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

One of Paul's reasons for prohibiting woman church officers is that they are
susceptible to deception.

†. 1Tim 2:14 . . And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who
was deceived and became a sinner.

According to 1Cor 14:37 and 1Ths 4:1-2, Paul's instructions are Christ's
instructions. Obviously then, any woman who thinks Christ approves of
female pastors has been deceived, and no doubt busy going about deceiving
others.

I will give you one example;

Romans 16:1
I commend to you our sister Phoebe, who is a deacon in the church in Cenchrea.

Here we have the actually translation usage from the Greek word
" diakonon ", which is deacon. Other translations have this as servant which is not the correct translation, and we know a deacon is a leader in their church.

dea·con
ˈdēkən/
noun

  • 1.
    (in Catholic, Anglican, and Orthodox churches) an ordained minister of an order ranking below that of priest.

    •

verb

  • 1.
    appoint or ordain as a deacon.

Who was the first to see Jesus resurrected? Mary Should she have not told anyone? Seems like she was the first to spread the gospel. Was it okay because she only mentioned it and didn't preach it? Was she witnessing but not teaching it?

What is the cutoff? How many people? The sex of the listeners? Should Mary not have said anything? What if she didn't have a husband to tell? Should she have told a married friend so the friend could tell the men?

I'm not being snarky just wondering.......did she do wrongly?

Is there an example in the Old Testament law where God ordained a woman to rule and judge men?
