(Your response to ResidendAlien's post)

You cannot possibly prove that the KJV is the only correct one by using the KJV. All you can do is prove that it is different. Of course, if you are deluded by logical fallacies, you might erroneously think that your "proof" is valid.
I'm not trying to prove anything to you Dino.
I'm stating a fundamental teaching that is found in my Bible. I can't say the same for a hundred others that are incomplete.
A whole bunch of preachers have made it their life's calling to undermine my faith and that of others. I don't have time for them any more. If someone does not believe that the true word of God existed past the original autographs, that's on them. I don't buy that.
I trust that the Word of God has been preserved. I already posted a good documentary on the subject for anyone who wants to listen.

I believe God's word has been preserved; He says He will do that. But I'd like to see a passage that says: "I will preserve my word solely in the King James Bible." No one will ever find it because it's not there. That's reality.

I wouldn't think of undermining your faith; but unfortunately your faith has become tied to a false belief.

Bahahahahaha! That you consider your version to contain a"fundamental teaching" that happens to exist only in the KJV should be ample evidence to you that it is neither fundamental nor valid. If it isn't in the original-language texts, it isn't a biblical teaching at all.

A whole bunch of preachers have made it their life's calling to undermine my faith and that of others.
Nobody except an atheist would try to undermine your faith in Jesus Christ. Your misplaced faith in a translation is another matter.

Is that what you think I believe... without even asking me? Wow, the brainwashing has gone deep.

I trust that the Word of God has been preserved. I already posted a good documentary on the subject for anyone who wants to listen.
I am inclined to yawn at one-sided arguments presented as "truth".

You just twisted my words. The casual reader might not notice, but I do.
I never said that the doctrine of preservation was missing from the original language texts. I just don't speak for those you might hold to.

I've heard fake preachers actually quote atheists to try to make their point. Bart Ehrman is a popular one with the fake pastors right now if I remember the name correctly. I have no more time or patience for pastors who say that we shouldn't believe the ending of Mark 16 or that half of " I Samuel 17 is missing from the originals."
Two of many examples.

I don't know what you believe dino.
I simply stated what I believe.
I'm alright with us not agreeing.

For those who read this, it was Resident Alien and then Dino who first took issue with my lone statement a page back.
It's not me picking on ol' dino here.

My comment wasn't directed to you. It was reminiscent of former pastors and a few in big media. One good thing that came from it is while they said we don't have a correct Bible since the originals and they pretended to know foreign languages better than the KJV translators, it challenged me to dig enough to discover more about the rich background of my Bible. It's gotten more attacks than any other and stood up to the tests.
Which Bible do you believe that God preserved for this generation?

"The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever."

Psalm 12:6-7

Your question is inherently fallacious. God didn't preserve "a Bible"; He preserved His word which is the Bible. The Bible is available in English in dozens of translations, and in thousands of translations into other languages.

"The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever."

Psalm 12:6-7
As with most KJV-onlyists, you overlook the importance of the words, "from this generation".

When you preserve something from something else, you are keeping it away from that thing, not maintaining its availability. David was saying that God would keep "them" away from a wicked generation. Does that sound like preservation of the text through the KJV?

Not even remotely.

I'm not attacking anything. All I'm saying, and all I've ever said, is no one can offer anything to substantiate the claim that God's word is preserved in the KJV and only the KJV. If you want to keep believing it to be so in spite of this, then by all means go right ahead.

Why do people go stagnant when the KJV is brought up? I was rasied hearing from the KJV almost exclusively. All versions of the Bible have an error and more.
As for the commentaries by the translators of the original KJV, thisis no different from relying ons Stong in order to understand the word, bor Stron's has been found to be in error too.

No matter what version of the W"ord is being read, our Father gets what needs to be understood across to each reader, and no two readers will receive identical revelations. If all truly understood all there would be no apostasy, and it does abound dtoday..

Trust God, not a bunchof egg-head theologians.

I do trust God.
That's why I believe the promises like found in Psalm 12:6

""The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever."

All due respect to James Strong, a brilliant theologian, he did make mistakes. Albeit, he knew more about the Bible than I do.
That said, I've sat under egg head theologians that tried their best to crush the faith of the average Christian while exalting their amazing powers of translation. I've seen marriages broken over idolatry some gullible spouses had for one of those egg heads.

They treat the Bible like some competitor they try to put down in order to boost themselves in the eyes of the adoring audience in many cases.

See my post #86. A thoughtful response would be appropriate.
