This is still true too...the enemy is having a field day with this lose your salvation nonsense. It's whole purpose is to question the work, the love and the grace of God that is towards us in Christ.
You're copying and pasting again Grace.
This is not nice.

THE DEVIL IS HAVING A FIELD DAY WITH OSAS.

Think well about it. If we're to do nothing after salvation, why get saved?
We're supposed to be doing God's work - helping Him out here on earth , creating God's Kingdom HERE.

If we're not doing that and are self-satisfied because we're saved NO MATTER WHAT,
Does that sound like a God plan or like a satan plan?

Do me it sounds very satanic.

My, my. Why waste time responding to my post when you can just go straight for the jugular?
I'm sorry.
That's not what I intended.
Are you JK??

Could you repeat what you said in English??
I think you agree with me, but with all that Latin, how could I be sure!!

Again,
IF we are members of THE CHURCH, the invisible body of Christ, then, yes, we are PART OF HIM.
We are the BRIDE.

If we do NOT DESIRE to be in THE CHURCH, or in THE BODY, or be a BRIDE,

HOW CAN GOD FORCE US???
Because he is Lord of our salvation. He bought us with a price(His death) and we are not our own.

I don't believe he forces us to walk with Him after He saves us. How can we glorify the Lord if He is forcing us to produce fruit and divine works.

All believers enter the Kingdom, but not all will inherit the kingdom.

He will deny us reign, rank, rewards, uniforms, titles and many inheritance blessings if we don't choose to live the christian way of life. but salvation is SURE.

IOW

Yes. I like this OSAS idea. It's a great idea.
I'm sorry it's not true.
I got saved when I was 28. I'd love to think I'll be saved no matter what.
I have a couple of cute neighbors I might be interested in... but I'm married.
So I do what Jesus would have me to do - or not do.
The Holy Spirit within me helps me to not have desires many of my friends have.
I don't like to lie.
I don't believe in stealing - incl husbands.

Let's face it...
I'm just perfect!!

§The people FreeIn Christ and I are talking about are not "just men".

YOU and I are just men.
These were theologians and doctors of the early Church.
Give them some respect since you have the Christian "religion" because of them
and also the bible, I might add. They safeguarded it for you. (the letters and gospel until they were put together into a book)
The scripture is of no private interpretation and John was clear...I have no need that any man teach me anything (none of us do) because the Holy Spirit (ago hodos) goes before and leads and guides into ALL truth.....and I have no RELIGION....JESUS condemned religion...Christianity is a way of life not a religion!

Yes. I hear this often from your side of the isle.

Care to list some verses explaining what the REWARD is, or are.

No one ever does...

Absolutely....some have works of gold, silver and precious stones and some of wood, hay and stubble.....and some like the prodigal will live riotously yet will be received as a SON and was a SON throughout the whole ordeal.......

I agree with you re religion. That's why I put it in quotes. See. You don't REALLY read my posts.

Now, not wanting to be taught by men is rather arrogant of you.
But I don't believe you.
Did you not tell me that you studied 4 semesters of biblical stuff??
Were you lying?

Also, explain THIS to me.

If we're both reading the same bible
and the Holy Spirit is guiding us into all truth...

HOW COME WE DON'T AGREE???

Everyone stop and listen to me!
This is the complete explanation of OSAS.
Anything else is someone's addition.

[h=1]Psalm 23King James Version (KJV)[/h] 23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
[SUP]2 [/SUP]He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

The Prodigal Son got his inheritance BEFORE LEAVING.
HE decided to come back home.
No one went looking for him because the Father understood that he did not want to be part of the household anymore.
But, of course, he was waiting with open arms. Just like God would be.

If he got his inheritance before leaving, what else could he possibly have received HAD HE NEVER RETURNED HOME??

Did you ever hear of disinheriting children?

I agree!

The Lord IS MY SHEPHERD.
HE LEADS ME.
THOU ART WITH ME.

I read everything you direct at me
Never said that I did not want to be taught by men or that I have not gleaned truths from men (your addition)
No. said I had 4 semester hours of Church History (4 years of Seminary to make up for lost time)
NO...was not lying....I have no need to lie about my education
My Honest answer to your last question...you have gone to seed on a few things and are not honest with the scriptures...

Salvation is the root...if one misses the mark on salvation they have no spiritual basis to compare spiritual with spiritual.....numerous people have shown you the validity of an aorist tense verb and the present continuing result from a past completed action which is biblical.....

Have you for ONE second considered the fact that you may be wrong in your belief or assessment?

I can honestly say that there are numerous things I was taught growing up in Church that I no longer believe based upon a willingness to be open to learning and instruction.....even now...if one can emphatically prove to me something from the bible I will adjust my belief and embrace the truth.....

Pride is the biggest reason people will not be open to learning and instruction....I have heard men say...well my Mom believed this or my great, great grand pappy believed this or my dad believed this and if it was good enough for him it is good enough for me....

This logic is foolish and many a man will end up cooking because they refused to listen to the simple truth from the word of God!

God's ways are higher than our ways...

Jesus said...

I WILL NEVER leave thee nor FORSAKE THEE
He that BEGAN the good work WILL FINISH it....

The FATHER did not search because HE ASSUMED his child was DEAD even though HE was very much ALIVE and a SON through the whole process......

Reigning with Him to name just one. If we don't live the Christian way of life, he will deny our reign with Him.

New American Standard Bible
If we endure, we will also reign with Him; If we deny Him, He also will deny us;

God will keep you safe because YOU desire it.

Colossians 1:21-23 New International Version (NIV)

21 Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of[a] your evil behavior.
22 But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation—
23 if you continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.
You're mixing justification passages with sanctification passages, and you left the lid off the blender and have made a terrible mess.

Great.
so let's try not to LOSE THAT LIFE.

Eternal life starts HERE.
The Kingdom starts here.

If we want to be a part of it - the part that comes AFTER (our Death)
WE MUST BE IN IT HERE.
Eternal life does not "start", it can only be received. And that only in the One who alone has it.

Brethren - we are not redeemed until our next failure. The blood of the Lord Jesus Christ speaks of better things.

We have eternal redemption
because of what Christ has already done and the fact that we are one spirit with Him. In Him we have eternal redemption through His blood - not by what we do or don't do.

Hebrews 9:12 (NASB)
[SUP]12 [/SUP] and not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, He entered the holy place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.

Ephesians 1:7 (NASB)
[SUP]7 [/SUP] In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace

Colossians 1:14 (KJV)
[SUP]14 [/SUP] In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

We have = present tense - present tense is always present tense. When tomorrow comes - it will be present tense then too.

Does this make us want to go out and sin all we want? No, a thousand times No! Of course not - why?

Because "knowing this truth" releases the grace of God in our lives to operate to produce His life in and through us. Jesus said
"You shall know the truth and that truth shall make you free."

It's time to "repent and believe the gospel" like Jesus said in Mark 1:15 After all it is not called the "good news" for no reason.

We have a great and wondrous salvation but it is all in Christ and what He has already done. We receive this all by grace through faith. As we have received Christ - so we walk in Him in like manner.
