I didn't bring up the analogy in the first place. Plus its a little different for a child to hurt itself and learn from the experience so he doesn't do it again. Plus all children who follow won't suffer because a kid touched a stove.

I don't recall eve having the same privelidge. One strike and she was out.. So to speak.

Not even a warning or anything. Instant curse for the rest of humanity.
The curse came through Adam, not Eve - she didn't receive direct instructions from God as Adam did.
Adam was the one that did and he heeded to his wife, he had plenty of warning.

Just a correction, if your gonna tell the story may as well tell it right :)

In other words, would a loving parent stop their children from playing baseball just because they got hurt once? No. It's a part of the game. They learn in playing and train themselves so as to be a better athlete. It's the same thing with a person who loves God. They are athletes or soldiers for God. They know that the hardships and trials they might face is just going to make them better athletes and or soldiers for the Lord (So as to deepen their relationship in loving God more and in loving all people even more, - Especially their enemies).
So what did eve learn? What chance did she have not to do it again? How did she become better from this experience?

Doesn't matter if you brought up the analogy or not. It doesn't apply. One needs to have all the available facts so as to make the right analogy and or to stand by such an analogy.

Eve knew full well what she was getting into. She tried to make excuses to cover up her sin, but the Lord knew better. In other words, it wouldn't have mattered if God warned her more or if he tried to do more things to prevent her to not sin. God knew she would have sinned anyways. God gave mankind "free will" so that he can choose to love God of their own choice. For true love can only exist if two parties both agree to love each other. Again, if mankind was just capable of loving only they would not appreciate and love God in the same way as those who choose God (having the "free will choice."). Yeah, but why did God create us knowing we would do the wrong thing? Is "true love" really that worth it? Yes. For God it was worth it. For God would show forth His love to His creation and His creation would in turn love Him back. Not a forced love. But a love relationship that is deep and meaningful.

Well whoever it was.. There is a lot of talk about people making mistakes and then learning from them. How does it apply to what happened to Adam and/or Eve?

So all that stuff about learning from mistakes or getting hurt doesnt really apply then.

I just edited the last paragraph in my post #43 to be a little more clearer.

Cause and effect. Once he ate, he knew what it was to sin, everything changed. Then that knowledge spread to his offspring and eventually down to us now.

No, Adam and Eve sure learned by their mistake in hurting God. In fact, mankind (i.e. any of us today) would have made the same exact decision Adam and Eve would have made if we were in their place. Man knowing his freedom in not being with God and the Lord's good ways will be driven by curiosity to see what it would be like without God. That is the lesson in all of this. We are here to realize that we need God and His love for our lives. Knowing how much all of us have chosen the wrong way (Because of our own selfishiness and sin, we then realize just how much we need God). But it is again... a free will particpation on our part. God wants "true love" and not forced love. Sometimes in a relationship between a husband and wife there is going to be hurt, heart ache, arguments, disagreements, etc. But for many loving married couples, the love shared between them far outweighs any bad or challenges that they have gone thru.

In this life: We realize that we are nothing without God. In this life: We realize just how loving and merciful the Lord really is. Again, which is only possible if the Lord gives us the "free will choice" to love Him (Which is "true love").

Would you possibly agree that a lot of people may love god out of a fear of going to hell? I don't want to build any strawmen if that's not the case lol.

So please repent of your sins that are holding you back, my friend. Accept Jesus Christ as your Savior. For God wants a real loving right relationship with you. A relationship that will indeed be "True love" if you so choose to accept Him.

For me to love him, I have to believe he exists. Point A to point B.

I can't even move to the love position because I cant even get to the first position.

It could also be argued that my freedom of choice is being taken away from me. The lack of evidence for gods existence doesn't allow me to make a choice to love him.

Let's prove he exists first, then I can make a decision whether I want a loving relationship with him or not.

I don't believe Hell is everlasting torment in fire. I don't believe the Scriptures teach that. God will destroy all sin and evil.

So I will not exist at all if I die a non believer?

When a person dies an unbeliever, they go to Torments (Hell). This is not a torture chamber in flames. It is more like an uncomfortable prison or a holding place until the Judgment. Unbelievers or those who rejected God in this life (Even false believers) will be destroyed both body and soul in Gehenna, i.e. the Lake of Fire (After the Judgment).

Interesting. Destroyed?

You believe Hell is only temporary and after judgement non-believers will be destroyed - their existence terminated - no eternal separation from God?

I realize you don't think he exists. Scripture tells me you are without excuse and you know He exists deep down because of the creation. For me, I know He exists personally because I have a loving relationship with Him. I cannot see God with my own two eyes currently, but I know He is there. I cannot see air yet I know air exists and I know it is there. For example: If you didn't believe air existed, I would try and get you to do things so as to test to see if such a concept as air existed. In other words, what I am trying to say is that you should test to see if God exists. Look at the observable evidences that back up God's Word with an open mind and call upon the Lord. Indulge me. Seek the truth. Make Him known and He will be known to you. So accepting Point A, involves testing out Point B. In other words, for me to drive from Point A to Point B, I need to start going towards point B (Even if I am not sure of my position of Point A). Test it out. Seek the truth. For Jesus is the way, the Truth, and the Life.

Well, lets just say it was not an overnight decision I made in regards to Conditional Immortality (CI) over Eternal Conscious Torment (ECT) when examining the Scriptures (And when asking God to help show me the truth on such said topic). If you are interested, you can find my discussions and points I made on this topic with Scripture here:

Right at 5:20 of the video, they seriously blew it. They presented the "supernatural" as a thing or an effect. Whereas the Holy Spirit is a person. They don't get it because the spiritual is not understood with the carnal mind. THAT'S the paradox. To an atheist, becoming a Christian is like forfeiting logic for foolishness. In reality, it is abandoning the carnal mind for the mind of Christ Jesus. And until they do come to the end of their vanity and pride and surrender to the Lord Jesus, they cannot understand the things of the spirit.

If you want a deeper understanding of the Lord, you only need to spend time with Him, talk to Him, and listen to Him. :D

OK, very simply.. What are the observable evidences?
