The only thing GOD rested from on the 7th day was creating the natural world. It was finished, perfect and complete. There was nothing left to do. That's why he stopped.

Well, ask yourself why then did he not just stop at 6 days. God is not bound by time. He could have rested for all eternity after working for 6 days. He actually created time. So, he created the 7the day for rest as a foretaste of things to come..

hey, Why did he Bless the Land of Canaan? Why did He Bless Jacob and not Esau?

hey, Why did he Bless the Land of Canaan? Why did He Bless Jacob and not Esau?

Why did you change the sabbath to the first day yet donot follow the rules of how a sabbath is to be kept if Sunday is indeed the new sabbath

Just a couple of thoughts to throw out there and think about.

Wasn't it thoughtful of God to begin the 4th commandment with the word REMEMBER the Sabbath day. Why would He begin it that way unless He knew that we might forget or maybe that the day might be changed some where in time? How gracious of Him to ask us to Remember.

2nd thought - Why do we have to attack each other in some of our responses? I've heard it said and they will know that they are Christians by their love. Where's the love on some of our responses? I would hope that we are all trying to become more like Jesus and remember that we are all growing Christians some further along than others. Aren't we all seeking the truth? Aren't we all trying to follow Jesus where ever He leads? I just ask that we think about the growing Christians on this site and show the love that we are commissioned to share. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life - no man comes to the Father except through Him. Blessings to all at the end of this Sabbath day November 23rd, 2013 - JesusLives

Many will say because we are "free of the law" we no longer have any need to observe the commandments, because they are written on our hearts, and this is true, and because they are written on our hearts we do not have any further need to read them because the veil of Moses is removed for us. Therefor we no longer have need to see them in print, though we do and should always study the Word, we do them as dictated by our new nature, having put on Yeshua. Yeshua did not have to be told to love the Father or his neighbor, because He knows to.

Does anyone here believe the commandments are invalid just because they are now written on our hearts? This is a diabolical attitude. Now, with all on our hearts we do not need to read not to kill, we know not to. This applies to all the commandments and laws on moral behavior. Yes we study them, but our new nature makes it so we do not need to constantly refer to our former tutor, yet what the tutor has taught is correct, mercy where the Lord shows mercy, obedience where the Lord shows obedience.

He is our new nature, and He is our Example.

Do not pervert the meaning of having the law inscribed on our hearts as some satanic excuse not to obey the Father. If you believe "you want to be good," then you are obeying Him if Yeshua is your Savior. What do you think "being good" is other than obeying our Father. It does not take a rocket scientist to understand this basic teaching from the Word.

Once you lose the false caricature that those who stand against the antiChrist doctrines of law above grace and law mixed with grace, are standing against law itself, your comments will be cogent and whole.

The real question should be for who was the Sabbath made. God Almighty knew that man cannot work 7/7 and that is why He blessed and holied the 7th day of the creation week and He instructed man to rest on the Sabbath. But the Sabbath is not just to rest on but also to spend this day glorifying God and Jesus Christ for what They have done for man, and to have fellowship with the same believers and to instruct each other on the Word of God as not everybody knows the Word of God. The believers have to also reach out to the non-believers but not specifically on a Sabbath, but on all days. All days cannot also be seen as a Sabbath day as only the last day in the seven day cycle of creation was blessed and holied.

God is Great and He is a loving God. God has a lot of time for His creation which includes man. As you rightly point out, God reminds us to remember the Sabbath day and in this world the churches are to be blamed for not spreading the Truth.
Regarding your second comment, many people react when you tell them something which contradicts their beliefs. This has been my experience. That is natural and also the influence of Satan working. The wise man will look at the facts and will then decide what is right or wrong and depending on his belief, will he change or not. Some people see such response as attacks whilst others would see it as positive criticism. Many people out there are searching for the Truth as they are confused because of all the different teachings in the churches. So if somebody attack you about something you have said and you know it is the Truth, accept that. You have planted the seed of Truth in Him and pray to God that He will open the eyes of that person. Jesus also attacked people when they were doing business on the Sabbath in the Church. He was right and the others wrong. He did not apologise as He knew He was right. Do not feel bad if somebody attacks you, rather pray for him especially when you know that you are right.

Yes...it's a shame when navigating from one issue to another one's labeled as being from this group or that group, when in reality we're just trying follow scripture only and return to the faith once held by the saints.

I have family who are adamantly against the Roman Catholic Church, and yet when you tell them that many of their doctrines they firmly hold as true came directly from Roman Catholicism they either make excuses or ignore what I say. There are literally publications directly from the pen of Roman Catholic officials stating that "the change of the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday was *our mark* of authority..." in the faith. When I read that years ago, that alone sent red flags up. And yet lockstep they follow this man-made decree because "it's what we've always done, and I can't see God having a problem with it". Yet how many times do we have to read God saying "Sabbath...throughout *ALL* your generation" or "do not add to or take away from the commands I give you".

I don't get it...

Yahshua, all I can advise you is to pray for them. God will listen to your prayers and He knows who earnestly you are about this. There is also a saying in the RCC that once a child of the RCC always a child of the RCC. That is why they like to teach the young so that they can teach them the doctrines of the church. They are also taught that they must never question the priest as he is always right and you have to accept what he says. It is a major brainwash within the church. The RCC wants to control the whole world with their teachings. Even Billy Graham studied within the RCC and he teaches RCC doctrines in the Charismatic churches. This is how Satan works. He uses all recources in and out of the church to spread the lie. Good luck in your search for the Truth.
