I take him quite seriously he didn't post scripture but what he said is of scripture. At least he doesn't use scripture so willy nilly like many others do. Scripture is holy and sacred it is not a toy or tool for us to prove ourselves right and others wrong scripture far to often is used as a weapon against other believers who people disagree with verse after verse is posted but neither side gives in or acknoledges the verse they just post another verse to counter it.

This dishonors God and his word the scriptures are to be used as weapons against the enemy not each other we are to use them to teach build encourage and uphold each other to guide each other to heal each other yet everyone thinks because they post a verse they cherry picked they are in the right and it is used to harm others or to only prove themselves right

People who teach false doctrine and heresy will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Heresy is a work of the flesh.

Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. Galatians 5:19-21

  • that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Let’s be people of God who teach the truth from the scriptures.

His commandments are about love; loving God and loving our brothers and sisters in Christ.

By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. 1 John 5:2-3

  • this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments.

Why would anyone who is a Christian, be against loving and obeying our God?

Born again Christians who do not remain “in Christ”, no longer have the eternal life they once had “in Christ”; eternal life is only found “in Christ”.

Jesus is speaking to those “in Him”.

If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. John 15:6

Jesus plainly warn those who who are “in Him” to remain “in Him”.

Here is how we are instructed to remain “in Christ”.

Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us. 1 John 3:24

His commandments are about love; loving God and loving our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
1 John 2:3-4

  • by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments

  • He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

“I know Him” = Eternal life

JPT
How can you be in Christ and then not be in Christ? When someone is born again, their spirit is made alive to God in Christ. They have passed from death to life. They have been adopted into the family of God and are now a child of God. This cannot be reversed. This is permanent. The holy spirit is given to those who are born again as a guarantee of their inheritance.

One way is to be removed by God.

I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. John 15:1-2

Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him. 1 John 3:15

If I begin to desire the things my neighbor has (covet), even his wife, so that I steal from my brother and commit adultery with his wife.

Is this loving my brother or hating him?

John 6:35And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. 36But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not. 37All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. 38For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. 39And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. 40And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Before this in chapter 5 He said —

Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice and come forth—those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation.
John 5:28-29

Ephesians 1:10That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: 11In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: 12That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. 13In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, 14Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

2 Corinthians 1: 20For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. 21Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; 22Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

If we live a life of walking according to the flesh we will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him. 1 John 3:15

But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them.

So because you disagree it is heresy? I noticed you used the term losing eternal salvation what does the word eternal mean to you? And perhaps I am wrong so correct me if I am mistaken but I was under the impression that eternal doesn't mean temporary
Love first and foremost is what any believer must seek and have when one has the love of God in them when they obtain that intimacy with him they forge a bond and covenant that can never be broken or lost not by any person nor any army of the devil and especially not by teachers like you

Only those who have known the intimacy I speak of and know the closeness and bond with him understand how grace and obedience works you can show all the verses you want but remember the Pharisee's knew the Torah by heart as well

The scriptures is truth all of his word is not just the parts you choose did I not say this would happen? Back and forth verse after verse and yet has anyone changed their stance?

This is why the scriptures are not tools of war you can call your view truth and find verses to fit your narrative but yet refuse to accept scriptures presented to you that oppose it that isn't truth that is your truth that isn't the heart of bible student it is the heart of a teacher who has yet to graduate from a student.

The word of God is not a toy and is not for our personal agenda it is holy sacred and should be treated with care especially in how we use it it is not something for you to demand of others and then use as you see fit because maybe you forgot God doesn't fit into your agenda you fit into his if you want to talk about obeying God then repent and return to your first love because you think yourself more wise than you are and you stand on a rock of your own making not on the rock of God becareful and tread lightly because it is a slippery slope

The word of God is the truth. Those who obey the truth receive eternal life.

Those who obey unrighteousness receive condemnation.

God, who “will render to each one according to his deeds”: eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness—indignation and wrath, Romans 2:6-8

And yet if scripture opposes your view you dismiss it is that how you treat the truth? From what I can tell as along as it fits your narrative it is truth but if not then it isn't it is a biased view of truth and you contradict yourself in doing so.
Now as for obeying who are you say who is obeying God or not? Do you know others hearts? do you know if you have a plank in your eye before you point out another persons? Their salvation is not for you to decide that right remains alone with God

You post no scripture.

Yours is scripture-less man made doctrine, that rejects the doctrine of Christ.

plenty of scripture has been provided

perhaps the actual problem is that you do not recognize scripture

on the one hand, this thread has been adequately illustrated by several posters

on the other hand, it is both shameful and sad that it is so
