You seem very hostile when the Name of the Creator is promoted, this should not be so...
No, I am hostile to people who go around puffing themselves up as religious and better than everyone else.

I have read every english bible out there, And I have yet seen the word YHWH used in any of them..

I have read some greek OT bibles. and have yet to see the words YHWH used in any of them.

God gave the hebrew people his nae in hebrew, it does not mean he demands that everyone in every language is required to call him his Hebrew name, this is just crazy, You make God out to be something he is not.

It is God who created ALL languages, They are OF HIM. And your going to tell me God is going to get man because I call him by his God given english name?

That is a transliteration of a Greek name, and not a Hebrew name, and we all know that our ha'Mashiah was Jewish and has a Hebrew name.
It's always strange when some people lecture others about proper usage of Jesus' Hebrew name and titles, when it's clear there is a lack of familiarity with the Hebrew language itself. For example, you should know that in "ha'Mashiah," the "ha" is actually a prefix for the definite article "the." So if you fully translated your sentence to English it would read:

"...and we know that our the Messiah was Jewish and has a Hebrew name."

So, it should probably be something like "Maschiahnu" to be plural possessive.

If you want all English then you can't use the word God, it is of Semitic origin, phonetically spelled Gawd... Then you also would not want to see the word Baal written in English, as Baal is also Semitic, so maybe you would like Lord there instead? I will honor your request in the following passage:

Yeremyah 23:26-27, "How long will this be in the heart of the prophets who prophesy lies? Yes, they are prophets of the deceit of their own minds plan and scheme, to cause My people to forget My Name through their dreams, which they tell every man to his neighbor, just as their fathers have forgotten My Name for Lord (Baal)."

Yeremyah 12:14-17, "This is what Yahweh says against all My evil neighbors who touch the inheritance which I have caused My people Israyl to inherit: Behold, I will pluck them up from off their land, and I will pluck up the house of Yahdah from among them. And it will come to pass, after I have plucked them out, that I will return and have compassion on them, and bring them back; everyone to his heritage and everyone to his land. And it will come to pass, if they will diligently learn the ways of My people, to vow by My Name, saying; As surely as Yahweh lives--as they once taught My people to vow by Baal (Lord) then they will be established in the midst of My people. But if they do not obey, I will utterly pluck up and destroy that nation, says Yahweh."

The creator's name is GOD. Not initials like YHWH.. it gets confusing when ppl call him by names in other languages.. for me it's confusing anyway.. just sayin'... Simplify things for ppl and call him God. :)

He says to call Him by His Name.

Example: This is the last thing the SAVIOR said to the pharisees as He walked off the Temple of Yahweh (that was its real NAME BTW, ancient pottery has proved this)

Mattithyah 23:39, "For I say to you: From this moment you will not see Me, until you say: Blessed is He Who comes in the Name of Yahweh!"

The pharisees banned the Name of Yahweh and replaced it with Adonai (Lord) and God (Elohim) I do not follow tradition, nor do I follow the pharisees or any man for that matter. I seek to follow Yahweh.

Yahchanan (John) 17:6, "I have manifested Your Name to the men that You gave Me out of the world. They were yours, and You gave them to Me; and they have kept Your word."

Yahchanan (John) 5:43, "I have come in My Father's Name, but you do not follow Me. Let another come in his own name; him you will follow."

The English Revised Version - Preface

"It has been thought advisable in regard to the word "JEHOVAH" to follow the usage of the Authorised Version, and not to insert it uniformly in place of "LORD" or "GOD," which when printed in small capitals represent the words substituted by Jewish custom for the ineffable Name according to the vowel points by which it is distinguished. It will be found, therefore, that in this respect the Authorised Version has been departed from only in a few passages, in which the introduction of a proper name seemed to be required."

Mattithyah 15:2-3, "Why do Your disciples transgress the traditions of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat. But He answered, and said to them: And why do you transgress the Laws of Yahweh by your traditions?"

Ladybug, no offense meant, but the word god is nothing more than a title, it is not an actual name.
How would you feel if everyone called you by the title woman, instead of your name?

Why Would I. I call him creator God all the time. Most the time when I talk to him, or of him, I call him what Paul told me to call him, My Abba Father.

I don't speak hebrew though, so I would not call him his hebrew name, Which is not even a name in reality, God told moses when asked what he was to be called. just tell them that I have sent you (literally I I Am, or I am who I am)

so should I go around calling god I I AM, or I AM who I am?

talk about confusion.

then again I guess I could puff myself and make myself look all holy and righteous and call hi YHWH (how do you pronounce it? Everyplace I have read has said the actual pronunciation has been lost to history)

What is amazing, is I wonder what God called himself to adam. Adam most likely did not speak Hebrew so what was Gods name to Adam? He would not have said he is YHWH, he would have used Adams own language to call himself what he called himself.

No offense. But when God told Moses who sent him, he gave moses his title. not his actual name. I am not sure if he ever actually gave us his actual name, most likely we could not even pronounce it, since we do not speak the language of the spiritual world.

Would you be able to explain the dreams bit, people are throwing that scripture around here about Gods name. I somehow suspect that this scripture is being misused, or not in the right context. If I were to use the scripture in a literal sense, I don't see anyone here saying they had a dream that contradicts Gods nature but saying it was from God and causing others to fall away.

You do not get it do you?

When you use a hebrew word for a chapter name, and a hebrew word for the word God, or lord or whatever, and not use the english word (when you are speaking in english) it is actually offensive, and quite religious.

I get enough of that crap from the fake religious churches I have been to and have to hang around, I do not need to get it from people claiming to be ones of Gods true children.

But hey, if you want to puff yourself up (by the way, I do not speak aramic either, so would never use the name allah, or baal or anything else)

His enlgish name will suffice, Since God gave me the english language to use as my own.

Ok.... so if someone does not speak English, they have the right to assign you any name they choose?

It's not that hard to study and learn His name, which if you truly love someone, I think you would want to know their name.

Exodus 3:14-15, "Then Yahweh said to Mosheh: I am Who I am. And He said: This is what you are to say to the children of Israyl; the I am has sent me to you. Yahweh also said to Mosheh: This also shall you say to the children of Israyl; YAHWEH, the Heavenly Father of your fathers, the Mighty One of Abraham, the Mighty One of Isaac, and the Mighty One of Yaaqob, has sent me to you. THIS IS MY NAME FOREVER-- and this is MY MEMORIAL: the Name by which I am to be remembered by, from generation to generation, for all generations."
