Job 16:15-17


- Yes, Job is down the pit!

- He wears a sackcloth!

- Can you imagine what it means for a man like Job and even for any of us?

- He has no more dignity!

- Can you imagine what it means for a man like Job and even for any of us?

- He is but the shadow of himself!

- His face has changed!

- But he keeps expressing his faithfulness!

- He has done no violence!

- And above all, his prayer is pure!

- Do you understand what it means when your thoughts and your actions are good and you have done everything according to Yah.weh’s will?

- It is an indestructible compass which helps you in your daily and future lives!

- It helps you maintain the pace of your walk!

- To keep moving in the right direction without turning back!

- And it is natural!

- Job is a warrior!

- He still has a fighting spirit!

- He will keep crying out!

- He will never stop talking about his feelings!

- He will have no rest till God answers him!

- He is not someone who renounces easily!

- Job is an incredible example for us!

- He shows us the way in spite of darkness!

- He never gives up!

- He is not the only one in the Bible!

- But there is no one like him on earth!

- And he resisted the devil with all his energy!

- And he showed that the devil is a liar!

Job 16:19

- Job’s only reference is God!

- No one else exists as an authority!

- And God knows that he has done nothing wrong!

- It is evidence for him!

- And he doesn’t understand why God doesn’t answer him!

- But he will keep crying out!

- He will never stop!

- His confidence in Yah.weh is total!

- He doesn’t know why he is in such a bad situation!

- But he will keep looking for Yah.weh!

- His best testimony is Yah.weh!

- May we follow Job in such a way!

- That’s the best one and the only one!

- Any other way can only be a dead end which can only lead to death!

- Do we want to live or to die?

- I want to live and be part of Yah.weh’s project!

- Any other way is meaningless!

- He knows what the men who are with him do with him!

- He knows that they are fighting against him!

- He knows that they don’t care about him!

- He knows that they don’t do anything for him!
- They just want to please their own ears!

- They just want to prove themselves right!

- Many people enjoy when others suffer extremely!

- They may do their best to increase their pain!

- What will happen when they find themselves in the same bad situation!

- Maybe they will remember their bad deeds!

- What about us?

- Job knows his personal situation!

- He doesn’t see any hope!

- And he is ready for any solution!

- But whatever may happen he will keep fighting!

- He will not renounce!

- But he is also prepared to die because he doesn’t see any future!

- The devil keeps striking him violently and he doesn’t give any rest to Job!

- He is striking him again and again!

- Who would resist such assaults?

- It is no game!

- Job does everything to resist!

- The devil keeps harassing him even when he sleeps!

- Job is done!

- It is evidence!

- He knows he won’t last like that for long!

- Moreover, people are there to accelerate the process!

- And he can’t do anything!

- He can only fight with his mouth, with his intelligence!

- He can only cry out for justice!

- He has been resisting the devil!

- But he knows there are human limits to suffering!

- And his spirit is completely broken!

- He doesn’t live anymore!

- He can feel the breath of death waiting for him!

- And mockers are looking at him and doing everything to help him die!

- Finally, he is waiting for death!

- What a sad feeling!

- Everybody is against him!

- The only one who can help him is God!

- The men who speak and oppose him are far from being wise!

- They don’t know what they are talking about!

- He can’t stop fighting!

- He has no other alternative till God answers him!

- He can only save time!

- Job is running a race against time!

- He tries to survive!

- He tries to oppose his opponents!

- He tries not to die!

- He keeps asking for help from Yah.weh!

- But nothing comes!

- And nobody, absolutely nobody will help him!

- It shows the importance of maintaining our mental and physical health!

- We must be careful of any bad signs before things worsen!

- Because then we are in trouble!

- And who can help us if not ourselves!

- Everyone is against him!

- Nobody cares about him!

- But it is not enough to spit in his face!

- The devil is ready to use all the means to destroy Job!

- He is ready for all extremities!

