Actually, it started out that way. . .
Nah it was actually an interesting discussion topic that probably could have been solved by now if it wasn't for all of the self-righteous, sarcastic, prideful people on here. spiderman5522222222.jpg

I would appreciate a real answer actually. An honest answer.
Liar!

I gave you a real answer. TWICE! You zipped right by them to continue to play this game. And this is nothing more to you than a game.

I answered the question back on page 1. The self-righteous, sarcastic, prideful one is still playing his game.

It is so sad that you find these kind of people everywhere: know-it-all hypocrites, self-serving liars, defiled seared consciences untouchable by truth, supporters and bolsterers of ignorance, did i mention backbiters, haters of truth, unquestionably ill willed?

So help me God i pray no seeker of Christianity comes here asking you heathens for advice in regards to truth about Gods word! Every last one of you will give them YOUR version- devoid of what the true meat of the conversation is....you people are sad. some of you anyways....you make me SICK...

Non-responsive. . .

They speech doth betray thee. . .you don't want answers, you want to set up a subjective authority over the word of God written, but first you must unseat the word of God as errant and fallible.

You're in the wrong place for that. . .we believe God's word written here, not because we can prove it, but because the Holy Spirit has proven its truth to us.

You're wasting your time if you think you can unseat what the Holy Spirit has given us in favor of your unbelief.

This is interesting.

No one thinks to question a talking snake, or a talking donkey, someone living in a fish etc. They seem to be accepted as fact and no one argues anything about it.

But a few minor discrepancies appear in people's recall of events and then big questions emerge?

I'm sure talking animals are more extraordinary than a couple of normal people giving inconsistent accounts of what happened on a particular day, so why aren't they the focal point of a discussion?

So my question to the OP is, do you accept without question that animals talked in the Bible? And if so why is a normal, natural, distorted and poor recall of the days events more of an issue?

Fair question, but a complete derail.

Also: Mr. Tumnus is absolutely real.

Answer: Actually, now that i am tearing the bible alart in deep study in an effort to find all of the truth that i can, i have revealed that, to my surprise - there are chronology errors. So i now question the authenticity of whatever i come across, while maintaining the attitude and position that 99% is probably still true...but having to factor in the sad fact that it is NOT 100% true in its content.

But a few minor discrepancies appear in people's recall of events and then big questions emerge?
Answer: there are no errors in the stories of talking animals, no matter how hard it is to believe....The errors occur within the most imortant story ever told, the most important event to happen to all of Christianity....therefore, if they happen there, it poses the question "what else has errors"??

I'm sure talking animals are more extraordinary than a couple of normal people giving inconsistent accounts of what happened on a particular day, so why aren't they the focal point of a discussion?

Answer: I respectfully disagree here- the ressurection is the most extraordinary happening of all time and a completely true religion is based in it. The universe is hinged on this moment!! Christisnity cant even get THIS right???

So my question to the OP is, do you accept without question that animals talked in the Bible? And if so why is a normal, natural, distorted and poor recall of the days events more of an issue?
Answer: Yes i still accept that animals can talk, i still accept God as all powerful. I think that the fact of the ressurection story having flaws brings about deeper doctrinal issues such as, what else is flawed?

In all actuality i still believe the bible to be mostly error free, but i can no longer (and neither can anyone else) stand upon a pulpit and exclaim any particular scripture as 100% true and doctrinally sound if it pertai s to anything other than that of basic birth and death and sinlessness..... I am forced to rely upon the Holy Spirit to teach and reveal to me what is actually true about deeper doctrines - patience will be used i assure you....but still, considering what we now know- many doctrines are in danger...many MUST be questioned, many should be avoided, and maybe, just maybe, we should adhere to Jesus born, died, and resurrected, and nothing else, until revealed otherwise truths?.....much like Paul sought ?

Wasn't attempting a derail. Just asking how one can unquestionably accept a talking animal, but then kick up a fuss about the known and rather mundane fact that our memories fail us and distort things all the time.

And Mr Tumnus?? What you talking 'bout?!?! :)

When man is involved in something, its never going to be 100 percent perfect. Far from it.

These are eye witness accounts. What would even be the point of publishing the exact same account 4 times? People see things differently and recall things differently, and often incorrectly.

Its a non issue and doesn't impact on whether the resurrection really happened. If someone got murdered and all the witnesses had clashing stories, it wouldn't change the fact that someone still got murdered!

Baloney. . .why are they exempt from error?

You're not even consistent.

I am forced to rely upon the Holy Spirit to teach and reveal to me what is actually true about deeper doctrines
And now we are down to your agenda. . .setting up your personal understanding as authoritative over the word of God written.

What a lame, ignorant, ego-centered, thinly-veiled attempt to enthrone yourself above the word of God written.

"Run, forest, run!"

patience will be used i assure you....but still, considering what we now know- many doctrines are in danger...many MUST be questioned, many should be avoided, and maybe, just maybe, we should adhere to Jesus born, died, and resurrected, and nothing else, until revealed otherwise truths?.....much like Paul sought ?
Pathetic deception. . .

The only way your going to get 3 or 4 guys to give you the exact same report is to make sure they are all standing in the same place at the same time. Did one of them get enough sleep last night? Is one of their attention span shorter than the other? Was one thinking of something else at the time? So many variables.

Have you seen those game shows where the contestants watch a clip of film and are then asked questions about what they just saw? Guaranteed they all answer differently because they were all paying attention to different things. But no matter what they recall about the clip, the clip is still the same.
