Hello again,

They are very smooth words Ahwatukee but....How does the new testament tell us the way to love one another? Your tryin to tell me we need not keep Gods 10 commandments because we are givin a new testament commandment “to love one another”. Problem is the new testament scriptures tell us how to “love one another”.
I promise you, they are not meant to be smooth, but to contend for the truth and accuracy of God's word. What I am saying is that we are not under the law period! Jesus met the law's righteous requirements for us, fulfilling it perfectly and completely. Now that Jesus has come, we are under the original covenant that was made with Abraham. Those who have the same faith as Abraham are also credit with righteousness. Those who have the same faith are those whom were being spoken of when God told Abraham that he would be the father of many nations. We are those spiritual descendants, as the following scripture demonstrates:

"Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So The words “it was credited to him” were written not for him alone, but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness—for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.

Now that Christ has appeared and we are covered by His righteous blood and because He met the righteous requirements of the law on our behalf, we are free in Christ. I have never put myself under the law as a means to salvation, but have followed after Christ, trusting in Him as the One who provided salvation for me by what He did and not by what I could do.

Your tryin to tell me we need not keep Gods 10 commandments because we are givin a new testament commandment “to love one another”. Problem is the new testament scriptures tell us how to “love one another”.

1JOHN 5 [2] By this WE KNOW THAT WE LOVE THE CHILDREN OF GOD, when we love God, and keep his commandments. [3] For THIS IS THE LOVE OF GOD, THAT WE KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS: and his commandments are not grievous.

To love the children of God, we are to keep the commandments

2JOHN1 [5] And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that WE LOVE ONE ANOTHER.[6] And THIS IS LOVE, THAT WE WALK AFTER HIS COMMANDMENTS. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

Love one another. Keep the commandments

JAMES 2 [8] If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR AS THYSELF, ye do well: [9] But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.[10] For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.[11] For he that said, DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, said also, DO NOT KILL. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.

ROMANS 13 [8] Owe no man any thing, but to LOVE ONE ANOTHER: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.[9] For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, THOU SHALT NOT STEAL, Thou shalt not bear false witness, THOU SHALT NOT COVET; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.[10] Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

I decided to show the scripture of James 2 and Romans 13 which explain to us how we are to show our love for one another because im sure the next thing i hear is that it is not the 10 commandments being mentioned. But as you can see in these scriptures, adultry killing, stealing, bearing false witness, covetness are mentioned. And i suppose i will hear you say that since the “keeping of the sabbath” is not mentioned or “thou shalt have no other gods before me" is not mentioned these commandments can be ignored. Not so.
Do you feel that keeping yourself from evil is work for you? It is a joy for those who love Jesus and want to present themselves to Him as a pure bride. Can only be done by being washed by His blood first and then keeping ourselves from evil. I never thought of it as work. Loving Jesus gives you a want-to attitude. Bearing fruit comes naturally. We know each other by our fruits. It is natural for an apple tree to produce apples. It is not a painful thing. I have good news for you, my friend; It is the new and better way. That's why we call it the New Testament.

The scriptures are clear. Follow the directions to the city. Keep Gods 10 commandments if you wish to enter the city {the kingdom rest}
Again, the commands that He is speaking of are not the ten commandments nor the law of Moses. No one will ever enter eternal life by claiming to keep the ten commandments. The more time goes on, the more I see what Jesus is talking about when He says, "In that day many will say to me." And that because I continue to see that there are many who do not even understand salvation. Anyone who goes to Jesus with "Lord, I kept the ten commandments and I kept the Sabbath on Saturday" He will say, "depart from me. I never knew you!" Why? Because instead of trusting in what Christ did, they will have trusted in their attempt to keep the ten commandments and the Sabbath and holy days and whatever other works they are doing to earn eternal life.

We follow in the new way, being lead by the Spirit and not by the written code.

Not according to the Word

PSALM 119 [21] Thou hast rebuked THE PROUD that are cursed, which DO ERR FROM THY COMMANDMENTS.

PSALM 119 [85] THE PROUD have digged pits for me, which ARE NOT AFTER THY LAW. [86] All thy commandments are faithful: they persecute me wrongfully; help thou me.

