Oh, my goodness! This is basic 101. Christians are only better off than non-Christians because Christ is their Lord and his righteous sacrifice makes them saints in the eyes of God. Christians are work-in-progress sinners (worked on by the Holy Spirit to become more like Christ) but also saints because they're covered by Christ's robes of righteousness. This has nothing to do with money or power.
This was all taught by men to people who took it at face value out of convenience. Please enlighten by what this means.
Now after you are taught the status quo, does your church pass the collection plate because the pastor has to eat, and the rental of the building has to be paid? Does it pay for the lights and the gas to heat that building?

Then it sounds no different than the building you left from to me.

Do I really have to pay God's bills and my own?

I can sing and read the bible at home.

Now think of what you wrote. Since this is "christianity 101" does not your preacher teach as well that since christians are the only ones that say Christ is their Lord, that He said that MANY who call them Lord He NEVER KNEW?

Maybe you know this. But certainly you're not one of those because you are a true christian.

Now I'm not saying this to be argumentative, but in honest curiosity. What would make you a better christian than the many He never knew?

You see, I see the world different. I hate it here. In one form or another that we are born to die, so at one time all I could see death. On top of that I was forced into a system of vain labor simply to survive long enough to die!

I could understand why people we would by appearance consider bad, but I like so many others see those who lived good honest lives die the same.

So I questioned death in a hope that I was not a mere coincidence lacking purpose. And with nothing to lose I sought within myself for the answer.

My church passes the collection bowl to help fund church ministry and mission work, not for the pastor's salary or to fix up the church. What makes me a better Christian than the one's Jesus said he never knew? Grace. Nothing I do but only what Christ does. If they're not true Christians, they're not Christians. This isn't that difficult to understand.
I'm sorry you hate your life here, that's not what God wants. He wants you to enjoy the blessings of this world but look at your existence here as a temporary life. Eternal life with Him will be far greater. But that doesn't mean life here should be hell on earth for you. There are struggles and there's much darkness but even in fallen creation, we can see God's love and mercy shine through.

? I've been a Christian for many years. Some days I'm just more human (sinful) than other days. The Holy Spirit's working on me.
Also, I've seen nothing to suggest that Blain is anything other than a follower of Christ.

That's fine.... Within the system. Again the most easiest way to understand where I'm coming from is the movie The Matrix. If someone or something is not completely unplugged from it, then they work for the system.

Those 30,000 kids would love to see God's happiness but we will never have enough money to feed them. We do however have enough food!

Now Jesus chose you, while you were a sinner, cleaned you up and now you're a christian. All done by His grace. But you believe that God somehow leave the rest out to dry having not chosen them.

If you couldn't do a thing to be chosen, why believe they must clean up their act before they get picked?

And if you still sin, being called the circumcised according to the flesh (true christian), why then compel those who are called uncircumcised (all non christians) to be as you?

Remember you still sin so what's the difference?

Is it belief? Well, even devils believe and tremble!

In other words even Hitler believed in a higher power.

What on earth? I never said anyone had to clean up their act before they approached Christ. Nor did I say to not tell people the Good News of Jesus Christ. I don't know where you're getting this stuff from. I want non-Christians to share in God's glory and goodness and the hope he brings to this life and the next. God offers his grace through his Son, Jesus Christ, to all people. He gives them the opportunity to accept his grace but not all respond accordingly. Some reject his grace. That's on them, not Christ and not me.

I'm gonna help you out Tintin, Jesus had thousands of people listen to His preaching. some tens of thousands. He never once said to a person, you are not living right therefore I cannot heal you. The bible says that He healed them all. Thank God for the cross.

I understand that Kerry. But what Spirit is talking about is salvation, not mere healing. God gives us the faith to have faith in Him. Not all respond positively to His offer of grace, some reject it. Therefore, they reject Christ. Therefore, they're not Christians. There's still the opportunity to turn to God though.

Just telling someone that Christ is the only way means nothing to one who speaks another language who grew up to Allah.

How do you SHOW that Christ is they only way?

Now again many who say that He says He never knew.

Tin tin,the cross and nothing else. We are sanctified by the cross and not our works. We must rely on the cross. Can you suggest anything else. My friend and my brother,

You are correct but again I ask you, what does "coming to the cross" mean? (without using the word "cross".

Spirit, I agree with your last post. That's where faith discussions come in. You let the Holy Spirit work through you, as you minister to the Muslim person (or what-have-you). As you explain your beliefs and they theirs, you both receive understanding. Sharing God's Word and his role in your life is the way to go, make it honest and personal. You just need to be willing to be God's instrument, the Holy Spirit will do the rest. God has no boundaries.

Kerry, not relying on the cross itself but Christ and his righteous sacrifice (on the cross). Again, I have never said anywhere that works are what save us. Are you confusing me with someone else? I believe in salvation by faith alone (the biblical understanding).

Coming to the cross, means that you have exhausted your efforts. Then realising that the cross is the only means. That my friend is sanctification, And it lasts as long as you live.
