The cross saves but only because of what Christ Jesus did there (and because he followed up his suffering and death with his resurrection).

Spirit, I agree with your last post. That's where faith discussions come in. You let the Holy Spirit work through you, as you minister to the Muslim person (or what-have-you). As you explain your beliefs and they theirs, you both receive understanding. Sharing God's Word and his role in your life is the way to go, make it honest and personal. You just need to be willing to be God's instrument, the Holy Spirit will do the rest. God has no boundaries.

Kerry, not relying on the cross itself but Christ and his righteous sacrifice (on the cross). Again, I have never said anywhere that works are what save us. Are you confusing me with someone else? I believe in salvation by faith alone (the biblical understanding).
Again they speak two different languages from two different cultures and traditions..

Jesus said that whatever you do to the least of His brethren, you do to Him.

You show another that Christ is the only way by giving that muslim a house to live in, food to eat, and the best life you'd want for your life and family, to his!

Well, that works too but not every non-Christian you come across in life is without any of those. Some just don't have Jesus.

Coming to the cross, means that you have exhausted your efforts. Then realising that the cross is the only means. That my friend is sanctification, And it lasts as long as you live.
The cross means death. If all, including our Lord died, then all will live through that death.

Whatever we "know" goes to the grave upon death, whether good or bad. From that point of view and thinking, no matter what I may have thought or another about the concept of God, only One power has the capacity to rescue both from this state.

A dead man knows nothing, but we yet live. So in this new state of mind, I only know Christ crucified. And believing that He rose to never die again, I understand that since all walk this path, and that all look alike knowing neither good or evil, we will all live again.

That to me is the cross.

So, you're a universalist? You believe all will eventually come to know Christ and that one's beliefs don't matter diddly-squat?

True. But whether they do or not, if both Jesus and His followers pay rent light and gas along with Allah and those that follow Him, then to the world they are the same.

Love us unconditional. If I love myself and see myself saved, I can only see the same for all my brothers.

You became a christian because you believed in a power higher than yourself. It is expressed in the form of christianity because our tradition and culture in this part of the world. The same thing happens to the muslim. He is in search of the same as you. The problem comes in when we battle over who has the wisest fruit so to speak. There is but one God who does miracles for both the christian and the muslim. But they both ascribe that power to the religion and not the creator who is all in all.

If I just believed in a power greater than myself, I would be an agnostic, not a Christian. What makes me a Christian, is my faith in Christ Jesus and his righteous sacrifice. Every person on this earth is in search of the Truth, but not all recognise God as that One Absolute Truth. Christ and his grace is available to people from every single religion and those without but Christians and Muslims don't serve the same God.

Again only the world sees many gods. It is only the appearance which deceives.

Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Noah, Joshua, David, Moses or John was not a christian.

THe cross tintin the cross and don't deviate from it. There is nothing else. Most don't see it but you do. Always keep it in the fore front. I know its hard, I fail at times, but you know its the truth.

The Church refers to the Body of Christ (JC's followers), so you don't need to go to church (as in the building) but you do need to be in regular community with other believers to learn, challenge, encourage and support each other - to grow in your faith and live out your faith in your community.

Then to who all those Letters were sent if not to a Church in different places as organization which gather believers in a building?
Church is very visible.

The letters were sent to house churches around Europe and Asia. Of course the Church is visible, but a gathering of believers doesn't need a church building to be Church.

Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?

'Church' begins at 30m 30s...all are welcome!

I doubt that it gets any more beautiful (HOLY) than this!

But in the same night the word of the Lord came to Nathan, saying, “Go and say to My servant David, ‘Thus says the Lord, “Are you the one who should build Me a house to dwell in?

But will God really dwell on earth? The heavens, even the highest heaven, cannot contain you. How much less this temple I have built!

"Can a man hide himself in hiding places So I do not see him?" declares the LORD. "Do I not fill the heavens and the earth?" declares the LORD.

But who is able to build a house for Him, for the heavens and the highest heavens cannot contain Him? So who am I, that I should build a house for Him, except to burn incense before Him?

The God who made the world and all things in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands; nor is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything, since He Himself gives to all people life and breath and all things; and He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation, that they would seek God, if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; for in Him we live and move and exist, as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His children.’

A couple of thoughts here.....God certainly can abide on earth. Is not the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit God? Does He not dwell within us?

As for being served by human hands, well I suppose that depends on your definition of such. Is our doing His Will, not serving Him? Is our working for His Kingdom not serving Him? Is being obedient to His Commandments not serving Him?

Seems to me that all believers are to SERVE Him....but, now, that may just be me. :)

If you need to ask the question then it seems evident that you need to attend church. Even more to attend a good bible preaching church.
