To him I must be satan then lol
Oh he would have. You would not believe what went on in this zoo. He was "casting" demons out of people who weren't possessed to begin with for all sorts of reasons. People were barking like dogs. A real circus.

One of my aunt's had a house once. One day, my mother and her walked into that house. They said the stuffed parrot was talking. The walls were breathing. You may or may not believe that, and that is fine with me, but my aunt left everything in that house and never went back. For someone to just let a house and its contents just set there until she was forced to demolish it because of it being condemned by gov., perhaps experienced something through material objects.

Kind of like a devil behind every bush.........! Crazy for sure.....!
Exactly. I just looked at the pastor and asked how long he was going to let the freak show go on. He just looked at the floor and didn't answer me. Pathetic.

Don't know why she left the house. Why not tear down the walls, knock the wind out of them? And I'd have taken the parrot on the road.

Well this is the second most active and popular Christian forum site there is and so a large number of the body of Christ shows up here. So what your seeing is basically the state the church has fallen into.
And Blain, you enforced your own statement. Too many here think that anyone can say anything and it is outrageous to call them out. We are told to try the spirits. Do you have any clue where the term "doubting Thomas" came from? Let me clue you in - The apostle Thomas questioned Christ's word.

Nowhere in the bible does it say to believe anything and everything you hear. People that get their feelings hurt when someone questions them, or doubts their veracity, aren't very well schooled in the word.

The time to get annoyed is when they doubt the bible.

This is exactly the reason that my bible study class decided against learning anything about how demons are working in our world. They felt that searching for facts about it was giving demons power.

Christ spoke of demons and it did not give demons power, quite the opposite. In years past there has been misinformation in the church about them and innocent people were murdered. Today, Hollywood and authors are using them to sell entertainment.

Demons are here, demons are at work among us. Scripture tells us we have a problem with them in the last days. I don't think it is wise at all to deny ourselves knowledge about them, I think that gives them more power. When I made a study of them I found out some things we all need to know. As an example of one fact I found about them was that no one should try to handle demons ever, it is too dangerous and we will always lose. Christ has been given authority over them and we must use this authority only when we oppose them. There are many other things I learned, and I think it is necessary for the church to learn these things, also.
Actually by not understanding the ways of your enemy is giving them real power, because when you refuse to acknowledge they are real and we wrestle with them, you add to their deception and millions die in their sins not understanding demons and Satan are real and not metaphors for a bad hair day....

Understanding and knowing the enemy and his fallen is by understanding Jesus Christ won the victory at the cross and when he rose again....He won the victory and in this day we must enforce that victory everyday.

Keeping your head in the sand or stating you have no power over them through Jesus Christ is nice and spiritual, but also refuted by what Jesus said in the Bible. His whole time in the wilderness shows you and I how to handle the Devil and his fallen....
Stop giving the powers of darkness a hand, buy stating talking about them gives them power, what gives them power is not talking about them, understanding and knowing the authority you have over them in Jesus Christ.

If your walk is easy going, you better check whose hand you are walking with...it most certainly and most likely is not the Saviors....

Though, myself, having some issues with the bogeyman in the blender, to say we wrestle against nothing is far, far from scriptural truth,

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

I'd think less of what may be lurking in that steam iron, and more what may be actually lurking in our own hearts and minds, as well as other people, you think? (Not you, highwayman, who I agree with...)

No doubt...A pastor friend of mine dropped a pen right before the prayer to dismiss and as he bent over he cracked one off....everybody was snickering and an old dude asked his wife what everybody was laughing about and she said real loud...the preacher passed gas....it was over they all lost it.....Clark was embarrassed for like three weeks HAHHA...FUNNY!
DC the real question for another OP is this.

Were there FARTS before the fall!?!?

Did Adam walk up to Eve in his glorified state and say:

Hey babe....Pull my finger!!

:)

I think this is a CRUCIAL point, and I agree completely. We should focus more on the sin and rebellion in our own hearts, mind and spirit and attribute our struggles to that, as opposed to attributing it to other influences.

Also, some of us have known the work of evil spirits in people, but, if not (ie, recognized) many testimonies of criminals have had a thread running through them of compulsion, even a sense of not doing the acts themselves, rather witnessing their own acts, too widespread a testimony to dismiss: testimonies that something came over them. And some testimonies of not even knowing why they did what they did, when questioned as to motive! Who do you believe is really behind the psychopaths and horrors of human history?

Whoa. Stop the presses!! Oh MY!! Absolutely no one ever has the right to say that Jesus Christ can not be used for power over demons. We can say that we are powerless over them EXCEPT through Christ, but to state a lie on Christian Chat is absolutely unacceptable. I must be more careful of my words so no one ever could read that into something I said, I haven't proof read the statement, I am shocked that someone could say I said that.

To deny the power of Christ is a terrible sin.

Yeah I was at a meeting like that one time and although not my church, and not my microphone, I took the microphone and while the visiting evangelist and pastoral team were busy casting demons out of a girl, I told the congregation to start worshiping Jesus. The more we worshiped Jesus the less the girl manifested, after about 5 minutes of worshiping Jesus, the girl got off the floor and walked out of the church.

There was no demon in that girl, just a girl who wanted attention.

There is no true discernment anymore it seems in the church.

I never denied the power of Christ at all...I said exactly what the Bible states, we have power that he has given us....If you got out of the OT and into the NT you might learn this...

This is right on many different levels.

Wise words.
