Hmmm. @fredoheaven thinks the true message of the Gospel preached as above deserved an "old" emoji reaction. Interesting. Preach it is 100% of God and he disagrees? Yep.
You wouldn't be whining or complaining now would you? :)

John 1:13 does not support Calvinism forced salvation as much as you want to make it so.

You will notice "receive" precedes in verse John 1:11

So no we cannot birth ourselves spiritually, but those that received Him He gave the power to become sons of God.

Umm, I agree fully with what the scriptures of truth says but not with the the old Calvinism theory.
No, you disagreed that salvation is 100% of God, all I did was use scripture to prove it. :)

Your kjvonlyism has clouded your thinking into denying the truth of the Gospel.

In your view "100% of God" means we cannot even believe correct?

Also what about "receive" do we do that?... Or does it just happen .... like Poof.. no thinking involved?

God is love, and with that I would like calvinists to share Scripture which validates His love as demonstrated by allegedly creating some individuals for the specific purpose of predestined hellfire.

If any calvinist can support their views with Scripture stating that some people are created for the sole purpose of hellfire, then I will embrace their views and be a proponent thereof. It’s time to put up or shut up.

It is not even a theory, but rather the ramblings of a false teacher, embraced and peddled by religionists....it is divisive, destructive and as false as Mormonism.....

Their version or gospel according to their mentor is.....God is love and he only loves Calvinists.......and of course, God would have all men be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth only means the followers of Calvin.....but hey.....it makes for good bondage....!

I think your out. you've thrown into another subject.
Any person with a grain of salt worth of common sense can read the bible and see Calvin was false....regardless of the version.

God would have ALL MEN.....not just Calvinists

Creation and the invisible testifies so no lost man is without excuse

Jesus paid the sin debt OF the WHOLE WORLD

And God loves the WHOLE ORDER OF THINGS (Kosmos) not just the saved CALVINITES!

Yeah, all scripture must harmonize, so why do some want to take half of them out to try to limit the atonement? In trying to put limits and restrictions on the atonement, some are actually trying to put limits on God. God can save whomsoever he will. We know that it is not God's will that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. The free gift has come upon all men and whosoever will accept it shall be saved.

There all too many places in the scripture that deal with the fact that Jesus died for all, whosoever will, the whole world, all men...etc. and we cannot just overlook that fact. So if you want to harmonize the scripture, I suggest you try to do it with honesty and integrity. We should not and cannot try to change the meaning of words to fit some man made doctrine.
First of all; I firmly believe that no one can understand the scriptures and their true meaning, without denying their own entelect, and letting the Holy Spirit within them reveal the truths of the scriptures. Secondly, we have to study, making use of a Greek concordance.

If a person, seemingly, has scriptures that contradict each other, they do not have the truth.

2 Pet 3:9; The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to US-WARD, not willing that any should PERISH, but that ALL should come to repentance.

In keeping this verse in context, we have to go back to chapter 1, verse 1, which says that Peter is talking to "them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ".

Peter even includes himself, in his warning to them, by using the word "us-ward".

Peter is warning them, and himself also, that when they commit a sin, they should repent of that sin, to avoid "pershing" Perish according to Greek, means to lose, or die. Death, according to Greek means "a separation".

After we have been born again, and we commit a sin, we separate ourselves from our fellowship with God, until we repent of that sin, for God will not fellowship with sin.

The "any" in this verse has reference to them that have obtained like precious faith.

I resent your comment that I do not harmonize the scriptures with honesty, and integrity. I could say that about you, but I won't, because it is not productive, and besides that, it is very rude.

Calvinism is not biblical....end of story!
From what I have heard about John Calvin's writings, I would not agree with him, but I have no reason not to believe that he is a regenerated child of God.
Have you ever considered that you might not be biblical?

God says "those that I love, I chasten". That would, obviously, mean if there is a person that he does not chasten, then he does not love them, right?

Psalms 73:5, Talking about the "wicked", They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they "plagued" (Greek= smite, strike [punish, defeat destroy etc], like other men.

It makes me think, when I was a child, my neighbor kids and myself would be doing something that we should not have been doing, and my father would punish me, but did not lay a hand on the neighbor kids, because they were not his children. Maybe God does it the same way. What do you think?

Not a salvation issue. But more of like how can I hear the voice of God's faithfulness that works in us. And not that of corrupted mankind.

Yes all in respect to the many as he gave the power to come . Not one more or one less.

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: (or power of the flesh)

No power comes from theses earthen bodies of death Of those bodies jesus the Son of man said it profits for nothing.

2 Corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us

What does profit is the unseen work of God that works in the believer with the believer to both will and empower one to believe .

Philippians 2:13-14 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Do all things without murmurings and disputings:

Some murmur and want some outward recognition.

Better things accompany salvation. God promises us he will not forget being yoked with those who accredit the power to Him unseen.

Hebrew 6:9-10 But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak. For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

Hell fire is the sufferings of wage of sin "death"

Born again believers that are yoked with Christ. Their burden is made lighter in him we have our sabbath. They understand the power within is not of their own self .Dying men have no power over the first death.

Sorry, but could you explain your response to my post a little better. Does God love the wicked, or does he not?

Sorry, I don't see that at all. God has made it clear in way too many verses of scripture. You would have to deal with all those scriptures to try and limit atonement, in which you nor anyone else can do. To God be all the glory and power. It is God's plan and he has made it perfectly clear...no need for anyone to try to limit it because they cannot limit God... He is in control. I seriously wonder why any would even want to limit the atonement?

Anyhow, here is a few more of the scriptures that you can try to deal with and harmonize with:

1 Timothy 2
3This is good and pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, 4who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 5For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,…

Ezekiel 18:23
Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the Lord GOD. would I not prefer he turn from his ways and live?

Ezekiel 18:32
For I take no pleasure in anyone's death, declares the Lord GOD. So repent and live!

Ezekiel 33:11
Say to them: 'As surely as I live, declares the Lord GOD, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that the wicked should turn from their ways and live. Turn! Turn from your evil ways! For why should you die, O house of Israel?'

John 3:17
For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.

And many, many, many more just like this. God has said whomsoever will, all, any, all men, the whole world....there is no twisting this around and it cannot be limited by any man. And once again, it really concerns me that some people would even want to limit Jesus. He died for the whole world so that any and all that will believe in him should be saved. Why do some want to limit God and reply back against him and his perfect plan of salvation? He is righteous and good, a holy and just God, who opened the way of salvation for all through his Son Jesus Christ, and now the free gift is upon all that will accept him!

Chastening those you love and creating people for the sole purpose of damnation are two different attributes.

His children are the ones he chastises. And guess, what we were all on the other side of that at one time in our lives.

But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God,