- He knows he can do anything except kill him!

- He has no humanity!

- He is evil and personalized!

- He wants humanity to be destroyed!

- We are in the middle of a fight between Yah.weh and the devil!

- On the one hand, there are angels faithful to Yah.weh!

- On the other hand, there are demons rejected by Yah.weh because they disobeyed him!

- On the one hand, faithful servants of Yah.weh!

- On the other hand, faithful servants of the devil!

- It is the same with mankind!

- Only two camps!

- Once again, like in the case of Job, it is a race against time!

- Demons know that at the end they will be destroyed!

- Many men are not concerned but they will be destroyed too!

- That’s the difference!

Job 17:7-9


- Job is but a shadow of himself!

- Upright people won’t understand!

- Job doesn’t understand himself!

- But he keeps faithful!

- And the faithful do the same!

- Job is down but his faithfulness is up!

- That’s the point: keep being faithful in a society which is unfaithful and where everything encourages unfaithfulness!

- That’s why a compass is necessary!

- And this compass is connected to action!

- Studying the Bible daily and seriously!

- I would say ruminate or masticate again and again!

- It must get deep inside yourself in such a way that it will never leave you alone!

- It doesn’t matter if it gets dark, you can still see it!

- Even when you lay in bed at night, you can still see it!

- Their speeches are empty talks!

- He speaks directly and frankly!

- There is no hesitation!

- We see a combative Job!

- But he has no more hope!

- But everything he has in mind has collapsed!

- Because he can’t find comfort in God’s relationship!

- Because he can’t communicate with him anymore!

- Because of the devil!

- Let no one prevent us from depriving us of our relationship with God!

- And above all, ourselves!

- We are the only ones who can help us build it up!

- And we must keep doing it whatever may happen!

- We must never abandon!

- We must always keep in mind the prize!

- job will always be an incredible example!

- Especially if we are on the verge of collapsing!

- DARKNESS!

- Well, these four words are clear!

- I hope that you will never have these four words in your mind at the same time!

- Because then it is really dark inside!

- Even if everything is dark inside, we need light and it can only come from our relationship with God!

- BUT AT THIS MOMENT IT IS NOT POSSIBLE FOR JOB!

- BUT THAT’S THE ONLY WAY HE KNOWS!

- SO WHAT CAN HE DO?

- He doesn’t accept death!

- Why should he die?

- He hasn’t done anything wrong!

- Thus he keeps fighting for survival!

- He keeps calling for Yah.weh’s help!

- He is indestructible!

- He will fight till his last breath!

- What about us?

- What a source of encouragement for us!

- Do you hear Job’s words?

- He can’t communicate with God!

- He doesn’t know why!

- God is the only reference he has!

- God is his only hope!

- God is his only lamp in the darkness!

- And even in the pit, he will call out saying: “You are my father!”

- Do you really understand the type of relationship Job has with God?

- It is an INDESTRUCTIBLE ONE!

- The more we study, the more we can understand Yah.weh!

- Yah.weh’s time is not man’s time!

- Yah.weh’s justice is not man’s justice!

- Yah.weh has no beginning and no end!

- We have a beginning and we have an end!

- If we keep thinking as human beings, we will never understand Yah.weh!

- By getting into the process of the relationship between Yah.weh and his faithful servants, we can understand Yah.weh!

- They are not different from us but they could develop a special relationship with Yah.weh!

- And the first vital element is to have continually in mind God’s name and its implication!

- Just keep in mind the God of the promise or of the promises!

- The one that always keeps his promises!

- But of course, we need to do our part!

- Think about the hebrews who didn’t get into the promised land because they didn’t do their part!

- Do we want to get into the next promised land or stay out, that is to die!

- Do we do our part or not?

- Do we say like Job: “you are my father”?

- NO HOPE!

- JUST BARRED GATES!

- WE ALL DESCEND TOGETHER INTO THE DUST!