MALACHI 4 [1] For, BEHOLD, THE DAY COMETH, that shall burn as an oven; and ALL THE PROUD, yea, and all that do wickedly, SHALL BE STUBBLE: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. [2] But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. [3] And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the Lord of hosts. [4] REMEMBER YE THE LAW OF MOSES my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments. [5] Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful DAY OF THE LORD:

ROMANS 1 [30] Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, PROUD, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, [31] Without understanding, COVENANTBREAKERS, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

Aint the Word of God great!

I'm sorry wall, but am having a hard time understanding what you are saying here. Under the new covenant., we are called to the law of faith in the finished work of Jesus. That is our calling, to magnify the Son in our lives and to believe we are the righteousness of God IN Christ. Believing this honors Jesus and honoring Jesus honors God.

Before faith came to each and everyone of us, we are under the law {the 10 commandments, the schoolmaster}. So, according to this scripture you are kept under the law of the 10 commandments (the schoolmaster) until you are justified by faith in Christ. No shortcuts. Then there is no condemnation. After we have been brought to faith in Christ, do we then make void the law or are we to still be keeping Gods law?
Rom 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
There is no condemnation to those who walk after the Spirit only, not to the Christian who walks after the flesh.

Anyone looking for directions to the city. The 1000 yr period of rest
By the way, the New Jerusalem doesn't come down from heaven until after the 1000 year reign of Christ and after this present heaven and earth depart. Jesus will be ruling from the throne of David from the present city of Jerusalem after He cleans up the earth for His millennial reign.

Hi oyster. Heres some scriptures to ponder as to why you will find that not one tittle of the law has been made void and how Jesus fulfilled what was written in the law

ZECH.9 [9] Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.[10] And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem, and the battle bow shall be cut off: and he shall speak peace unto the heathen: and his dominion shall be from sea even to sea, and from river even to the ends of the earth.[11] As for thee also, BY THE BLOOD OF THY COVENANT I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water

Verse 9 definately prophecies of the coming Jesus. Verse 11, Jesus is called the blood of thy covenant

HEBREWS 12 [23] To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,[24] And to Jesus THE MEDIATOR OF THE NEW COVENANT, AND TO THE BLOOD of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

New covenant...blood

LUKE 22 [19] And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. [20] Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, THIS CUP IS THE NEW TESTAMENT IN MY BLOOD, which is shed for you.

New testament...blood

HEBREWS 9 [1] Then verily THE FIRST COVENANT HAD ALSO ORDINANCES of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary. [9] Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;[10] WHICH STOOD ONLY IN MEATS AND DRINKS, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.[12] NEITHER BY THE BLOOD OF GOATS AND CALVES, BUT BY HIS OWN BLOOD he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

old covenant...blood of goats

HEBREWS 10 [1] For THE LAW HAVING A SHADOW of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.[2] For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.[3] But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.[4] FOR IT IS NOT POSSIBLE THAT THE BLOOD OF BULLS AND OF GOATS SHOULD TAKE AWAY SINS.[5] Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:[6] In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.[7] Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.[8] Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;[9] Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. HE TAKETH AWAY THE FIRST, THAT HE MAY ESTABLISH THE SECOND.

old testament...blood of bulls and goats; the shadow of Christ

He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.

JOHN 6 [53] Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. [54] Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. [55] For MY FLESH IS MEAT INDEED, and MY BLOOD IS DRINK INDEED.

And theres the 2nd

By the way theres not only directions to the city but also directions to the bottomless pit

PSALM 94 [11] The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.12] Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law;[13] That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.

Teach man out of thy law, until pit digged for the wicked. The bottomless pit?

PSALM 119 [84] How many are the days of thy servant? when wilt thou execute judgment on them that persecute me? [85] THE PROUD HAVE DIGGED PITS FOR ME, which are not after thy law.[86] All thy commandments are faithful: they persecute me wrongfully; help thou me.

They who are not after the law have dug pits and ALL thy commandments are faithful...the 4th?

PROVERBS 28 [9] HE THAT TURNETH AWAY HIS EAR FROM HEARING THE LAW, even his prayer shall be abomination.[10] Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way, HE SHALL FALL HIMSELF INTO HIS OWN PIT: but the upright shall have good things in possession.

