YOU ARE NOT THE BOSS OF THE DISCUSSIONS, and this room is not for anti-calvinsm fascists, it is for discussion of the docrines of grace, the solas, the trinity and amillenium eschatology as was listed in the beginning. You want to add to or ask ABOUT these beliefs of Calinism then do so politely. thank you Your ORDER to stop teaching IMMEDIATELY was out of line.
Wow! I mean really?

Nor are you. You as the OP proposed a topic for discussion but you DO NOT "own" or control the thread. Once it is posted it is the property of and solely under the control of the administration of Christian Chat. If you don't like the submissions of particular users feel free to place them on your "ignore" list.
Gotta love how people open a thread to discuss, Yet have no desire to discuss..in a BIBLE DISCSSION forum no less.. :rolleyes:

My wife loves Cherry Coke Zero. My favorite pop is Mountain Dew made with sugar and not high fructose corn syrup.
High fructrose corn syrup is worse than sugar, it should be banned

I was out of maple syrup so had to resort using my wife's Mrs. Butterworth on my pancakes this morning which is just basically high fructose corn syrup. Tasted OK though but still prefer maple syrup.

motorcycles should be banned from traffic
I believe that the topic of this thread is about the merits of sugar verse high fructose corn syrup but I guest that you can derail with the motorcycle reference. Are we talkin' 'bout hogs?

Yes, two unbiblical things have been tied together using walking a dog on a leash. LOL!!!

Let's note 1 Corinthians 2:5.

Calvinism doesn't teach God forces persons. That's a false assumption on the part of trofimus (and many others). It's a straw man.

Man's will is not free, that's another false assumption of trofimus.

God does cause us to do his will though; Philippians 2:13; Psalm 23:2; Ezekiel 36:27.

BUT, he does not do this for each and every person ever born. He chooses whom he wills to choose, he is totally free in his will, his election is Sovereign.

One other thing, no person is free in their will, or otherwise, John 8:36, and salvation isn't via man's decision, John 1:13, Romans 9:16 &c. We are only free in Christ, and in no way are free prior to conversion.

We should really be sticking to Scripture, not illustrations that deny biblical truth because they sound suave. I'll stick with Scripture.
God has given all mankind a freedom to choose how they want to live there lives here on earth. The natural man, void of the Spirit, is influenced by his fleshly nature. The elect who have been regenerated and given the Spirit are influenced either by the Spirit or by his fleshly nature. Man's life here on earth is his own choice, as to how he wants to live it, but his eternal life is by the grace of God without the decision of man.

If God were choosing men for salvation, He would choose the entire human race. Therefore this false notion of so-called *unconditional election* is TOTALLY BOGUS.

1 TIMOTHY 2
1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions,and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

God's Word is crystal clear: Christ gave Himself a ransom FOR ALL, since God will have ALL MEN TO BE SAVED and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. Hence prayers are to be made for ALL MEN.
There is a deliverance (salvation = deliverance) here on this earth when God's children "come unto a knowledge of the truth" We see an example of this in Romans 10. The men of (Israel, which is Jacob's name and is a like figure of the church) had a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.

Nope

This belief has God regenerating a person who is still under punishment of sin. You can not make a person alive (innocent) who has yet to be justified (declaired righteous)

Justification MUST precede Regeneration.
Justification does precede regeneration by a long shot because the elect were justified by Christ on the cross. and some of them probably have not been regenerated yet.
