Here's mikko's problem in his own words. He's a modern day Pharisee who bathes in his own self righteousness and all the while shuts out the Kingdom of God against others.

Your fruit is rotten mikko, because all you do is sow discord while thumping your chest in self-delight.
There seems to be plenty of people in the "holier than thou" group on this forum.

Amen, Brother. Its very sad to know so many people walk the Earth espousing self righteousness when Jesus clearly denounced such blasphemous attitudes.

You know that practically every person on these Forums will agree with your statement. And practically every person on these Forums will be looking around at the rest of those here, nodding their heads, and saying......."yup, there's one of 'em right there."

:)

Just the way it is.........

Yes everybody should agree with the statement made by mailmandan about some act holier than thou, but also I would like to add though before going around and just make that statement and placing that title on anybody you must first find out if they are;

1) Speaking on self-righteousness

2) Speaking on righteousness of Christ by instruction others of obedience to Him out of love........

Obedience to walk in the teachings and commands of the Lord our God out of love is not instructing others in self-righteousness, and is exactly what the bible says we are to do. For part of a true faith in the Lord is doing what He said !!!

Thank God that I have the Holy Spirit pleading for me to align my life with the will of God. I really don't need other voices. And not only does He pray for me, but He also inspires and motivates me.

So what's with all the preaching that some think they need to do?

Because even our Lord Jesus Christ said that part of believing in Him is doing what He said.........Luke 6:46-59

Apostle James expounds on this and says a hearer of the word but not a doer is deceived...........James 1:22-25

Also in Matthew 25 it gives multiple parables and show only those who prepared and did His will got eternal life, and those who did not prepare or do His will for sent away to eternal punishment !!!

The difference being, some share the Kingdom while others shut out the Kingdom.

And when I wrote about holy, I mean that we should sanctified, like purify our self for all kind of unholy values of this world, like immature behavior what we see also in here.

We should have self-control over the all kind of immature moods, which seduce us.
We cannot purify ourselves only the blood of Jesus pays our debt. The purpose of law is NOT to make us holy but to make us see we CANNOT be holy so we turn to His atonement and His obeisance to the law.

This should be posted in the sanctuary of every house of worship.

It is the Bible.

1. Behold what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called children of God; and such we are. For this cause the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. 2. Beloved, now are we children of God, and it is not yet made manifest what we shall be. We know that, if he shall be manifested, we shall be like him; for we shall see him even as he is. 3. And every one that hath this hope set on him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. (1 John 3:1-3)

And I am telling to you people's what I have already say, in many time, that the truth is lost in today's christianity.

Do not deceive your selves by false doctrines of today, which has no true knowledge of God's will.

Well if you think you are good enough to keep ALL the laws (not just the 10 commandments because that's usually the clean up lawmakers use ) good luck, but where is the verse that says ceremonial law is fulfilled by Jesus but not the ten commandments?

I could be wrong, but I have a feeling he's just a young'un trying too hard to "do God's will", trying to follow in the footsteps of the numerous legalistic preachers & teachers on this site. I think he's just immature, not really contentious.

But as I said, I could be wrong. :p

As Yeshua said:

"If your left hand causes you to sin, cut it off and toss it aside. If your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and throw it away."

Hold fast to the truth, Mikko. The Lord will help you resist the pleasures of the flesh if you keep listening to Him.
Thank you Saladin.

You and your ilk preach your own self righteousness. That's why she says that.
What part is my own righteousness?

It is the righteousness of our Lord which I preach, and you can easily find the values in the Bible, which I preach.

We have to keep those commandments.

On few are those who will survive.

The Lord preaches love and grace; you preach condemnation to us while stating you're perfect.