Those who turn from hearing the law will fall into pit they themselves dug for me

PSALM 7 [15] He made a pit, and digged it, and is fallen into the ditch which he made.

ISAIAH 24 [3] The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken this word.[4] The earth mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish.[5] The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; BECAUSE THEY HAVE TRANSGRESSED THE LAWS, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.[6] Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.......[17] Fear, and THE PIT, and the snare, are upon thee, O inhabitant of the earth.[18] And it shall come to pass, that he who fleeth from the noise of the fear shall FALL INTO THE PIT; and he that cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth do shake.[22] And they shall be gathered together, AS PRISONERS ARE GATHERED IN THE PIT, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited.

Well, heres the end of the story. The DAY OF THE LORD. Those that practice transgressing the law of God will end up in the pit and scripture says in Revelation that those that keep the commandments of God (Exodus 20) and have the testimony of Jesus will end up in the Kingdom. Those in the pit will be visited after many days. A thousand years maybe?

REV.20 [1] And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of THE BOTTOMLESS PIT and a great chain in his hand.[2] And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,[3] And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

YUP. A thousand years. Looks like those that do not observe to keep Gods 10 commandments will be having some company in the pit.

Im guessing you believe you are saved already? The born again thing? Not so.

1PETER1
[4] To AN INHERITANCE INCORRUPTIBLE, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
[5] Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto SALVATION READY TO BE REVEALED IN THE LAST TIME.
[9] Receiving the END OF YOUR FAITH, EVEN THE SALVATION OF YOUR SOULS.[10] Of which salvation the prophets have inquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:
[13] Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and HOPE TO THE END FOR THE GRACE THAT IS TO BE BROUGHT UNTO YOU AT THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST;

You see what Peter says. You will be saved when Jesus returns
No sir.
We are born again now.
If you are waiting for salvation to come some day, you are not born again. You are not saved.
Faith says, I have it now. Hope says, I will have it some day.
You are not saved by grace through hope, but through faith.
You are righteous now BECAUSE the Spirit of Christ is in you now.
You are born again because God has already removed the stony heart out of your flesh and gave you a heart of flesh, and aside from putting His Spirit in you, you also has already put a fresh, new, regenerated, righteous, and Godly spirit [man] in you.
When you received Christ as your personal lord and savior, at the very least, these things were done within you.
But that is not where it ends.
Unlike most, I have written many scripture verses with explanations that would cast reasonable doubt concerning OSAS.
So yes, I am convinced that it is possible for one to lose their salvation, and that is what 1 Peter is referring to.

if someone had unbelief they wouldnt know they were sinning in the first place

if someone thinks they have no need for Jesus then they would have no desire to follow the law.

if people believe in Jesus, love Jesus, they will keep His commands and do His Father will.

We humans cannot even keep the commandments but we are too proud to know it. Even when Jesus came and did everything for us regarding the way to the Father we still think we can do it on some level. It takes a revelation from the Holy Spirit to see the truth in the Bible. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.

Hebrews 4:12 For the Word of God is living and active and sharper than any two edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

We need a complete regeneration to see any of this stuff. We can't know how to love God until we first believe He loves us and sent His Son to save us. "Herein is love, not that we loved God but that He loved us and sent His son to be the propitiation for our sins." It's not about what we do for God but believing what He did for us.

Rom 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
There is no condemnation to those who walk after the Spirit only, not to the Christian who walks after the flesh.

If you read that verse Romans 8:1, you will find that the part you highlighted in red is not there. It was added in certain translations. You won't find it in the NASB. There is therefore NOW NO condemnation for those who are IN Christ Jesus. He who has the Son has life, he who has not the Son of God has not life but the wrath of God abides on him.

