I see it as one of these moments at times:

James 1:2-4
New King James Version (NKJV)
2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

the other forums tend to be less.....intense....and patience testing ;)
Your thoughts on Amil?

A problem that I have with Amillennialism is that it pulls scripture out of context and then attempts to piece them together again in order to paint a picture according to their own desired doctrine rather than letting scripture speak for itself in it's intended context.

While I will agree that there is no longer a distinction between Jew and Gentile in the current age, there are various prophetic passages in the Old and New Testaments that allude a rebuilding of the nation of Israel in the last days. Zephaniah chapter 3 alludes to a restoration of the nation of Israel where God will restore the ancient Hebrew language to the people. Some feel that this prophecy refers to the restoration of Israel after the Babylonian exile. The problem with this theory is that when the exiles returned return from Babylon the national language became Aramaic. Even Jesus himself spoke Aramaic.

The restoration of the Hebrew language did not occur until the restoration of the nation of Israel in the 20th century which leads me to believe that God is not finished with Israel as a nation, whatever that might be.

lol. just trying to smooth a few feathers.

Amil?

Whether Jesus comes back and reigns for a 1000 years or not literally doesn't really matter to me as long as I get to spend eternity with Him.

Jesus established His Heavenly Kingdom upon finishing His work on the cross and cast out Satan and his angels from Heaven. Now the war is being waged for the Earth and the souls of men. Eventually God's mercy and grace will turn into Wrath and Judgment upon the murderers of His people and then we will have the Second Advent and Judgment day.

I guess it all hinges on what people understand about the word "TODAY"?

Hebrews 4:6-8
New King James Version (NKJV)
6 Since therefore it remains that some must enter it, and those to whom it was first preached did not enter because of disobedience, 7 again He designates a certain day, saying in David, “Today,” after such a long time, as it has been said:

“ Today, if you will hear His voice,
Do not harden your hearts.”[a]

8 For if Joshua had given them rest, then He would not afterward have spoken of another day.

also what you believe "it" is in the above text.

why would Hebrew be considered more holy then Aramaic? Since Jesus spoke Aramaic I don't really get it.

this part of the prophecy would be nice to witness... no liars in the whole nation,

nope can't say I've seen that in a Carnal nation but you know the whole Jesus kingdom is a SPIRITUAL kingdom and all might explain that....

Zephaniah 3
12 I will leave in your midst
A meek and humble people,
And they shall trust in the name of the LORD.
13 The remnant of Israel shall do no unrighteousness
And speak no lies,
Nor shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth;

For they shall feed their flocks and lie down,
And no one shall make them afraid.”

here lets let Scripture speak for itself.....

Romans 11:23-25
New King James Version (NKJV)
23 And they also, if they do not continue in unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. 24 For if you were cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and were grafted contrary to nature into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, who are natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?
25 For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.

Revelations 11
13 In the same hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. In the earthquake seven thousand people were killed, and the rest were afraid and gave glory to the God of heaven.

lol didn't really answer your question Doc.

I believe "today" to mean this present age when people are added daily to the church and 1000 years to be symbolic of "today" or the completeness of God's plan of redemption for His people who consist of both Jews and Gentiles, natural and wild branches grafted in only IF they believe in the salvation through Jesus Christ message. That God's Rest refers to Heaven and that our works will be done upon our death and if we abide in Christ and walk in the good works He made and saved us to do.

I believe Satan himself is bound and that much of Revelations was fulfilled in the first century during the reign of Nero and that Revelations 20 where Satan was bound happened in 70 AD and that now the saints are in Heaven judging the world upon death. Judgement DAY is not just ONE day as humans understand it but an age of cosmic history.

I do not believe in the 1000 years are literal because then you could calculate when Jesus would return according to a little math and that is not what the Bible says because not even the Angels know the timing of the second Advent.

Why is there evil in the world? when does it say that the fallen angels were bound with Satan?

what happens when the mafia boss goes to jail? does the mob fall apart? do they stop selling drugs? Or do they break up into smaller factions that fight amongst each other for power and control?

what happens when a mob boss returns and brings the factions back under one leadership?

the whole 10 kings who reign with the beast thing?

What has been fulfilled in Revelations and what has not? I'm not sure have all the seven seals been opened?

How can you read a scroll unless the seals are first opened?

I have no idea either, however I do not think it is coincidence that Hebrew has been restored. From what I have heard from a personal friend that is a messianic Jew with a doctorate in the Hebrew language as well as ancient Greek, they are 99.9% certain that the language current being spoke in Israel today is authentic ancient Hebrew.

lol still doesn't build the case for it being the "holy language"

the whole no liar thing sounds more parallel to this passage of the Bible:

Revelation 21

All Things Made New

1 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. 2 Then I, John,[a] saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
5 Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”
6 And He said to me, “It is done![c] I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. 7 He who overcomes shall inherit all things,[d] and I will be his God and he shall be My son. 8 But the cowardly, unbelieving,[e] abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”.....

27 But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes[o] an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

Do you believe that the above passages refer to the NATION Israel or the Spiritual Israel that has been birthed from the Seed of Abraham who is Christ, who is the True Vine, the Root of David, the Fountain of Living waters?

Zephaniah 3

8 “ Therefore wait for Me,” says the LORD,

“ Until the day I rise up for plunder;[a]
My determination is to gather the nations
To My assembly of kingdoms,
To pour on them My indignation,
All My fierce anger;
All the earth shall be devoured
With the fire of My jealousy.

9 “ For then I will restore to the peoples a pure language,
That they all may call on the name of the LORD,
To serve Him with one accord.

has parallel's in God's wrath in Revelations.

Revelation 15

Prelude to the Bowl Judgments

1 Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous: seven angels having the seven last plagues, for in them the wrath of God is complete.
2 And I saw something like a sea of glass mingled with fire, and those who have the victory over the beast, over his image and over his mark[a]and over the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, having harps of God. 3 They sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying:

“ Great and marvelous are Your works,
Lord God Almighty!
Just and true are Your ways,
O King of the saints!
4 Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name?
For You alone are holy.
For all nations shall come and worship before You,
For Your judgments have been manifested.”

Strangelove is a troublemaker. He was posting here awhile back and left for a season and came back. If you want to deal with him and his silly notions, go ahead. I have written him off and a few others because all they do is cause strife through an independent spirit and being controversial. They should go back where they came from. They are not edifying and they live in this party spirit that likes to mock and ridicule others and some get caught up in that spirit unknowingly through personality rapport. Maybe they need to be turned over so that they can be chastened a little and learn to control their tongue and stop acting so brutish.

(Galatians 3:16) Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
Oh ok. I see. The promise to Issac Jacob and all the other people were not for them. it was for Christ. Christ was given the land of Canaan. WHats he gonna do with it?

Again. WHy were they given the land LONG before Christ even came? You like playing these games.

Whats He gonna do with it?

He's gonna make it into a SPIRITUAL fulfillment in NEW Jerusalem. His Kingdom. For ALL people who believe in the Son of God. Not a bunch of apostate heretics who call themselves 'jews' and follow rulez that completely nullify Gods law.

Your argument is with Paul. He says the promises made to Abrahams seed is made TO CHRIST. He refutes your entire dispology in one sweet verse.

And you still havn't answered post #183.