- And Job will keep calling for God!

- Is that a small light in the darkness of pain and suffering?

- Or a big one?

- Job keeps speaking about hope!

- When you get hope there is still a light in the darkness!

- Even when you get a small one!

- When there is no more hope, then it is finished!

- And death gets closer!

- ONLY DUST!

- HOPE IS VITAL FOR SURVIVAL!

- It is incredible!

- Each time his opponents want to strike Job it only makes him more combative!

- Think about:

- “IRRITATING MY SOUL”!

- “CRUSHING ME WITH WORDS?”

- “TEN TIMES YOU HAVE REBUKED ME”

- “YOU ARE NOT ASHAMED TO DEAL HARSHLY WITH ME”!

- We definitely know what they are doing against Job!

- It is not possible to think the contrary!

- We just need to hear Job’s own words!

- And what WORDS!

- Those who keep criticizing Job keep such a tradition!

- These words are also for them!

- But they can’t hurt him anymore!

- And above all, the best comfort for Job is Yah.weh!

- The rest doesn’t really matter!

- It is always possible to criticize!

- There is no problem!

- As far as someone can answer you back!

- It also shows who you are!

- That’s what we call freedom!

- Even when people speak nonsense, it can help people understand the subject better!

- “If you insist on exalting yourselves over me”!

- Is that not EMPTY WORDS!

- It reminds me of the religious leaders!

- But if you don’t give PROPER ARGUMENTS, it is just EMPTY WORDS!

- Job is clear about that!

- They can’t expect him to let them say EMPTY WORDS without fighting back!

- It’s the same for us: we can’ let people say EMPTY WORDS without fighting back!

- And he knows he has been misled not by God but by the devil who has caught him in his hunting net!

- Job doesn’t have all the facts!

- And because of that he goes to the wrong conclusion!

- It’s nothing new!

- Today many people accuse God about what’s going on on the earth whereas the one responsible is man!

- The difference today is that we have the Bible!

- But having the Bible is not enough!

- It is necessary to study it carefully with patience again and again because our life or death depends on that!

- But as usual the majority doesn’t care or let others do the job for them!

- It has never worked and it won't either!

- Why does man always repeat the same mistake?

- He probably thinks he is intelligent enough!

- And it is written in the Bible!

- It is a joke!

- But when time comes, Jesus will come back as a warrior and it won’t be a joke!

- It won’t be a question of life or death!

- The question of life or death is now!

- it’s like cancer!

- if we don’t do anything before, then it’s often too late!

- Because that’s the only way he knows!

- In the same way, we can say there won’t be any justice before Jesus comes to restore it on earth!

- Because human justice isn’t justice!

- It is only a bad copy of Yah.weh’s justice!

- But we can say the same with any part of human society!

- It is only a pale copy of what comes from Yah.weh!

- That’s why it is necessary to act and prepare for the next promised land!

- When he used to help people!

- Or give them advice!

- And thinking of his past life may help him to rejoice a bit in his misfortune!

- It’s good to find pleasure in what we have achieved!

- How is it possible that a MERE MAN can resist him?

- And he strikes him with all the weapons he has!

- So think about it!

- It is not a small business!

- Because all the angels are watching!

- And the devil is showing himself RIDICULOUS!

- He is against a mere man!

- He must be kidding!

- But he is not, that’s the problem for him!

- Because all the angels are watching!

- And there are NUMEROUS!

- WHAT A SHAME FOR HIM!

- And shame is far away from what he really feels!

- Yes, Job is a living proof that not all men will follow the devil!

- There will always be faithful servants of Yah.weh!

- And the angels can see that!

- Even if the majority follows him!

- And Yah.weh through his son will clean the earth and human society to make the earth a paradise completely different from what we know!

- We can’t even imagine what it will be!

- But what is incredible is to think about the possibility of having a share in this transformation!

- And when we participate in something we value it more!