The wrath of God abides on those who do not have the Son. If you have the Son, you are accepted in the Beloved. It's ALL and ALWAYS about the Son. Not about us and what we can do but about Him and what He did.

the more I see what Jesus is talking about when He says, "In that day many will say to me."
LUKE 12 [31] But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.[32] FEAR NOT, LITTLE FLOCK; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

only a little flock will enter the kingdom {saved}

MATT.7 [13] Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:[14] Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and FEW THERE BE THAT FIND IT.

few there be that find it

MATT.7 [21] Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.[22] MANY WILL SAY to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?[23] And then will I profess unto them, I NEVER KNEW YOU: DEPART FROM ME, YE THAT WORK INIQUITY.

In footnotes of the KJB, iniquity equals lawlessness. You can find this in 2 THES. 2 verse 7. And the many have come in the name of JESUS saying we need not keep GODS 10 commandments.

LUKE 13 [23] Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them,[24] Strive to enter in at the strait gate: FOR MANY, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.[25] When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:[26] Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.[27] But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.

Jesus himself tells us that “the many” will not enter the Kingdom. And he explains why. They are workers of iniquity. They do not keep Gods law. HIS 10 commandments.

ISAIAH 24 [3] The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken this word.[4] The earth mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish.[5] The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, BROKEN THE EVERLASTING COVENANT.[6] Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, AND FEW MEN LEFT.

Well, here we are. The BOTTOM LINE. The DAY OF THE LORD (when Christ returns) and again the Word says that only a few will be saved to the kingdom.

LEV.24 [8] EVERY SABBATH he shall set it in order before the LORD continually, being taken from the children of Israel by AN EVERLASTING COVENANT.

Is this the everlasting covenant that they broke?

JEREMIAH 16 [19] O Lord, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, THE GENTILES shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.

In Jeremiah we find what will happen to most gentile believers when Jesus returns.

I will tell you what the OT Law is for today:

It is our schoolmaster. It reveals to the sinner why He need Jesus; unless He accepts the atoning work of Jesus, He will be judged according to that old Law. Rejecting the new means to be judged in the end by the old. There is wonder working power in the blood of the Lamb. If you keep refusing to acknowledge that, then you are going to end up in the lake of fire.

No! We are waiting patiently to receive what was guaranteed if we continue in faith:

"Once you were alienated from God and were hostile in your minds because of your evil deeds. But now He has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy, unblemished, and blameless in His presence— if indeed you continue in your faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope of the gospel you heard, which has been proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.

It is our schoolmaster.
Yeah its our schoolmaster. Do you have a passing grade or are you failing?

DEUT. 4 [2] YE SHALL NOT ADD UNTO THE WORD which I command you, NEITHER SHALL YE DIMINISH OUGHT FROM IT, that ye may KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS of the Lord your God which I command you.

This is truly ironical. This is being done now. There are "many" who have diminished the entire old testament to make it easier to make the claim that we need not follow Gods 10 commandments. But the new testament also tells us to keep the 10.

2TIM.3 [14] But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;[15] And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee WISE UNTO SALVATION through faith which is in Christ Jesus.[16] ALL SCRIPTURE IS GIVEN BY INSPIRATION OF GOD, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:[17] That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

So what scriptures make you wise unto SALVATION? Yeah, its the old testament scriptures

You posted nothing about the timing of being saved. As i said

ZECH.9 [14] And the LORD shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the LORD GOD shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south.[15] The LORD of hosts shall defend them; and they shall devour, and subdue with sling stones; and they shall drink, and make a noise as through wine; and they shall be filled like bowls, and as the corners of the altar.[16] AND THE LORD THEIR GOD SHALL SAVE THEM IN THAT DAY as the flock of his people: for they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon his land.

I bolded the "LAST TRUMPET" of 1Cor.15. Study "in that day" scriptures. No doubt about it. DAY OF THE LORD scripture. When Christ returns

I will tell you what the OT Law is for today: It is our schoolmaster.
Yup

ROMANS 3 [21] But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; [22] Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: [23] FOR ALL HAVE SINNED, AND COME SHORT OF THE GLORY of God; [24] BEING JUSTIFIED FREELY BY HIS GRACE through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: [25] Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; [26] To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. [27] Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. [28] THEREFORE WE CONCLUDE THAT A MAN IS JUSTIFIED BY FAITH WITHOUT THE DEEDS OF THE LAW. [29] Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also: [30] Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith. [31] DO WE THEN MAKE VOID THE LAW THROUGH FAITH? GOD FORBID: yea, we establish the law.

