This is interesting.
No one thinks to question a talking snake, or a talking donkey, someone living in a fish etc. They seem to be accepted as fact and no one argues anything about it.
Answer: Actually, now that i am tearing the bible alart in deep study in an effort to find all of the truth that i can, i have revealed that, to my surprise - there are chronology errors. So i now question the authenticity of whatever i come across, while maintaining the attitude and position that 99% is probably still true...but having to factor in the sad fact that it is NOT 100% true in its content.
But a few minor discrepancies appear in people's recall of events and then big questions emerge?
Answer: there are no errors in the stories of talking animals, no matter how hard it is to believe....The errors occur within the most imortant story ever told, the most important event to happen to all of Christianity....therefore, if they happen there, it poses the question "what else has errors"??
I'm sure talking animals are more extraordinary than a couple of normal people giving inconsistent accounts of what happened on a particular day, so why aren't they the focal point of a discussion?
Answer: I respectfully disagree here- the ressurection is the most extraordinary happening of all time and a completely true religion is based in it. The universe is hinged on this moment!! Christisnity cant even get THIS right???
So my question to the OP is, do you accept without question that animals talked in the Bible? And if so why is a normal, natural, distorted and poor recall of the days events more of an issue?