Because we all have broken the 10 commandments, we all have sinned and come up short. So we could never be justified by the keeping of the commandments, but by faith. But do we make void the law (10 commandments) because of that faith? GOD FORBID.

LUKE 17 [5] And the apostles said unto the Lord, INCREASE OUR FAITH. [6] And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you. [7] But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat? [8] And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink? [9] DOTH HE THANK THAT SERVANT BECAUSE HE DID THE THINGS THAT WERE COMMANDED HIM? I TROW NOT. [10] So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, WE ARE UNPROFITABLE SERVANTS: WE HAVE DONE THAT WHICH WAS OUR DUTY TO DO.

Verse 9. Some parables are so clear. Even though we have done which was our duty to do and did the things commanded of us, we are still unprofitable servants. Filthy rags. Its only by grace through faith that we are saved. OK, so what is our duty that we must do?

ECCLES. 12 [8] Vanity of vanities, saith the preacher; all is vanity. [9] And moreover, because the preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge; yea, he gave good heed, and sought out, and set in order many proverbs. [10] The preacher sought to find out acceptable words: and that which was written was upright, even words of truth. [11] THE WORDS OF THE WISE are as goads, and as nails fastened by the masters of assemblies, which are given from ONE SHEPHERD. [12] And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh. [13] LET US HEAR THE CONCLUSION OF THE WHOLE MATTER: FEAR GOD, AND KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS: FOR THIS IS THE WHOLE DUTY OF MAN. [14] For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Theres the conclusion of the whole matter. Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

If you look further, you might find which ones don't have it in there.

[h=1]A Mutilated New Testament[/h]
Few readers of God’s Word have the least notion of the differences between the Greek manuscripts on which almost all modern versions of Scripture are based and those used in the translation of the King James Version. That the two manuscripts, the Codex Sinaiticus and the Codex Vaticanus, contain not only deliberate alterations but are also the product of extremely careless copyists cannot be denied. Yet it is these two faulty manuscripts upon which so much weight is placed by the recent translators of Scripture. When the New International Version states in reference to Mark 16:9-20 that
[The two most reliable early manuscripts do not have Mark 16:9-20.] NIV, 1978
[The most reliable early manuscripts and other ancient witnesses do not have Mark 16:9-20.] NIV, 1984
they fail to mention both that hundreds of carefully copied manuscripts do indeed contain these words, and that in the Codex Vaticanus, the space for these verses is very clearly left, indicating a careless omission.
Not only are the Codex Sinaiticus and the Codex Vaticanus riddled with careless omissions and numerous spelling mistakes, but they also include such spurious books as the Apocrypha, Bel and the Dragon, and the Epistle of Barnabas.
Dr. Dobbin has estimated a total of 2,556 words or clauses omitted from the Codex Vaticanus New Testament alone.1 Not all these omissions are reflected in the modern translations. For instance, the Book of Revelation is totally omitted from the Codex Vaticanus, but has been preserved in the new translations.
Nevertheless numerous omissions are reflected in the new translations.2 The Gideon’s edition of the New International Version has attempted to cover up these disgraceful omissions by inserting translations from other texts, using square brackets to indicate that they do not belong to the original manuscripts.

On occasions these omissions have been used with telling effect to destroy Bible truth. Those who minimize the meaning of the term in Christ to that of an empty affirmation of belief are delighted to quote the following verse:
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1, NIV
Diligent students of the Bible will recognize that a vital explanatory clause has been omitted at the conclusion of this verse:
who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 8:1, KJV
Furthermore, this text places an entirely different complexion upon one’s understanding of the preceding verses of Romans 7.

Yeah its our schoolmaster. Do you have a passing grade or are you failing?
The Law convinced me of sin, I cried out to Jesus in repentance and ask Him to be my Lord and Saviour, and thus passed with an A+. PTL!

I am so glad that you are giving us the opportunity to spread the good news. It's a pity that you continue to reject it. Your days are numbered. You are playing Russian roulette not only with your present life, but with your eternity.
